Ground floor apartment close to town centre, with reserved parking space
This property is ideally located to visit Shakespeare's town and all the historic houses associated with that time. As you walk into the street you look onto the back garden of Shakespeare Birthplace, just a stones throw from the town center. The town is full of fine restaurants and bars making a warm welcome before visiting the three theaters located in the town. This spacious property was renovated to offer a well equipped modern kitchen while retaining some of the Victorian features. This property is ideal for elderly and those having difficulty with stairs. The property is located on the ground floor with a single step up to the kitchen and a very small step down into the master bedroom. The property also benefits from a large double ended bath or if you prefer you can use the step in shower cubicle. Whilst we are only 150 yards from the town we are positioned on a cobbled street with restricted parking. For your convenience we retain a parking space on a driveway in the next street, once unloaded your car can be parked on the driveway throughout your stay. There is one disabled bay on Great William Street and several more on Tyler Street, the nearest council car park is on Windsor Street where disabled visitors can park for free.

This property was within easy walking distance to shops, restaurants and pick up locations for tours. The property itself was lovely and just what we needed and wanted! We definitely recommend this property!
This property is spacious and extremely well equipped. The furniture is in excellent condition and comfortable and the bedding and towels are adequate.
The property is also in a very convenient location.
The apartment was very nice in a great location... just steps from Shakespeare's birthplace, shops and restaurants. We would definitely stay there again.
We were very impressed with the size and comfort of the apartment. Also, the location for being in Stratford-Upon-Avon could not be better. The main part of the town and Shakespeare's birthplace are across the street with a pedestrian stop light just there. Other lovely towns in the Cotswolds are only a few miles away.
Communication with the host was great and everything we needed was in the very clean apartment.
Highly recommend this place for a stay in the Cotswolds.
We stayed for 3 nights for a mother daughter weekend. Extremely impressed with the accommodation. Spotlessly clean and everything we needed for a fab getaway. Location could not have been better - as you come out the front door you can see the back of Shakespeare’s family home. Very close to all amenities, including the RSC theatre and butterfly farm (definitely both worth a visit!). The Victorian Christmas market was also just a stone’s throw away. Even though parking wasn’t directly outside of the property, it was only a couple of minutes walk along the canal which was lovely. The whole weekend completely exceeded our expectations and would highly recommend to anyone wanting a great apartment in a wonderful location.
To stay or not to stay… The answer to that question is an unequivocal yes!!!

Great location
It was a large two bedroom. The place looked as if it had been recently remodeled. Plenty of room. And it is very close to all of the central Stratford tourist areas. Really within walking distance. The reserved parking space is a little further than the "next street". It's maybe a five minute walk each way. It was nice that there was ice already in the freezer. I was able to make more quite quickly using the ice trays. It also has a large eating/dining area. I think I threw the host for a loop by booking it only two days before arrival. The initial check-in information had the wrong code for the key holder. The wifi access information was also wrong. I received correcting information for the key code a day or so later. I had to determine the correct wifi information by looking it up on the back of the wifi unit inside the apartment.
This was a fabulous stay - beautiful apartment in a very central but quiet location.we really loved walking up the street and down the lovely canal path to the right into the town and strsight to the locely market. The accomodation was faultless- well equipped, warm and so comfortable.thank you- we will be back I'm sure.
This property exceeded our expectations. It was warm, well-equipped and definitely centrally located. Arriving to find a large fully decorated Christmas tree was a delightful surprise. Our host answered questions promptly and there was a helpful folder of advice. We will be returning to this absolute gem.
Great apartment in wonderful location. Comfortable with excellent facilities. Car parking on neighbouring street caused no issues. Slight issues getting central heating to work. Issues with TV, couldnt access apps to be able to watch prime, netfix erc. coildnt access
Lovely apartment, clean and tidy, great location and good communication with the owner. This property is also suitable for guests with limited mobility -a big plus for us. Thank you.
I loved it so much that when my plans changed I am going right back! The flat actually seems bigger than the pictures, beautifully decorated, quiet, easy walk to everything you need, lovely host. I have been traveling for 7 weeks now and this my favorite so far.

About the host

I have owned Globe House since 2007 when I lived around the corner next to the canal. It's a lovely part of town and in very close proximity to the town centre. I enjoy walking along the canal path in both directions and sometimes walk from home down to the holiday cottage along this route. I enjoy preparing the holiday cottage for guests to arrive and can often be found during un-rented periods with a paintbrush or screwdriver in hand. I love hearing from guests that have enjoyed their break from their usual day to day grind and have left relaxed and refreshed. My special interest in bedding drives my partner nuts, we are often testing new pillows and towels as I aim to provide comfort and relaxation for your stay.
Why they chose this property
The property has a lot of history, during it's lifetime it has been a publishing house, a pub and a holiday cottage. The property was in dire need of renovation when I bought the property and with a bit of time and a lot of love the pub was converted into two apartments. The ground floor provides a lovely space to stay just a stone's throw from all the hubbub of the town centre.
What makes this property unique
The renovation was done to include some of the old expectations of a Victorian house that can be seen in the bathroom and the feature fireplace in the lounge with a mixture of new with a modern kitchen and en-suite wetroom to the master bedroom.
