Lovely time in this sweet little house. Extremely clean and cosy with a nice burner. the garden was a little smaller than we had imagined but absolutely fine to sit around and admire the beautiful view and peaceful surroundings. We met the local shepherd and had lovely walks around. It was really a fantastic place to stay on the island away from the crowds.

This was such a fun place to stay at! There was plenty of space in the house and parking was easy. We enjoyed the cows/sheep. Everyone near the property and Lorraine was super sweet
Absolute beautiful property in a remote part of Isle of Skye. Spotless clean with plenty of room to spread out. Exactly as described. Loved the array of animals we got to see while we stayed there. Looking forward to staying there again!

Thank you for your review Douglas, it is very much appreciated. I am so glad you so enjoyed your stay in Willie McLeod’s House. All good wishes for the future, Lorraine
This was the best place to stay—a beautiful house, cozy bedrooms, lovely downstairs sitting area with fireplace and dining room, lovely kitchen with everything we needed. I loved the one small bedroom upstairs whose window looks out over the beautiful landscape outside. Lorraine made us feel most welcome. It’s a bit of a drive out to reach the house, but so very worth it. We even had a rainbow and a full harvest moon while we were there.

This is truly an exceptional home and place to stay. The location in the remote north of Isle of Skye with surrounding farmland and sea views was superb and incredibly peaceful. The house is delightful, spacious, well equipped and we felt right at home. Highly recommend.
We wanted a place away from it all, and this house fit the bill perfectly! The house was neat and clean and well located for the activities we wanted to do on the Isle. So many sheep everywhere, but that added to the charm!

Thank you for taking the time to write a review of your stay in WMH Benjamin. I am so glad that the cottage provided all that you were looking and hoping for.
The sheep are very much an integral part of the landscape and are definitely loved by many!
Stay was wonderful. Accommodations were fantastic. Host Lorraine was terrific and made us feel at home. We loved meeting Alan the Crofter and his 4-legged border collie family.
Very clean, comfortable, authentic croft house in a remote location on the beautiful Isle of Skye. Great place to stay for an extended stay in Skye. We were there for only 2 nights and it wasn’t enough to really explore the island. The owner/host is amazing! She made sure everything we needed was readily available and in good order before we got there.

I am so glad you enjoyed exploring this magical island, like so many guests you too realised that 2 nights isn’t really sufficient to see even a fraction of its wonder. Maybe you will visit again someday…….
Kind regards,

About the host
Hosted by Lorraine Harlow
I have lived permanently on the Isle of Skye for 11 years after retiring early from being a Forest School leader and working with children with special needs. I first visited Skye 28 years ago and lost my heart to this stunning island. My passion is being out in the landscape but in particular walking in the mountains on Skye and all over Scotland and the islands, travelling around in my Campervan.
Why they chose this property
Willie McLeods House is located in a very quite, open, rural position with uninterrupted views to the Quiraing on the Trottenish Ridge and the towering mountains along the West Coast of mainland Scotland. The property has recently undergone a complete upgrade, inside and out and caters for your every need after a day out walking or sightseeing.
What makes this property unique
Very quite location, walks from the front door, uninterrupted views, in full view of the most amazing Hebredian sunrises.
