This cottage is set in a lovely location looking out to sea, 1.3 miles from the village of Uig on the Isle of Skye and sleeps six people in three bedrooms.

Jubilee Cottage is a detached cottage offering sea and mountain views, close to the village of Uig, 15 miles from Portree on the Isle of Skye. This cottage sleeps six people and has three bedrooms, consisting of one ground floor double, one double and one twin as well as a family bathroom. The cottage also has a fitted kitchen with sitting area and woodburning stove and a conservatory with a sitting area and a dining area. Outside, this cottage has off road parking for 3 cars and front and rear gardens. Jubilee Cottage is a delightful holiday home for exploring all that this excellent island has to offer.

Jubilee has to be the best place ever, Martin and Lisa are wonderful people and the house is so cosy with knock out views.Thank you so much for your warm and toasty welcome and delicious lemon cake.We will be telling all our friends about the magical place with stunning views.

This was our favorite VRBO experience possibly ever. We loved the location. The hosts were lovely. We were relatively close to several highlights on the Isle of Skye. And we just loved spending time in the home together. It was perfect.

Quick visit in Uig

The property is located in a great little village and has the most breathtaking views! The cottage is well equipped and very cozy. The owner left a lemon pound cake and milk which was a wonderful gesture. However our interaction with the owner was complicated from the beginning. To be let into the property you have to meet with the property owner who lives next door. He had plans to watch the futball game so we had to make sure we met him outside of those hours. Additionally, we had friends staying nearby that we invited to have dinner with us. We told them this when we checked in. When our friends arrived the owner came out and told us they could not stay because it would be too many people in the house. I would like to add that we are not a group of young people planning to party. We are all professionals with families enjoying a holiday together. Half of our friends left after his rude interaction with them. Others were able to stay and we enjoyed dinner and the view hoping to see some wildlife while our kids played along the beach. We drank wine and got thrown off of the time by the sun staying in the sky so late in the day. Instead of one friend and her child driving back to their rental we invited them to stay on the couch in the rental. Bright and early the next day the owner came knocking on the door telling us that we broke the rules and he watched it all on his CCTV. He also said because we are Americans he hadn’t trusted us from the beginning. I understand we had

Cottage conforme à la description. Vue imprenable sur mer et paisible. Attention, la salle de bain n'est pas pratique pour les plus de 1,80m. Je recommande vivement ce cottage d'autant plus qu'il y a beaucoup de chose à voir sur l'ile de Skye.

Schönes ruhiges Haus an wunderschönem Ort

Wir haben drei Wochen Urlaub im Jubilee Cottage gemacht, zu einer eher rauen Jahreszeit (Weihnachten bis Mitte Januar). Der Empfang durch Martin und Lisa war sehr herzlich, samt Weihnachtsgeschenken und Enkelkindern, die mit dampfendem frischen Shortbread vor der Tür standen. Hinreißend! Das Haus ist gemütlich und zweckmäßig eingerichtet. Für passionierte Hobbyköche (wie uns) ist die Küchenausstattung manchmal etwas "basic", aber das ist bei einem Ferienhaus nicht anders zu erwarten und völlig okay. Die Lage direkt am Meer ist absolut fantastisch. Abends im Sunroom/Wintergarten zu sitzen und auf die Bucht rauszuschauen, ist Urlaub pur. Auch unsere Hunde haben die Aussicht und den (perfekt eingezäunten!) Garten sehr genossen. Manchmal haben wir Otter und Reiher am Strand gesehen, ohne Fernglas, nah am Haus. Natürlich ist Uig nicht der Nabel von Skye, also muss man für manche Ausflüge ein bisschen Fahrzeit einplanen. Aber in der Umgebung gibt es viele schöne Ziele (Quiraing, Rubha Hunish, Gold Cave, …), und die 24 km bis Portree zum Einkaufen etc. sind auch nicht allzu weit. Für den täglichen Bedarf reicht aber auch der kleine Shop in der Tankstelle, und die Brauerei zweihundert Meter vor der Haustür hat natürlich auch ihre Vorzüge... ;-) Alles in allem eine sehr empfehlenswerte Bleibe auf einer traumhaft schönen Insel. Wir hatten ein bisschen Pech mit dem Wetter, weil die Kombination aus mehreren Tagen Dauerregen und starken Winterwinden zwischendurch zu tropfenden Stellen im Dach des Vorbaus geführt haben - aber der Handwerker hat die Sache schon gesichtet, während wir noch da waren. Das sollte also bald behoben sein - kein Punktabzug! Vielen Dank an Martin und Lisa und volle Empfehlung!
