Welcome to St Maude, a country cottage set in 4.5 acres of gardens and woodland. Ideal for nature lovers, sit and relax and watch the buzzards and sparrow hawks circling or take a walk through the woods where you can try and spot the local wildlife. Fox and badger are regular visitors here and you may even spot deer if you're up early enough! The cottage is situated in a tranquil country setting, yet the local village is just 2 mins away and the historical market town of Rostrenen, with its excellent selection of shops and restaurants, is a short 15 minute drive. Guests have access to our heated indoor swimming pool 9m x 4m.

This is the third time we have stayed here and love the property. It is clean, well equipped and a real home from home. The hosts are amenable, friendly and attentive. The grounds and pool are both fantastic and our three children didn’t want to leave! Thank you to Dawn and Graham for their hard work and friendliness.

Perfect relaxing holiday

Had a great 2 weeks stay . Gite is lovely, really clean, homely, spacious, well equipped with everything you need. The pool was fab too and we used it daily . Graham and Dawn were great hosts - very friendly welcome , there if you needed them but never intrusive . Thank you for a wonderful holiday.

June stay in Plouray

Peace and quiet with a private pool, good outdoor space and plenty of games to occupy children. Dawn and Graham are friendly and on hand to help with any queries however give you the space and freedom to relax on your own. Well equipped and clean accommodation, bigger than expected, a lovely welcome.

Wonderful!

We had a wonderful holiday, so relaxing, peaceful and such beautiful surroundings. Graham and Dawn were absolutely lovely, very warm and welcoming. The gîte is beautiful, very clean and comfortable with everything that you could want - a real home from home. The private pool is fantastic and the garden a perfect place to sit and relax with a glass of wine in the evening. One of the best gîtes we have ever stayed in, we wished we could have stayed longer than a week! Many thanks for making our first trip back to France since the pandemic a real treat.

Week end de l'Ascension à Plouray

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour. Le gite est très bien aménagé, la piscine intérieure est vraiment très agréable. Les enfants ont aussi adoré profiter des jeux d'extérieur.

Gîte très sympa à plouray, Bretagne

Gîte tres sympa, super bien équipé. Nous avons voyager avec 2 bebes ( 7 et 9 mois), le propriétaire nous as fournit 2 lit voyage bebe et aussi 1 chaise haute. L'extérieur bien entretenue et plusieurs jeux disponible. La priscine chauffée c'est un vrais plus. Un merci aux propriétaires qui nous on tres bienr ecu avec un panier de bienvenue.

Séjour reposant en famille

Nous recherchions du calme, de l’espace et une piscine! La maison de Dawn & Graham est très agréable, très propre et très très bien équipée pour cuisiner et faire un barbecue. Le jardin est immense et dispose de nombreux jeux qui ont fait le bonheur des enfants. La piscine est dans une dépendance spacieuse , lumineuse avec un coin détente pour lire et surveiller les enfants . La piscine est bien entretenue , propre, chauffée et accessible jusque 20h. Nous remercions Graham et Dawn qui habitent la maison accolée et ont donc été disponibles en cas de besoin. Le petit bémol: il n’y avait pas de sèche-linge comme mentionné, on aurait aimé s’éviter les contraintes du linge à étendre pendant les vacances. Bon séjour à Plouray !

Vacances en famille

Nous avons choisi ce lieu car au calme et proposait une piscine intérieure parfait pour nos enfants Nous avons eu une météo favorable et sommes majoritairement partis en visite mais les enfants ont tout de même pu en profiter ainsi que des extérieurs en fin de journée. La maison comporte beaucoup de commodités et accessoires, pour enfant en bas âges, des jeux pour petits et grands, intérieurs et extérieur. Nous adultes avons apprécié le fait de pouvoir cuisiner comme à la maison dans une cuisine spacieuse, la possibilité de faire un feu de cheminée, la machine à laver a été aussi très utile.. bref je recommande ce lieu, Le seul tout petit bémol est que nous avons dû faire beaucoup de kilomètres pour nos visites, courses ou pharmacie. Mais nous le savions à l’avance lors du choix de l’hébergement, ça n’était pas une mauvaise surprise.

Eine Idylle in der Bretagne!

Ein fantastischer Ort um zu entspannen! Der Ort ist ruhig gelegen und man wohnt mitten unter den Einheimischen. Genauso wollten wir es! Dawn und Graham sind so lieb und hilfsbereit, wohnten nebenan in ihrem Haus und bei allen Fragen immer ansprechbar! Wundervolle Gastgeber! Ein schöner Urlaub, vielen Dank dafür!

Just fantastic

It’s hard to think of anything to say that’s not already been said! Graham and Dawn were fantastic, the cottage was incredible, the pool was great and I just can’t think of anywhere else that I’d have rather taken my family for our first family holiday together. Really do hope we can stay there again soon!

It is a joy to wake up and be surrounded by picturesque countryside.

One day you can be completely isolated, losing the day just pottering around the woods and gardens, and
on the next day we can be partying at a local fete or dining with friends and neighbours.
