Superb accommodation and delightful hosts
Our holiday began with the delightful Susan and Tony greeting us warmly, leading us into their beautiful garden and plying us with tea, biscuits and advice about places to visit.
When we dragged ourselves away to unload the car we found that the barn has been converted into a beautiful, cosy holiday home, equipped with everything we needed and spotlessly clean. It has its own well-maintained garden and a patio with outdoor furniture (which unfortunately we hardly used because the weather was unseasonably cool).
We found a wide variety of things to do in the area: we toured National Trust properties; we explored Wells and its cathedral; we bought bargains at Cheddar’s massive Sunday car boot and market (BS27 3RP); we lunched in lovely old country inns; we spent a day in Bristol (via Brislington Park & Ride, BS4 5LR); we visited pretty local villages such as Mells (with its historic church) and Nunney (with its moated castle ruin); we discovered the nearby Bookbarn (at Hallatrow, BS39 6EX), with thousands of used books all at £1; and on one day my wife relaxed painting in the garden while I went birding on the Somerset Levels.
We are already making plans to return next year — probably for two weeks rather than one.

Warm welcome from gracious hosts who offered us tea on arrival and an interesting chat about places to visit. The barn is spotlessly clean, lovely setting, private garden - very cosy. We loved the peace and were happy to come back to the barn after days out. Highly recommended - would definitely return.

Thank you for your review. It was a real pleasure having you both to stay in Beanacre Barn. We are particularly pleased that you visited so many of the fascinating places in the area, and that you were able to 'chill' in the Barn's garden on your return. There must be places you've missed that justify a return visit!
The property was spotlessly clean on arrival and is equipped with everything you will need including a TV in the lounge and bedroom.
The hosts Susan and Tony were terrific. They took time to advise on the best places to eat and nice places to visit - all over a welcome cup of tea during the meet and greet.
A great find for a great holiday.

Thank you Chris, we are so pleased you enjoyed your weekend in the Beanacre Barn. It was a pleasure to meet you and Pamela and we hope you will consider a return visit - there is much more to see and do in this lovely part of the South West.
The perfect stay. I booked this as it had a garden and full kitchen incase we were stuck in with a covid lockdown.
The private garden was idyllic and whilst we toured around we often came back to enjoy the sun in the garden. The cottage was beautifully clean and comfortable.
Tony and Susan the perfect hosts and made us feel welcome. The weather was kind too so added to the fact Barnacre was the ideal base for exploring in a car. Thank you. We will definitely recommend this.

Myself and my fiance wanted a week somewhere quiet and pretty to escape from it all and Beanacre Barn certainly delivered. The barn itself was beautiful inside and out, the gardens so pretty. The weather could have been a bit kinder but we did manage to spend time in the garden just enjoying the peacefulness. There are loads of attractions close by eg Cheddar Gorge, Wells, Glastonbury and Weston S Mare if you fancy a trip to the coast. We loved it and would certainly return!

What a fabulous place, well maintained and looked after, everything you need is in the cottage, includes outside furniture to sit in the wonderful, peaceful, garden.
The hosts Susan and Tony couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble.
Would definitely stay again.

indrukwekkend !!!!!!

Thank you Ellie for your kind comments. For non-Dutch speakers I attach a translation!
"impressive !!!!!! We were pleasantly surprised when we saw "the Barn". Tony and Susan have beautifully restored it with very beautiful elements such as the doors and wooden trusses. From the bedroom you can see the church. Everything you need and more is present in this lovely home. We were spoiled with tomatoes and apples from the garden. And if there was anything we could appeal to our very common host and hostess. We are going to draw all our friends' attention to the pictures with accompanying stories at "the Barn" in Binegar."

Wonderful stay in the countryside
We highly recommend Beanacre Barn where we have stayed four times now and had a wonderful holiday on each occasion. The owners, Sue and Tony, go out of their way to make you feel welcome. The quality of the accommodation is excellent. It is very well equipped, and very comfortable. As well as the spacious lounge, dining area/kitchen and bedroom, there is a marvellous patio where we sit and relax after a day touring Wells and other Somerset towns. A great place for a peaceful stay in the countryside.

A very comfortable cottage in a lovely setting
Susan and Tony were very welcoming, the cottage was clean throughout and equipped to a high standard. It is set in attractive garden surroundings and a peaceful location. For us it was ideally positioned for visiting places we were interested in like Bath and Wells as well as attractive country walks nearby (e.g. at Nunney). We are very likely to return at some point and would certainly recommend staying there to others.

Beanacre Barn
We enjoyed a lovely stay at Beanacre Barn in the Somerset countryside. Beautiful barn, cosy, fully equiped and very clean.
The garden, wildife and birdsong is sublime, ventured to the local pub and as it was Easter they had a free bbq, very friendly local people.
We look forward to returning in the future
Thank you Susan and Tony
