Great cottage with a lovely location and fabulous bathrooms
Really lovely cottage in the beautiful grounds of Newstead Abbey. It’s very peaceful, just the occasional clip clip of horses with nice pubs and a good range of walks nearby which all of us and the dog really enjoyed. The welcome crumble and fabulous en-suite were a great bonus and Steve was really helpful.

We enjoyed our holiday in the Granary very much: We had a warm welcome with cake, tea and milk. The cottage was spacious, well equipped, cosy and warm. There was everything we needed. Thanks very much to Stephen and Carol
My family and I stayed in the Granary Cottage for 2 weeks. The cottage was spacious, clean and had all the necessary amenities. Any queries were answered promptly by Steve and instructions for checking in and out were very clear. Set in the grounds of Newstead Abbey, this is a beautiful place to stay. We would definitely recommend the Granary Cottage to friends and family. Thank you Steve and Carol.
Spacious and comfortable accommodation , well supplied with bathrooms ( 2 very large baths). Immediate access to fields and woodland. 15 minute walk to the Newstead Abbey grounds with its gardens and lakes. In the evenings very peaceful surroundings as public access is restricted. We were there for one week only and so not time to explore the evening performances of plays at the Abbey.
During the day the Abbey tea rooms serves very good coffee and my grandaughter was particularly taken with the 'Biscoff Dream' milkshakes and sitting reading a book in the shade by the lake near the waterfall.

Thank you Richard, so glad you enjoyed your time here. Sorry we were not here to meet you as we were in Norway during your stay. We hope to meet you in the future should you decide to visit us again.

It's not that easy to find a nice rural retreat close to Nottingham, but this flat was perfect for both access to the city and returning to a calm oasis at night. The flat is very comfortable, and the bedrooms in particular (each with its own full bath with massive shower/tub!) are gorgeous. It was very nice to be insulated from the world outside by the park of Newstead Abbey. The kitchen was very well-equipped and easy to cook in. Communication with the owner about check-in was clear and easy. We had an excellent stay and highly recommend this listing.
Lovely place to stay. Newstead Abbey is a fabulous place to visit. Good for dog walks. Easy access to pubs and restaurants but with a feeling of isolation.
Great space. Great bathrooms. Peace & quiet. Good place to use as a base for visiting friends & family in the area. Added bonus of an amazing homemade cake when we arrived!
Just two minor things, we would have loved some sofa blankets to snuggle up with and possibly more lighting in the courtyard but apart from that we loved it. Would definitely visit again 😁
We very much enjoyed our visit to Newstead and the owners were very helpful. It’s a fabulous place, and the Abbey and grounds are beautiful. Thoroughly recommend it.
