About this property
Ashover Derbyshire Luxury rural Holiday cottage ensuite facilities to both rooms
Cavendish Cottage is set within the owners grounds but has complete privacy with its own garden, it makes the perfect base for exploring the Derbyshire countryside & Peak District National park with Matlock being 3 miles away and a 20 minute drive from Chatsworth House. Ashover has plenty to offer with a local farm shop serving refreshments and a country Inn serving homemade food within walking distance. There are 3 further pubs in the village including the award winning CAMRA district pub of the year - the 'Old Poet's Corner' with its own microbrewery.
There are numerous walks from the doorstep and lots of beautiful countryside to explore, the cottage has a variety of maps and leaflets to help plan your stay. The High peak, Tissington and Monsal trails are ideal for cycling and walkers alike. The picturesque town of Bakewell is a short drive away, be sure to visit on market day (Monday) and feed the ducks while walking along the River Wye with its 13th century bridge. Also don't miss out on tasting an original Bakewell pudding.
The cottage itself is a cosy retreat with a light and airy feel and beautifully presented. The front door opens into an open plan living area where you will find underfloor heating throughout and a wood burning stove. The kitchen is well equipped with Bosch appliances: dishwasher, under counter fridge with freezer compartment, washing machine, electric oven and induction hob. The ground floor has plenty of seating with a leather suite and story tellers chair all looking onto woodlands. The cottage has WIFI access and a selection of board games, books and DVD's for guests to use.
Upstairs there are two bedrooms one master bedroom with kingsize bed and one twin both with en suite facilities. All linen and fresh towels are provided. Outside you will find ample off road parking along with a private enclosed garden with lawn, patio and furniture.
Whether it be a romantic secluded getaway or an action packed holiday the cottage is the perfect place to stay.
