Quiet remote farmhouse
We had a lovely relaxing week at the farmhouse. We climbed Snowdon, kayaked on Lake Bala and had wonderful fish and chips at Barmouth. Megan was very helpful during our booking and stay at the farmhouse. The location is just as described, lovely quiet and remote. Would recommend this house to anyone wanting a relaxing base to explore this area of Wales.

So good it's our third visit Plas Madog
Wonderful relaxing holiday. This time we visited Llyn Vyrnwy Dam, Plas Newyyd on Anglesey, walked up Snowdon, took a ride on the Ffestiniog Railway, visited Bodnant Gardens, Caenarfon Castle and the Four Waterfalls in the Brecon Beacons on our way home. Impossible to pick a favourite and the farm house is just a wonderful place to stay with everything we needed in glorious countryside.

Host profile image
I'm Megan and I have managed the leisure part of our business for over 35 years, we also have a farm but now let the land for sheep grazing so the farm buildings are redundant. I am a mother of 2 sons - one a senior civil engineer working away from home and the other has his own business living nearby, and has made me a proud grandmother to 4 lovely grandchildren. I enjoy travelling, walking, swimming and eating out in my spare time.

Why they chose this property

Have owned this property since 1975 and have lived and raised my family in it until 1995, since then is has been let as a holiday accommodtion until 2013 when the house was completely renovated inside and out and is like new and very spacious inside.

What makes this property unique

Peace and tranquillity of the countryside. Easy access to walking routes and paths.
