Wonderful private chalet with a beautiful garden and outdoor hot tub.

Guests have exclusive use of the whole property.
Newly renovated charming chalet in the peaceful and romantic village of Vaudagne in the commune of Les Houches. Only 5 minutes drive from the shops, restaurants and ski lifts of Les Houches but the setting is rural and very pretty in winter snow or in summer with the alpine flowers and lush forests.
Renovated to a luxury standard September 2014 Chalet Fiz now boasts 3 spacious double bedrooms 2 with ensuite bathrooms, a high spec kitchen, 6 man hot tub and very large garden.
3 double bedroom detached chalet. 2 bathrooms (2 showers, 1 bath), fully fitted designer kitchen, dining area with seating for up to 8, comfortable living area with wood burner.
Chalet Fiz is located in the pretty mountain village of Vaudagne, 5 minutes drive from the bars, restaurants and lift system of Les Houches. Chamonix town is only 10/15 minutes drive.
The chalet has a 2000 sq meter garden at the back with a small stream running through it and great views of the Fiz mountain range.
At the front Chalet Fiz has a long balcony with wonderful views across to the Chaine des Fiz mountains and at night the twinkling lights of Passy village below.
The setting of the chalet is very quiet and calm and the large garden behind the chalet is wonderful. Chalet Fiz is a lovely mountain getaway but the lifts and bright lights of Les Houches and Chamonix are very close.

A car is recommended but there is a nearby (walkable) train stop at Vaudagne. Alternatively please ask me and I can arrange airport and in-resort transfers for the duration of your stay.

Chalet Fiz has 3 spacious bedrooms all with very comfortable double beds. The chalet can sleep up to 8 people as 2 single beds can be added to the largest top floor bedroom. There are 2 bathrooms offering 1 bath and 2 separate showers.

The living area is well appointed and comfortable with WiFi, Bluetooth stereo system, UK satellite and French internet TV. There is an extendable dining table with seating for 8 and a brand new well equipped kitchen. The centre piece of the living area is the huge wood burner that keeps the whole house warm and welcoming. Wood is provided at no extra cost.

The front of the chalet has a balcony with nice views out of the valley across to the Chaine des Fiz mountains and Servoz village below. At the back of the chalet is a 2000 sq meter garden with fruit trees and a stream running through it.

There is also a large decking area with 6 man hot tub.

Summer or winter Chalet Fiz offers a very peaceful and pretty location along with high standard accommodation.

Corin is on call if needed.

The Neighborhood is tranquil with lovely views and surroundings. Quiet road and easy access to the forest trails.
Enjoy the beautiful garden summer or winter on the decking or in the hot tub.
The Vaudagne train station is 10 minutes walk through the forest.
Parking for up to 4 cars on site.

Geneva airport is 50 minutes drive.

Great stay!

We just got back from a wonderful week at the chalet and enjoyed it very much! It's a charming and cozy place, kitchen is well equipped and the garden - even in winter - lovely, with a lot of space and privacy.

My partner and I, plus our dog, stayed in the chalet for 4 nights in September. The chalet was clean, cosy and really nicely decorated. The garden is beautiful and it was so peaceful and relaxing sitting in the hot tub surrounded by trees. The chalet is conveniently located to explore the surrounding areas. Check in/check out was easy and seamless. We would highly recommend and would definitely stay again.

The house is simply perfect and clean. Corin is a very caring host. We loved the hot tub. The train passing by is very quiet and gives a genuine Alps cachet to the location. Conveniently located with a rental car, minutes to Les Houches and an easy drive to Chamonix.

Wonderfully Equipped Vacation Chalet

My wife and I stayed at Corin's chalet for a few days before departing on the Tour du Mont Blanc. The house was very nice and well equipped with everything we needed. It was nestled away from town and had a nice outdoor space and ample privacy but was also only a short walk away from a stop on the local train route that ran through Chamonix. Corin was very responsive when I reached out to her with a couple of questions during our trip. We hope we get the opportunity to stay again the future.

We (3 couples) had a great time at chalet fiz.

The garden is beautiful and the hot tub and fire place (only way of heating!) are fantastic treats and function very well and easily. The first day we didn't have WiFi, but it got fixed on the second day, which was great. Also, we were very happy that they could arrange an early drop off of our luggage and a late check out for us. The location is great, too, very quiet and pretty remote, so a car is recommended.

Wonderful stay!

We spent five nights at chalet fiz and everything was exactly as described. Communication with the owner was very prompt and friendly. Highlights were the hot tub, wood fire and magical garden to explore.

super chalet au calme

C'était la deuxième fois que nous venions dans ce beau chalet. Le chalet est au calme total. Le jardin est magnifique et c'est un bonheur de se poser sur la terrasse sans aucun vis à vis. Tout a été fait pour que nous passions un super séjour.

Nous avons passé un bon séjour dans ce chalet avec jacuzzi. Il manquait un petit livret explicatif pour l'arrivée notamment pour le jacuzzi et le poele à bois. La description de l'annonce correspond bien a la réalité. La chambre du haut mériterait un petit rafraichissement ainsi que dans la salle de bain.

Schönes modernes Ferienhaus mit Aussenwhirlpool

Wir waren 4 Nächte im Ferienhaus, welches alles bietet, was man braucht. Es liegt in der Nähe zu vielen Skigebieten und man kann jeden Tag ein anderes ausprobieren. Im Haus haben wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt, besonders im modernen Bad mit begehbarer Dusche und Fußbodenheizung. Auch haben wir uns jeden Abend im Aussenwhirlpool entspannen können. Wir waren außerdem begeistert vom Holzofen, welcher Wärme und Gemütlichkeit ins Wohnzimmer bringt. Holz wird zur Verfügung gestellt. Wir waren zu 4 im Ferienhaus. Den oberen Bereich mit den weiteren Schlafräumen und dem kleinen Bad haben wir nicht genutzt. Wir würden jederzeit gerne wieder eine Auszeit in diesem Ferienhaus genießen wollen!!!

Seul point négatif, totalement inacceptable aux personnes handicapées ou âgées malgré les dires du propriétaire stipulant que le bas était accessible et le haut aussi dépendamment de la force des accompagnants. Lovely, quiet and comfortable chalet

We had a great week's stay at Chalet Fiz during summer 2017. The chalet was very comfortable for our family (two couples and two children aged 3 and 5) - the hot tub was fantastic, the garden was lovely and the accommodation was well appointed. It is in a quiet location which was perfect for us - slightly away from the busyness of Chamonix but an easy 15 minute drive into town (or less to Les Houches). We hope to return to the Chamonix valley and would be pleased to stay at Chalet Fiz again.

Great place, great location!

Chalet Fiz was simply amazing! Beautiful interiors, newly refurbished with all the amenities one needs. The garden is a real delight too and the cherry on the cake is the jacuzzi on the terrace. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will surely be back.

Le chalet de Corin est parfait! Idéalement situé à deux pas de l'autoroute tout en étant isolé et permettant de se sentir seuls au monde dans ce chalet idyllique! Aussi bien l'intérieur que l'extérieur de ce chalet sont parfaits! L'aménagement des pièces, la pièce à vivre invitant à la détente, les chambres, les literies, le jacuzzi, le jardin avec son petit ruisseau ... tout est fait pour vous faire passer un superbe séjour! Je recommande vivement ce chalet!

The perfect mountain get away

This is a perfect mountain chalet for a group of people visiting the Chamonix Valley. Straight out the door you are into stunning alpine countryside with numerous paths to explore. Chamonix is just ten minutes down the road in the car, but Les Houches is even closer and has two supermarkets. The chalet itself is sumptuously decorated with a keen eye for detail and also includes some enchanting photography from the local area. There is everything you could possibly want here. The fire is a wonderful contraption to behold and soon has the place warmed up. And the hot tub is fantastic. All rooms are comfortable and well equipped. The beds are very comfy. Corin is a knowledgeable and charming host who makes sure you have everything you could possibly need and even keeps you abreast of local events. The garden is also beautiful and clearly a lot of effort has gone into it. It's so pretty I want to go back there with my daughter just to show her how wonderful a garden can be. A real gem that I would definitely recommend to anybody. I hope I will return.

Why they chose this property

Chalet Fiz is a really charming chalet with a large, beautiful garden. The chalet is in a charming hamlet but only a short drive to all the other parts of the valley as the motorway is very close by car. Les Houches is only 5 minutes and has everything you need with the best supermarkets in the valley.
Chalet Fiz is also very warm and cosy in winter with the huge wood burner and you can watch the snow fall through the triple folding doors at one end of the lounge. These can be completely opened up in summer with access onto the large new deck and 5 man hot tub. The lounge, bedrooms and beds are all very comfortable and the main bathroom and kitchen very stylish after a full renovation. There is also a good tv and sound system with a DVD collection.



What makes this property unique

The very large garden with a stream running through it and surrounding forest is an unusual bonus in the valley. In summer there are many flowers and the forest is amazingly green!
I love the outdoor hot tub under the stars and the sound of the stream running through the garden.
Vaudagne is a great place to go for walks and admire the stunning scenery. Les Houches is also a great place to ski with lovely forest runs and great 360 views. The restaurants on the pistes in Les Houches are also the best in the valley.

WOOD BURNER INSTRUCTIONS:

When you first light the wood burner please:

1. Chop up the logs into small lengths using the axe and chopping block provided by the wood pile.

2. Open all the vents. There are 2 on the top of the burner. And also a silver metal tab at on the front, pull this open and it will slowly close itself as the burner heats up. You can also leave the door slightly open for the first 5 - 10 minutes after ignition but remember to close it when the fire is going , don't
leave unattended until the door is fully closed!

3. Use the wood wool to light the fire, DO NOT use paper or cardboard but only firelighters (provided).

4. If you use the wood burner correctly you should not have any black staining of the glass. DO NOT put round or large logs on at any time, always split them even when the fire is going.

5. Please use the drawer under the wood burner to dry the wood completely to ensure a clean burn.
