Rural Cottage El Orgazal

Villa Rural El Orgazal.
Villa with private swimming pool with wonderful mountain and sunset views, air conditioning, WiFi connection and pets friendly.
Situated just 2 km. from the village of El Gastor, this bright, rustic-style villa offers comfortable accommodation in the tranquil countryside whilst being just a 5 minute drive from the local village. Situated on a private 1-acre plot of land, the views the mountains are spectacular. A large 5x9 metre filtered private pool is surrounded by a terrace for sun-bathing and pretty flower beds. A smaller part of the finca is reserved as a carefully tended vegetable garden and small orchard. Depending upon the time of the year, Mateo is delighted to share part of the bio and fresh produce such as tomatoes, melons, peppers, etc. with his guests. All the accommodation is at ground level and comprises 3 bedrooms (two of them with 1 double bed each on and the other with 2 twin beds), 1 full bathroom with a walk-in shower, WC, wash-basin and bidet, an open-plan fully equipped kitchen and a comfortable lounge-diner. A porch and swimming pool offers another 3 areas to sit outside with a drink and enjoy fabulous views of the Lagarin mountain. The swimming pool is accessed by a couple of steps to one side of the villa.

We enjoyed our stay at El Orgazal very much. Although it was a bit hard to find in the dark. Mateo was so friendly and helpful and the property was lovely, inside and out. A great base location to visit the surrounding White Villages.

Spectacular setting

This is a delightful property, homely comfortable and well equipped inside, with a beautiful garden and pool and amazing view. The owners were so pleasant and helpful. There are several interesting Pueblos Blancos to explore nearby and numerous hiking trails with glorious views.

A Perfect Location and Lovely Property

We were made very welcome and given all the information that we needed before and at the start of the stay. The house is lovely, set in private gardens with a tremendous view. The pool was absolutely lovely. The are plenty of places to sit to eat, sunbathe or read. I totally recommend this place and thank the owners for a super holiday.

Wonderful place to stay!!

Julio and his mum and dad were perfect hosts. Everything was beautifully clean and there was a much appreciated welcome pack on arrival. The views from the villa are breathtaking and the large pool is kept super clean. We enjoyed the sunrise in the morning and the sunset in the evening. It was the perfect place for us to unwind for ten days. Wish it had been longer! Thank you to you all. It was simply wonderful.

What a lovely place

This place is amazing, such a lovely setting. Very private and very chilled. There was 2 of us with 2 dogs. Plenty room for the dogs to play freely and securely. We walked to El Gastor along a good path, there is a Supermarket and a lovely little bakery. Zahara de la Sierra is a must visit. You can actually see the village from the house. If you love wildlife, take binoculars, so many eagles flying above your head as you sunbathe around the pool. So many highlights whilst we stayed here. Would highly recommend.

September holiday 2022

Thoroughly enjoyed the holiday. Villa was in a great location only 2 kilometres from El Gastor which had everything needed for a 3 week stay from a variety of supermarkets and specialist shops such as bakers, butchers and fruiterers together with a decent selection of restaurants offering good food at decent prices. The surrounding areas were worth exploring such as the Grazalema national park, Olvera and Setenil. Weather was high 70s for the most part with some spectacular thunderstorms thrown in for good measure which could be tracked from the villa because of the altitude (2000 metres above sea level). The owners parents were always on hand to both look after the cleaning and any issues arising together with some suggestions on where to visit for a good day out.

Absolutely wonderful!

Secluded and peaceful. Wonderful property and owners(Mateo, Eulalia and their son Julio)! Nothing is too much trouble and they are very understanding. If one doesn't speak Spanish - Julio always can help. The villa is very clean, nicely decorated and spacious. I was a little bit doubtful about ceiling fans (2 of the bedrooms) instead of AC, but I shouldn't be, they worked even better! No issues with internet either, bearing in mind that we have 2 young children constantly plugged to their pads, that is definite bonus. The gardens surrounding the house are stunning, full of flowers and fruit trees. You can relax easily next to very generous pool listening to the birds and bees :). The hosts are very attending and helpful. We absolutely loved our 3 weeks stay and will happily come back in the future!

Stunning Location

The villa is located on a hilltop with glorious views of the Sierra de Grazalema and the surrounding countryside. It has fabulous gardens with fruit trees and grape vines, which surround a large pool. Despite other properties in the area, the villa is completely secluded. Directions were easy to follow (don’t rely on Google, as it does not recognize the exit at the relevant junction). The owners were there to welcome us and show us round. The villa is well equipped and stocked with everything needed (including a welcome pack). Unlike some properties, there are plenty of essentials: bin bags; washing up liquid; loo paper; bath and pool towels, etc. There is effective A.C. All the windows have shutters and full mosquito screens, to keep the villa cool and, almost, mosquito free. There are large, shaded terraces for eating and relaxing. If you want sun, the pool area is bathed in it for 12 hours a day (in June). El Gastor is a 5 minute drive. Probably a 30 minute walk, with a challenging ascent on the return journey. There are plenty of bars/bistros. The Piscina (out the other side of town) and the Posada (on the main road) are both very good. The other nearby white mountain towns are all well worth visiting. We had a fantastic fortnight and would wholeheartedly recommend the villa to others.

Perfekter Urlaub in Traumhäuschen

Eines unserer saubersten Ferienhäuschen ever. Trotz sehr später Anreise wurden wir sehr freundlich von Mateo in Empfang genommen. Danke nochmals für den gefüllten Kühlschrank. Das Haus bietet alles was man für einen herrlichen Urlaub benötigt und noch mehr. Die Kommunikation mit Julio läuft hervorragend. Unser Toaster ging während des Frühstücks kaputt und 2 Stunden später brachte uns Mateo schon einen neuen. Die Region bietet so vieles und Mateo gibt hilfreiche Tipps. Die Lage ist ideal für Tagesausflüge zu den ´pueblos blancosˋ oder auch an den Atlantik, in die Bodegas von Sanlucar de Barrameda oder in den Nationalpark Doñana (ca 1,5-2Std Fahrt). Der Pool ist herrlich und groß und äußerst Willkommen nach einer Wanderung zum Dolmen del Gigante oder zum Tajillo. El Gastor eignet sich gut zum kleineren Einkauf oder auch für Tapas und ein Bier. Großeinkauf in Ronda. Sehr gut gegessen haben wir im Hotel Cortijo Salinas (ca 10 Min Fahrt). Zahlreiches und ordentliches Geschirr, Töpfe, Grill, Putzmittel usw vorhanden. Mehrere schöne Sitzmöglichkeiten um das Haus. Alle Fenster vergittert , plus Moskitonetze. Klimaanlage und Deckenventilatoren auch vorhanden. Ein großes Bett (180x200 cm) wäre die Krönung. Für große Menschen sind die vorhandenen Betten leider sehr klein. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder und genießen die faszinierenden Sonnenuntergänge auf der Terrasse. Danke nochmals Julio, Mateo und Eulalia für vacaciones maravillosas. Hasta la proxima.

Accueil très agréable. Matteo est très sympathique. Extérieurs et piscine au top. Équipements mobiliers et vaisselles et couverts assez usagés et dépareillés. Pas de lave-vaissellece qui est pénalisant. Ne convient tout au plus que pour 4 personnes.

Hidden Gem

Fantastic stay in this villa and verything we needed for a family relaxing break. Pool was beautiful and huge and very needed in the heatwave we arrived in. Owner couldn't be more helpful and answered any questions we had before and throughout the stay. Nearby Rhonda and Zahara are well worth a visit . We will hopefully come back again soon

Casita idílica en un remanso de paz

Una casita súper completa para pasar una estancia tranquila y agradable. Zona de piscina con hamacas, barbacoa, varias zonas donde comer fuera y el pueblo muy bonito, limpio y cuidado

Una experiencia para repetir

Estuvimos 4 noches, el lugar es súper tranquilo e ideal para descansar y desconectar. La zona donde está hubicada la casa es preciosa, con unas vistas espectaculares y unos atardeceres aún mejores. En cuando a la casa en si, está limpia y cuidada, es bonita y cuenta con un jardín precioso. Estå totalmente equipada y cuenta con todo lo necesario para la estancia. Es un lugar confortable, dónde se duerme bien y cuenta con numerosos especiaos donde comer. En cuanto al exterior, tiene una gran zona de jardín donde disfrutar de la gran piscina en cuanto a tamaño y cuidado. Nosotros fue la zona donde estuvimos la mayor parte del tiempo. Ha sido una gran experiencia y sin duda volveremos a repetir lo más pronto posible. Como añadido la casa se encuentra muy cerca de lugares dignos de visitar como son Ronda o Setenil de las Bodegas. Tanto Julio como Mateo fueron amables y respondieron a nuestras dudas con rapidez y simpatía.
