About Donna Neseyif
We love our holidays as this is when we manage to spend quality time together, having fun and building happy memories. It therefore seemed sensible for us to buy a holiday home as over the years we believe we have learnt what is needed for a great holiday. We have travelled the world, but love returning to the beautiful New Forest. We moved to Ashurst in 2000 and have enjoyed exploring the ancient woodlands, local villages and attractions with our 3 boys. We work in the New Forest and enjoy regularly walking and cycling around the Forest enclosures. Our sons have been brought up close to nature learning about the seasons while hiking through the Forest looking for fungi, climbing trees with friends, building dens and starting their own adventure with the great outdoors.
Donna Neseyif purchased this Cottage in 2011
Why Donna Neseyif chose Bramshaw
We bought The Foresters Lodge in 2011 after the whole family fell in love with the idyllic location and character cottage. Our intention is to use it as a holiday home and eventually to retire to this serene place that is so close to nature. The attraction to our boys aged 12, 10 and 8 at the time, was the adventure of the Forest, rope swings, streams and building dens! To Ramsey and Donna being at The Foresters Lodge really feels like you are away from it all, yet you are only a few minutes’ walk from the village shop. We didn’t think such a property existed in the busy South of England. We set about fully renovating and extending the property. Today the many character features have been retained yet the property is light and airy with luxury fittings and comforts throughout.
What makes this Cottage unique
We continue to enjoy weekends at The Foresters Lodge with family and friends. The games room is still the big attraction, especially to teenage friends and this summer saw us enjoying BBQs, with the boys and their friends staying up late into the night stargazing and listening to the sounds of the Forest night whilst toasting marshmallows. We find The Foresters Lodge simply a great place to unwind and spend quality time together. If you want the hubbub of the beaches and villages of the New Forest then they are on your doorstep, if not you have all you need for a great week away spending time together and getting close to nature at The Foresters Lodge. We hope you enjoy your time here as much as we do.

Idyllic Forest Retreat
Fabulous, fully-equipped Lodge in a tranquil location on the edge of the New Forest. You need only step outside your front (or back) door to experience all the wonders the forest has to offer. A truly beautiful setting where deer, ponies and other wildlife wander daily past your windows. The sun lounge is a joy as is the games room at the end of the garden. We had a truly magical time with the family, creating fond memories all thanks to a very considerate host.
Amazing and fun family holiday
Well equipped property, ideally positioned, excellently presented. We will not hesitate to come again and Donna was so helpful and accommodating.
Close to many child friendly amenities.
Can highly recommend Forresters Lodge. Everything we needed for a family holiday. Peaceful location
Owner was friendly and helpful. Property well equipped. Easy reach to amenities. Highly recommended.
Perfect property for the whole family
Bramshaw had everything we needed for a weeks stay for our group 6 adults 2 children . The cottage , garden and games room had everything we needed in fact we didn’t eat out as the kitchen was fully equipped to a high standard and a bbq in the garden. We were able to walk from the cottage to 2 pubs which took around 20 mins the green green dragon and the bell we would recommend both.
The cake left for us by Donna was a lovely touch .Would highly recommend this property .
Great location right in the forest. Accommodation was comfortable for our week away. Games room perfect for children. Lovely walks in the forest, pub lunches and nearby beaches.
Comfortable, spacious, clean and well equipped, this cottage is even better than the pictures suggest. The games room is great for tweens/teens but there are also plenty of games/toys for younger children. Although you feel like you’re in the depths of the forest, it’s easy to reach all of the New Forest’s attractions and the coast. Good pubs nearby and lovely walks in the forest. Amazing to see a herd of deer passing the cottage as well as plenty of ponies, cows and donkeys. Lovely to have the wood burner on the colder evenings and the cake on arrival was much appreciated. A great way of reminding your kids how much fun they can have without electronic devices, we wish we’d booked for longer.
