Villa in Loutraki, Skopelos, Sporades,Greece - Quiet, Beaches, Shops And Tavernas Within Walking Distance
- english, french, german, Dutch
We, my wife and myself, fell in love with the beautiful island of Skopelos where we bought this property to enjoy after retirement the spectacular views on the Aegean sea,the sun, the beautiful landscape. Since we have other social & family obligations we intend to use the villa more in spring and autumn. Since we are fortunate in having a very nice Greek family to look after the house and take care of guests we decided to rent it out during the summer. Look forward to your arrival. Kind regards, Hermanus
Owner purchased this Villa in 2014
Why Owner chose Sporades
I consider the panoramic view of the Aegean sea towards the mainland of Greece one of the best I have ever seen. It includes a view of the small port of Loutraki where in the evening small boats leave to fish off shore with the help of small lights. The daily sunsets are spectacular. Access to the property is easy since a car can be parked in front of the gate.
What makes this Villa unique
The villa is conveniently situated on a quiet spot between two villages that allow to go for diner in the evening on foot. One can make beautiful walks along paths that start behind the house and that run between olive trees and pine trees with beautiful views of the sea.

Delightful return to Skopelos
Absolutely loved staying in the wonderful villa. We returned after 2 years and loved everything about our stay. Thank you Hermanus, Christos and Despina!
From first booking to departing the service provided was exceptional. The villa and its location are fantastic and it’s one of the best places we have stayed in Greece. We would highly recommend anyone to stay if they are in need of peace and quiet & relaxation .
Lovely villa with beautiful views
The villa had everything that we needed, was very comfortable and extremely clean. The views over the Aegean towards Skiathos were stunning and serene.
The villa was in a very peaceful location, and although it looks down on the main road into Loutraki Port there were very few vehicles, so we weren't disturbed.
The nearby hill village of Glossa has some good places to eat, although limited, but that was part of it's old village charm. Glossa has a well stocked supermarket, bakery and butchers.
We hired a car during our stay which was convenient to explore the island, so cannot comment on local transport.
We had a very relaxing ten days at this villa and would not hesitate to return.
Wonderful Wonderful Week! ευχαριστώ Hermanus!
So first time to Greece, and fell completely in love with Skopelos! The Villa was perfect for my teenage daughter and I, all modern amenities, lovely accommodation, awesome views and we were looked after beautifully by Christos and Despina from the time Christos picked us up from the Ferry, until when we left. The location is good, you can walk down to Port Loutraki, but you absolutely need a hire car to explore the rest of the Island. The car park is a little steep, but manageable! Wonderful restaurants in both the Port and in Glossa, which is a bit of a hidden gem! We explored the beaches all over the island, and booked a wonderful boat trip one day out of Skopelos which is a gorgeous little town in itself. Yes the Mama Mia sites were brilliant too, but it was the friendliness of the people everywhere and the magic of this little island that have left us wanting more. Totally recommend both the villa and the location.
The villa was everything we hoped for. The photos did not do the villa justice.
It was a lovely place to stay, with spectacular views. We enjoyed walking up the hill to Glossa for fresh bread in the mornings.
The villa was spotlessly clean. The fittings were first class. The ensuite bathroom was stylish and contemporary. The pool was a delight to relax in and around.
The villa was well thought out with various places to sit and eat whilst being sheltered from the sun.
Christos, who looks after the villa, was charming and helpful whilst unobtrusive.
The best villa we have stayed in the Med.
Stunning views from this great villa
Fabulous two weeks at this villa in August. Great location, just between Loutraki and Glossa. We had a car, which I'd recommend, but you can walk to the local villages (steep slopes though) and there is a bus stop at the end of the driveway. Stunning views over the Aegean to Skiathos, with amazing sunsets each night from the balconies.
Bedrooms had good air conditioning, great showers, comfortable beds with plenty of storage. The housekeeping service was very efficientand discrete, but also very friendly and helpful in times of need.
Lovely pool which was regularly cleaned, plenty of chairs and sun loungers, and lots of areas of shade for the hotter parts of the day.
Very well equipped with everything we needed, nice to have quality appliances etc..
We loved being at the top of the island (away from the main Skoplelos town), it felt "Greek" rather than touristy. It was a grea location to to be able to get to lots of different beaches etc..Everyone very friendly, with lovely restaurants, a bakery and supermarket a few minutes away in the car. Choice of restaurants more limited than had we been in Skopelos Town, but not a problem at all.
The island is beautifully green, covered with pine trees. The nearest beach is in Loutraki a gentle 15 minute walk from the villa. There are numerous beaches and private coves around the island which offer lovely clean warm sea for swimming and snorkelling, suitable for picnics and sun bathing. Many of which have Bars & Tavernas. For a quieter day visit one of the small beaches on the North side of the Island which are rugged and beautiful.
The nearest airport is at the Island of Skiathos which is a 25 minutes ferry ride across to Loutraki port. From May through September many Charter flights including Thomson first Choice, Monarch, Thomas Cook. Flights through Athens to Skiathos or from Athens by bus to Volos where you can catch a ferry to Skopelos which takes 2 or 3 hours depending on vessel type. From April through September Ryanair from Brussels south to Volos.
The nearest village is the port of Loutraki 1 Kilometre distance which has a supermarket, bakers, rental cars, Taxi's, Ferries, Tavernas, an various Coffee shops and bars. The village of Glossa is 1.5 Kilometres from the villa, which has also supermarkets, Bakers, Tavernas, and Coffee shops. There is also a Pharmacy and Doctors Surgery. The main town of Skopelos is approx. 45 minutes by car.
Please note that you will be met at the ferry on arrival and taken to the villa where everything will be explained. There will be a welcome pack wine, milk, coffee and water, etc., and any questions you may have will be answered.
