Wonderful Stay
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hen House. The location is peaceful, and very relaxing. The accommodation is exactly as described and shown in the photos, but actually much bigger than expected. The kitchen is well equipped. While the weather wasn't great when we were there, it was very cozy sitting in front of the wood stove and listening to the rain on the skylights. There was a good stock of wood available, and we needed it! We did have some sun a few mornings, and our favorite memory is sitting eating breakfast with the morning sun streaming in through the windows. Nicki and Johnnie are wonderful hosts, introducing themselves and showing us where everything is, then pretty much leaving us to enjoy the space, which is well away from their beautiful home. The freshly laid eggs were delicious, as were Johnnie's sourdough and flap jacks. The location is very central, with an easy drive to the Malverns, Wye Valley, and Cotswolds, but you might find yourself just staying put and enjoying this beautiful place. Highly recommended! Thank you Nicki and Johnnie!!

Amazing Transformation!
A beautifully converted, light and spacious henhouse, equipped with everything one could possibly need, and more - the very welcome extra touches of fresh eggs, fresh-baked sourdough bread, flapjack and fresh flowers throughout. Johnnie and Nicki are outstandingly welcoming hosts; the place is quiet and peaceful - ideal for getting over jet lag; and the perfect location on a trip from Montana to visit friends in Gloucestershire, Herefordshire and Worcestershire. Thank you both!

Lovely property
Really nice living room kitchen and bedroom, the bathroom could probably do with some updating. The owners were extremely welcoming and Johnnie does absolutely fantastic sourdough which is such a lovely treat. There was also milk, (delicious) flapjacks, eggs from their chickens and some homemade jam! All of those things always make an extra special holiday. Their spaniel Sid was absolutely adorable as well. The garden was beautiful to walk in with a really fun addition of a swing. Would recommend to anyone who wanted to stay in the area

Married, and both my husband and I work from home. The Hen House is in the grounds of our property.
.
Having bought a house that needed modernising, and wanting to live on site, my husband was adament he could convert this former, uninspiring chicken shed into somewhere to live.

We loved living in the hen house and everyone was amazed at how light and spacious it was, so we decided to rent it out for others to enjoy.

We have enjoyed meeting people from all walks of life; artists, actors and musicians have all enjoyed the space, as well as walkers and those looking for a comfortable, peaceful retreat where they can lock the door and get away from it all.

What makes this property unique

Whether you are looking for a romantic bolt hole, somewhere quiet to work or study, or as a base for exploring the local area the Hen House offers spacious, light and airy contemporary accommodation in a peaceful, rural environment.
