Holly Cottage Makes A Wonderful Base To Explore The Surrounding Cotswolds
Located in the idyllic village of Childswickham on on the edge of the Stunning Cotswold Village of Broadway , Holly Cottage is set in walker’s paradise , or if you just want to visit all the stunning villages near by, the area offers such a variety of experiences for all ages. In our Quiet village location as a great base to explore from, With our fantastic village pub just around the corner, enjoy a taste of village life!
We offer short breaks in low seasons , please contact me direct for prices.

Ideal for exploring the Cotswolds

We really enjoyed our stay in Holly cottage, which was spotlessly clean and really nicely furnished. Jane was very friendly, easy to contact and quick to reply. She also suggested a number of local places to visit and good places to eat. A great weeks break thank you.

A quiet stay in the Cotswolds

The property was selected due to the proximity to my son and daughter in law, who live in the same village. We are familiar with the immediate area. The property was a good base for us, providing some home comforts during any downtime. The property is compact but suitable for our needs and the ability to bring our small dog enhanced our stay.

Wonderful Cottage in the Cotswolds

Holly Cottage was just as described. Great quiet place to stay while exploring all the area has to offer. Bed was comfortable. Kitchen has everything you could need. Jane left banana bread on the table plus milk in the refrigerator for tea and coffee. Very thoughtful. Has a great outdoor space to sit and we were lucky that the weather allowed us to take advantage of that. Couldn’t be happier and if in the area would definitely go back. Great experience!

Lovely Cotswold Escape

We spent 4 weeks with Jane. She was always helpful and available. Lovely family. She was very good at sharing her knowledge of the area and where to go to see attractions around. It was a lovely area and ideal distance to the local restaurant/pub with good food. Local community were very friendly and it was a great area for walking the dog and meeting like minded dog owners. The added bonus of fresh eggs to buy and fresh veggies and fruit in the village with a honesty box. Telephone box converted to a book swap. A beautiful part of the country to spend 4 weeks in.

Just right for the two of us, gave us all we needed. Sofa bed used. as a sofa only was slightly uncomfortable for my short legs so a couple of larger cushions would have been useful

Everything we needed in a perfect location

Holly cottage was perfect for our few days in the Cotswolds. You have everything you need in the cottage which is tastefully decorated and homely. A little vase of flowers, milk in the fridge and cake on arrival. It is the perfect destination for exploring the Cotswolds. We would love to return.

We had a lovely week, walking directly from the cottage and also visiting local National Trust properties. Great pub in the village and easy walk to Broadway for provisions.

Just what we wanted.

Probably the best cottage we have stayed in. Everything worked. We could walk out of the cottage onto public footpaths just down the road into deep countryside. Bliss. There were many NT properties in the area which as members we could visit without booking. A good find.

Lovely cottage for a long weekend

The cottage was very clean and had everything we needed for a long weekend. The owner sent us a list of recommendations for places to eat, and we had a delicious meal at the Childswickham Inn round the corner. The cottage is a half hour walk from Broadway and a great base for day trips to Snowshill, Hidcote Gardens and the Cotswold Wildlife Park.

Perfect Cotswolds bolt hole

This property is compact but perfectly adequate and well enough equipped to make the perfect base for exploring this lovely area. The welcoming banana cake was a nice touch, and Jane offered some good suggestions for areas and attractions to explore. We will be back!

Very relaxed peaceful place to stay

The cottage is set in a beautiful part of the Cotswolds. We were greeted with a yummy slice of home made cake which was a lovely touch for our arrival. The cottage was clean, well maintained and a lovely spot to stay and venture to the beautiful surrounding villages. Fab places recommended to eat too! The cottage is very secluded for privacy and my partner was so happy to find out their is very good outdoor running to be had around the quiet countryside. Would recommend staying here without hesitation. Thank you Jane for having us.

Lovely

We had a lovely time at Holly Cottage - it was clear that Jane and Pete have taken the COVID guideliness seriously, the cottage was clean and we had clear instructions about how to make our stay safe for us and for them. We didn't have any problems at all. The location was great - surrounded by nature, a short drive from Broadway and a 2 min walk away from the local pub - fully recommend if you want to explore Cotswold,

Compact, nice quality cottage stay

Jane provided accurate and helpful information for our first visit to the cotswolds. The cottage has everything for a comfortable stay although as the listing demonstrates it is very compact. There is a lovely little outside space if weather permits. Also perfect if you bring along a dog. The village has a pub which is dog friendly and lovely for a meal. You can walk to Broadway in 30-40 mins which is a beautiful village with a wealth of coffee stops and eateries.

Quiet,cosy getaway

We spent two nights in this cosy cottage. Lovely Jane emailed detailed directions and instructions for access to the property. We were greeted with some delicious cake which was a lovely welcome. The property had everything we needed for our stay, a well equipped kitchen, very comfortable double bed and a single mattress for our little one. A very quiet area within easy reach of the shops in the Broadway and lovely cafes. We wanted to say bye personally and hand the keys over but missed the opportunity as noone was home. Thank you for your warm hospitality We would visit again (in better weather)

Holly Cottage is superbly located to explore such a large area , with Stratford-Upon-Avon a 30 min drive , Woodstock 45 mins away, The beautiful Malverns . it combines a quiet village location as we have no passing traffic with our fantastic Bistro/pub a 5 min walk away. ( so no driving ) in the evenings ! Broadway is Stunning you can just sit and watch the world go by in one of our Tea shops / or one of the 3 public houses, sophisticated shopping for all ages and tastes. Or just spend your days taking in great walking our amazing countryside .
