Foxglove boasts a brilliant roof terrace where guests can sit out and admire the simply stunning views over the sea.

Set on the coastal road, just 600 yards above sheltered Maidencombe Beach and the village’s pretty thatched inn, these six very comfortably furnished holiday properties all have separate entrances and enjoy the use of an acre of attractively landscaped gardens with extensive sea views (except 28865). They are ideally situated for the coastal path, yet still enjoy a peaceful and tranquil setting for abundant local wildlife. Bluebell (ref 28864, set on the first floor) and Foxglove (ref 28867, on the second floor with a roof terrace giving spectacular sea views) are situated in a purpose-built extension to the owner’s Victorian residence, whilst Poppy (ref 28865, a first floor apartment) is part of the original house. Lavender (ref 28868, set on the first floor above the owner’s accommodation) is accessed through the main reception, and Laurel (ref 28863) and Chestnut (ref 28866) are comfortable two-storey properties, and all the properties accept pets, apart from Lavender (ref 28868). The ‘English Riviera’ is famous for its mild climate and is ideal for year-round breaks. Torquay, with its many amenities is only 4 miles away. These are the perfect properties for family get-togethers, friends’ reunions and celebrations. There are 22 miles of coastline, cliffs, coves, beaches and walks with opportunities for surfing, swimming, diving, sailing and angling. Torquay is an ideal base from which to visit Dartmouth, Totnes, Exeter and Plymouth. It is a place in which to relax, soak up the atmosphere and enjoy a holiday in a classic English seaside resort. Torquay town centre and Living Coasts are about 5 minutes away. Oddicombe Beach is also close by, and discover the shopping area of St Marychurch, a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle of the harbour area. Oddicombe Beach can be reached by foot down a very steep, wooded lane, or choose a more gentle ascent on the historic Babbacombe Cliff Railway. One of only a few original working funicular railways, the Babbacombe Cliff Railway has been transporting visitors up and down the 240 foot cliff-face since 1926. A short stroll from Oddicombe Beach leads to Babbacombe Beach and a pub. Nearby, visit the Babbacombe Model Village. Exeter and Plymouth are within an easy drive. There are many National Trust properties, including Agatha Christie’s summer house in Galmpton. Golf and walking locally. Shops 2 miles, pub and restaurant 600 yards.

Lovely getaway
First time staying in a holiday apartment but was very pleasantly surprised by this little gem. Was a great location to Torquay and on a good route for access to other little towns and villages accessible by car, not sure how easy the public transport would be to get about as we didn’t use. The adjacent Steep Hill is aptly named and imagine some would struggle walking down and back to the beautiful Thatched Tavern and beach. Gave us an ideal base for a lovely little break and would definitely return. Had a little difficulty finding it initially and apparently should have received an email beforehand with better directions but didn’t get this. Other than that no hiccups and would certainly recommend.

Amazing Location, but .......
Wonderful location, but the impression on arrival was that the property looks tired and in need of some renovation. The flat itself was nicely laid out, with wonderful sea views, but again, needs investment to bring it up to standard for the prices paid. Cleanliness was good but would have benefited from hand gel being left inside in this Covid era. No towel in the kitchen, not even disposable kitchen towel. No oven glove. No clocks anywhere in the flat. TV on the small side. Although the flat was reasonably smart, we would have expected it to be better appointed for the price paid. There were a number of Velux windows, most with 'shot' double glazing, which isn't a good look. The blind on the Velux window in the main bedroom is mouldy. The owner didn't contact us with essential information until I prompted her the night before we arrived, when she did then send through some useful information. In summary, there were mostly good, but some bad points about our stay. We did enjoy our stay, but probably wouldn't want to return at these prices.

Great coastal location
Visiting Devon for a wedding we managed to book the 'Laurel' apartment with Sally. Her communication prior to our arrival regarding our booking was excellent as was our accommodation. All the facilities required for a two night stay were available and the location really handy for Teignmouth & surrounding area. Given the location, it's views of the sea & the relaxed environment it was a shame we couldn't stay any longer than a couple of nights, but maybe next time.

Spacious apartment.
Bluebell is a light and airy apartment handy for a short stay near the South Wese Coast path. Lovely shared terrace and gardens overlooking the sea. A short walk down the aptly named Steep Hill takes you to Maidencombe beach and an super little cafe.
