Great location

While the property is a little dated, the unit is mostly updated and the location is walking distance to everything in Cherry Grove Beach. The view is great, the pool is nice, and the beach was never too crowded. If they replaced the carpets and some of the dated furniture it would be a perfect condo.

An overall good experience

Unit had ample space for our group of 8. There was a lot of kitchen ware so running dishwasher daily was not needed. Loved the convenience to Murphy’s.

Great ocean view

Very nice condo with comfortable beds and beautiful view of ocean. Well equipped kitchen. The only downfalls were the kitchen and bath rugs were soaked ,the elevators were out of order (I am handicapped) and couldn't sleep in due to drilling above our condo. No fault of the owner and all in all a very nice place. Lots of e tertainment with parasailing, jet skis, and banana boats. Walking distance to restaraunts and the beach access was easy

We are pleased that you liked the condo and the view but are very sorry for the wet mats?? Had you let us know we could have remedied that issue but remain uncertain on our end how they got wet in the first place. regardless we are sorry for the wet mats. As far as the drilling we are uncertain to where that was coming from... The hoa typically notifies us if it is a building issue projects but was not in this case... so not sure if it was an owner in a unit above... just not sure but very sorry for this as well.

Would rent thru them again, just probably not this unit. Overall a wonderful vacation experience.

Family vacation

My husband, myself, and our 3 kids loved this rental! This was our 1st year renting through this company and it was a major improvement from the company we had used the past decade or so. The unit was very clean and the beds made for us. We had plenty of towels, wash cloths, dish towels. The kitchen was sufficiently stocked with everything we needed to cook meals. We also really liked the building! They had luggage carts and shopping carts to help with loading and unloading. You had to have a code to enter the building and also to get into the pool area from the beach. Parking was across the street but we never had any issues getting across. There are handicap spots and loading/unloading directly in front of the building. Check in and out was easy and the customer service was great! We will definitely stay here in the future!

Stayed at Unit 402 for 4 nights/5 days and was very disappointed. Have stayed at multiple condo complexes up and down the coast from Pawleys to Cherry Grove and never had one so in need of attention. Microwave door handle was ripped off, 1970s era stove was broken, rusty patio furniture, rusty bathroom fixtures, stained furniture in main room, holes in the wall from ripped off paintings, dust covered outlets, and a broken main trashcan. Not to mention only leaving one bar of soap and 2 rolls of Toilet paper for a family of four for 4 nights. And no extra trashbags. A combination of a few of the above things i can ignore. For example, its waterfront....i know things rust with sea water. But taken all together, it was just too much and shows a general lack of maintenance to the unit. And given the premium price, it earned this 1 star review. Waited to leave this review, hoping i would hear from Carolina Resort Realty. I complained about things on the day we checked in and on the day we checked out, and nothing. No effort at all in customer service or followup to see what could be done to improve things.

Nice Stay

The condo was nice and clean. It does need a refresh as far as the paint and to clean the carpets. Not a big deal just some dirt spots on the walls. Do pack all things like trash bags, soap (even hand soap for bathrooms, -there wasn't any when we stayed). The listing does say to bring soap, just thought there might be a bar in the bathrooms. The kitchen is stocked well with silverware, plates, glasses, toaster, toaster oven, and regular coffee pot. Other condos we've stayed at had a welcoming packet with a few extra supplies which is a nice touch and local restaurants to try, this one didn't have a packet. We didn't have any maintenance issues. There are a few parking spaces at the condo, but the majority of the parking is across the street, which I didn't see mentioned on the listing. It's fine except arrival day, but they do have carts in the side of lobby that you can get. The view was great from balcony. Nice to enjoy coffee and look directly at the beach/ocean. This unit is right beside Snooky's restaurant so it was nice to walk to lunch! The shrimp poboy is great there! Also right beside Snooky's is Murphy's Bar and Grill. They have live music every night and you can't help but hear it. They do stop it around 11. The pool and access to beach is well maintained every day. There is a code to get into the Towers and the boardwalk from the beach to the condo, so that is a good added security.

These are supposed to be included with the linens that we set up in the condo. which includes hand soap, trash bags, paper towels, dishwashing soap, small shampoo and toilet paper. We are very happy that you enjoyed your stay and will certainly share this with the homeowner. If you check in through the lobby during office hours we also include a magazine about North Myrtle, including dining choices and coupons and more. Thanks again!

Great Location with some issues

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great location, unit was clean, the master bed was so soft and wonderful that I am purchasing a pillow-top topper for my bed at home! On the NEGATIVE side: There were TONS of gnats in the unit, probably due to "no garbage disposal". It was very annoying to have to wave your hand over the food every time you ate. Both toilets backed up at different times which was not due to anything we did. We were able to handle it but could not trust that the toilets would stop running on their own so we had to make sure they stopped running before we left the condo each time. There was a hot water issue. We were not aware that the switches were turned off in the electrical box. We called the realty several times on Sunday with no response. We finally got ahold of them on Monday and they had the cleaning person call us but it took two calls to the realty to get her to call us. There was still no hot water after we flipped the switches in the electrical box and then we were told to turn a valve on top of the actual hot water heater! There should be "BOLD" notations about the hot water issue plastered on the refrigerator!

Great views and location, falls short on many basics

This condo is in a great location. Views are great. Parking that is provided is easy. Common areas are well kept up and were cleaned daily. The condo itself is a bit dated. Carpet in bedrooms needs to go. The bathrooms were ok but had some gross caulk in areas. The table on the balcony was totally rusted out and unusable. There’s are probably 3 dozen plastic glasses, mugs and coffee cups in the kitchen but it it came with no dish washing soap, one kitchen garbage bag, zero coffee filters, half a roll of toilet paper in each bathroom and no extras. Not even basics like salt and pepper and much more. I have never stayed in a VRBO without these basic things. Instead we had to go to the grocery store to buy dish soap, toilet paper, etc. That’s pretty unacceptable really. Also we arrived on a Sunday and had to pick up keys from a lockbox that was full of other keys and things for other people at other locations. Nothing was marked with our name or anything. I had to search through several packets to try and figure out which was ours. Then we drove to the place and was not given the code to get into any of the common doors. It wasn’t in any of my paperwork or in any email communication. We tired calling and didn’t get anywhere. We had to ask someone else coming out of the building after waiting outside in the heat for awhile with luggage. We also had the AC break one evening but the maintenance contact was great, he came within an hour that night and got it fixed and the place stayed nice and cool. Was it worth the cost of what we paid a night here? I don’t think so overall.

We initially booked out trip based on a completely different condo. We were notified that our reservation was changed however, we were not provided with pictures of the new condo until a few days prior to our trip. We would absolutely not have booked our trip based on the condo we stayed in. The cleanliness was below standard, there were issues with the appliances, and the rental company was not helpful nor were they polite.

Reviewer Comments: Having stayed in many locations up the SC coast, I've never stayed in a location as rundown as this one. Rusted outdoor chairs, broken microwave, broken oven, holes in walls where pictures had clearly been knocked down, rusted bathroom fixtures, dusty surfaces. Also only 2 rolls of TP for a family of 4 for 4 nights and 1 trashbag. Raised concerns to rental company at checkout. No followup, nothing done for the bad experience. Avoid. There are better places.

Nice condo

Overall we enjoyed our stay. The condo wasn't cleaned upon arrival at appropriate check in time which was frustrating but was corrected. Communication during check in process could have better did not explain codes for entry doors or ensure the cleanliness of the condo before our arrival.
