Fully Restored And Updated Craftsman Home With 3 Bedrooms And 2 Full Baths.
The owner, Bill, and his wife are retired from being self-employed retailers. They became interested in West Asheville after spending time here visiting relatives, including three children who live in the area. Bill enjoys remodeling homes and did most of the work himself to bring the Haywood House back to its former glory. Now, they look forward to spending more time here and sharing this beautiful home with others so they can enjoy the West Asheville community.

What makes this House unique
The Haywood House is unlike any other vacation rental in West Asheville. It is roomy and comfortable, the interior and exterior remain true to the Craftsman period, and most important, it is directly on Haywood Road, just steps from downtown West Asheville. You simply will not find another rental that accommodates as many people and is so conveniently located.

Accurate to listing, very comfortable house
We loved the bathrooms, plenty of space for 6 girls to get ready. Front porch swing was also a favorite. Lots of space, big kitchen and plenty of supplies. Great location.
We loved Haywood House and location was fantastic! We walked everywhere. Great restaurants, bars and coffee shops close by. The house had everything we needed. We'd rent again.
The house was spacious and very clean. It was in walking distance to so many eateries and pubs. Take note, because it’s centrally located, it is on a busy street so there is street noise throughout day and night. The kitchen was very well stocked with everything for cooking and then some. The bedrooms were great size with large beds. The pillows could do for an upgrade but that’s the only somewhat negative thing about this house. It was great! Will definitely be back!
Cozy and convenient !
This house was clean, had a fully equipped kitchen and was ready for guests. It is decorated in a comfortable manner and had plenty of room at the dining room table for friends who brought dinner over the first night we were there!
The location is close (walkable) to some great little breakfast and casual dinner places as well as a grocery store. Downtown Asheville is not far for everything else. The Grove Park Inn and Biltmore are also nearby. Parks are also nearby if you have an active toddler with you!
The only concern is what looks like future development of a small parcel of land right next door.
All in all, this was a great place to be while spending time with friends who live in Asheville.
Our stay at The Haywood house was perfect!
Over the Christmas holidays, we were visiting our son and his wife who live in West Asheville . There were six of us, four adults and two children. The 3 bedrooms, each with king beds were perfect. All three the mattresses were new and firm, The two very beautifully added were well appointed bathrooms were gorgeous. The totally restored kitchen was well stocked. Enough dishes and silverware for 12 or more. It was extremely cold when we were there and the heater kept us all cozy. The only concern we had was the location right on busy Haywood. We thought the traffic at night may be problematic. We came prepared, we brought three white noise machines. Problem solved. As some of the reviewers wrote when I was house searching, “ this house is very clean! “. Well I agree with this statement. Very clean and organized. If you are looking for a house in West Asheville, this house 🏡 is Perfect!
The home was very nice.
The house is very convenient to West Asheville. Everything is walking distance. There are more restaurants, bars and breweries you can visit in one week. The food was fantastic.
It is only a 3 mile drive or walk to the center of Asheville downtown. Less than that to the arts district. The location was excellent.
The house was very well kept and restored.
The front porch was great for sitting and people watching.
The bedrooms are right off the living spaces. With the beautiful yet creaky wood floors, you had to go outside to not wake those who were sleeping in.
The listing says it sleeps 8. Although it technically does, once the pull out is in use everyone had to retreat to their bedrooms or go outside since it is in the main living area. I recommend sleeping only 6.
It has no backyard. We were able to throw a frisbee in the next door lot but it looked like construction on a new building was starting up soon.
