Located on the idyllic Punta Pozuelo peninsula in Guayama, PR, this exceptional oceanfront family vacation compound provides a unique setting able to accommodate 8 guests, in three bedrooms with four bathrooms. Amenities include fully air conditioned interior space, lighted swimming pool (shared with our other property only), ocean swimming, full size lighted basketball court, TV and multiple spacious lounging areas. Walk to your yacht moored in the lagoon across the street and dock or hoist it at the full service marina about a mile down the road when you leave. With your own equipment, water sports such as kayaking, wind and kite surfing, snorkeling, water skiing and jet skiing are within walking distance. Water sports rental equipment is also available at the boat ramp across the street. Enjoy local delicacies at nearby restaurants. All of your favorite stores, a movie theater and a Chi Chi Rodriguez designed golf course are minutes away in Guayama. A major shopping plaza, movie theaters, auto racing, casino, night life, gourmet restaurants in Ponce provide a variety of activities to suit every taste.
The cultural, entertainment and dining attractions of San Juan are only an hour away. And if you just want to kick back and relax, just climb into your favorite lounge chair on the wrap around deck to watch the pelicans and manatees go by. Punta Pozeulo is surrounded by beautiful scenery where laid back friendly locals take it real slow.

Very nice spot to relax

We stayed a couple days, we walked the beach, sunbathed around the pool, ate at the local restaurants which had the best fresh lobster/sea food we have had in awhile and loved every minute, we would defenantly stay again.

AMAZING!

It was just perfect! Great communication with the owner and property care takers. The rooms were very nice & comfortable all with AC, bathroom and terrace were excellent. Breakfast, lunch & dinner with an amazing view. The Basketball court was a great Bonus. We will definitely be back and next time hopefully rent both houses.

Perfect Puerto Rico experience

We stayed here for a girls weekend, there was 6 of us and the house accommodated us perfectly. I'm sure your reading other comments and read about the bugs......its not just this house...the little bugs are everywhere you go. Just apart of paradise. I recommend putting all food in the fridge. That's what we did and there was no issue. The caretakers are amazing. Don't hesitate to contact them for anything . They are very friendly and love to help. We wanted to go on a last minute snorkel trip, since we waited til the last minute everything was booked. We messaged her and she immediately found someone to take us out and it was an amazing experience. We will definately be using this house again.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND

Although you can see from the listing the furniture is old and uncomfortable, the house still photographs well. However, looks can be deceiving. I got there in the evening, but when the sun came up, I was truly horrified at how filthy, dilapidated, worn out, unsafe this place really is. I emailed the owner and was met with attitude and a lot of pushback. The stove is broken, the sinks, broken glass door, broken or missing locks, wall switch hanging off wall, dirty walls, floors, toilets looked like no one had touched them, ever except to use them. (Pictures were provided to seller) Crunchy, uncomfortable mattresses, no blankets, cheap worn-out towels, everything is outdated, ants all over the kitchen. The side yard looks like a junkyard. They also provide no Wi-Fi because "it's expensive." Thankfully, and because of safety issues, my reservation was canceled, and I couldn't get out of there fast enough. We were there for a funeral, only chose this city/house to be close to family. Thankfully, we were able to find a great place that met all our needs.

WiFi on the island is very expensive and if I choose to provide it no one would be able to afford to stay at my place. You fabricated issues with the house even after you were fully compensated. It’s unfortunate that your expectations were not met. I empathize with the unfortunate situation that brought you to the island and that your actions and comments were fueled by emotion.

Great place, poor maintenance

Communication with owner was more than great, very thoughtful with our concerns about COVID19 issues. The property is very nice with great amenities for families. On the other side, the backyard was full of trash like cigarettes butts, ziplocks with old food and all kind of stuff, and I mean lots of trash. The house was dirty, food stains in the kitchen, windows where very dirty. We had to clean up in order to feel comfortable. We washed the bed sheets because we weren't sure that they did it. Comforters smelled like perfume. Property manager came and tried to clean the backyard, but she seem mad because of it. All the trash cans where full of the trash of the guests before us. We couldn’t use 2 baths at the same time because the water supply was limited. We still had a great time, we always do no matter what, but for the price we expected something different. Hope this review help to improve things because the place is magical for 3 or 4 families with kids if the people in charge focuses in the cleaning and maintenance.

Terrible place

After staying at this property I have come to the realization that almost everything about this posting is misleading and inaccurate. And the positive reviews severely confuse me to the point I seriously am concerned they are fake. This rental is way too overpriced for the crap we stayed in. It was unclean, old, broken down, and by far the worst rental I have ever rented. Cabinets were broken off the hinges and it was very unclean. I also realized that a lot of the pictures in the listing are from the rental next door they also rent out. The air conditioners didn’t even come close to cooling any of the rooms. The pool was nice, yes it is shared with the other rental. The view of the beach is ok. No you cannot use it at all, which we knew going into it, that’s ok. That part of the listing might be the only accurate thing. There is nothing nearby. The closest store is about 20 minutes away. Any restaurants or bars near close at 3pm each day and are only open on Friday Saturday and maybe Sunday. So what you bring with you is all you got. When the listing says stop and get groceries on your way, that’s not a lie. Hardly any of the items that are listed that are provided in the rental were there. The propane tank was empty when we tried using the grill and the response I got from the property manager was “you opened it.” After I had to argue with her and voice all of our complaints with the house and the lack of propane she showed up hours later with a different tank.

How dare you accuse me of posting fake reviews. You and your guests had every opportunity to point things out to my manager when she checked you in. There were no issues. Any damage must have come from you. You will not find ANY rental in the vicinity that you can sleep 8 people comfortably, right on the beach, with a pool and with a full laundry and kitchen for that price. There is a new air conditioner in every room, so it is impossible that the rooms weren't cooled. You seem to be the only one that hasn't found the location and views spectacular. Our description is accurate and very specific. You had unrealistic expectations if you thought the area was like San Juan and this was a white glove property. It is a beach house! You had a family member show up unannounced months ago, which is against policy, to check out the property and they should have told you that. There were no surprises. You had plenty of time to research the area fully and cancel your reservation if you wanted to. You cannot hold me responsible for the working hours of the business around the area. You were very rude and spoke to my manager in an unacceptable way. With regards to the propane tank, my manager lives an hour away and as soon as you said something about the BBQ she came over as fast as she could. And I was told the next day it worked fine. If you were so unhappy, you could have communicated directly with me instead of utilizing the space and complaining afterwards.

Stunning place lacking a little care

Special place to spend with family and friends. Excellent location, relatively quiet. Wonderful views. The property requires a little attention, to take care of the small details. The windows have no curtains, window operators and defective locks. In general the property required a deep cleaning and fumigation against insects, since we found cockroaches and other insects inside the house. The pool filter engine was defective. We could not use the lighting of the basketball court, since it has not yet been repaired after the passage of Hurricane Maria. The green areas were pretty well maintained. Some AC, although they worked, were a bit old. In the kitchen limited lighting, damaged exhaust and defective washing machine.

Needs some TLC

First off, the owner and property manager were both great. They talked to us ahead of time and while we were there to try to make our stay as smooth as possible. Also, the beach is absolutely gorgeous. As noted, there's no swimming, but there is a tide pool full of marine life, you can get plenty wet standing at the edge of the reef, plenty of sand, sea shells, and palm trees. But, the property itself had quite a few issues. - the main door knob is broken, so the only way for the door to stay closed is to lock it. - the windows screw open for a breeze, which is awesome, but ~1/4 of them have the turning mechanism broken, so they won't open, and one wouldn't close. - the metal fan over the stove had an electrical issue: it was live. Touching it was shocking. - the towel racks were missing/broken in the bathrooms - some tiles outside were broken with jagged cement stocking up, which could not be walked on with bare feet - there were almost no curtains or blinds - the beds and pillows were either old or cheap because they were not particularly comfortable. Also, there were a couple things outside of the owner's control. The first is that it was loud. The restaurant next door was cleaning at about 7am every morning, so between that and the lack of curtains, sleeping in was difficult. At night, it was normal for cars driving by or neighboring houses to have loud music until relatively late. We didn't have kids with us, but if we did they would not have been likely to get to sleep at a reasonable time. (We did stay on a holiday weekend, so that may have been unusual.) Secondly, there were some kind of bugs that would bite. They weren't mosquitoes, but the bites were kinda similar. Didn't bother me much, but my wife is still scratching hers a week later as her skin highly reacts to bug bites. So, overall, we did enjoy ourselves. It worked, but it just wasn't as good of an experience as I had hoped.

Nice property with two houses that share a common pool and outdoor area

The property has two houses on it so if privacy is what you are looking for then this might not be your first choice. Without curtains on the windows there is a direct view into each of the houses. The balconies are spacious but since you can hold a conversation with the other renters when you're both out on the deck it isn't quiet or private. If you don't mind sharing a pool and outdoor space it would be great. There's a basketball court and access to the beach for walking but you need to drive to a beach in order to swim. The inside of the apartment was sparsely furnished, one two person couch and a chair in the living room, so if you are planning to hang out and watch tv this wouldn't be ideal. If you're planning to spend your time outside it's perfectly fine, there's plenty of outdoor furniture. The beds are pretty comfortable in spite of the plastic covering the mattresses. The windows are tricky to open and close but it's nice to be able to listen to the sound of the waves. There wasn't accurate communication about our arrival or stay so we ended up waiting longer than we wanted to get checked in. The woman in charge didn't know we were coming or how long we were staying. It's a very non-touristy area which is nice and the house is set back from the road so it is pretty quiet.

The location of the property made our stay enjoyable but the interiors not as much

Positives: Pool clean and well kept, location right on the beach, open concept architect. Negatives: lack of amenities like clean and nice sheets, Towels look like rags, Small and creepy bathrooms, low water pressure in bathrooms, No curtains or blinds on the huge doors and windows of the house. Caretaker responds to requests but does not fix things necessarily like we had one room's light not working, she asked us to use another room's lamp but did not fix the fused bulbs. The interiors were for the most part clean but we still had ants and cockroaches. Property needs serious upgrades on amenities and bathrooms.

Delayed review

My review of this property is rather delayed at 6 months but here I am. I always hate to say anything negative that may tarnish the reputation of a property so I give it careful consideration before I make any comment. Overall the property was wonderful with everything we could possibly need. We did feel, however, that more attention needs to be given to the cleanliness of the property prior to each new rental coming in. Upon our arrival the house was not in the cleanest condition and we spent a lot of time getting it to where it should have been for us. Not exactly what you want to do after a long flight. Food from the previous tenant was being removed from the fridge by the caretaker as she spoke to us about the house. Several issues with the house itself also. AC could not be used I. The bedroom facing the pool. It was leaking and causing mold to grow on the floor. Oven did not work at all. Ants crawling everywhere in the kitchen, which may just be a common island issue, I don't know. There were several bad storms during our stay which caused debris in the pool. My husband left a message for the caretaker. No response. He even said just show him how to get to the pool supplies and he would do it himself. He eventually came two days later. We were charged a cleaning fee in the total that we paid and I found that very unfair considering the condition. I sent the owner a letter to which I received no response. My security deposit was returned promptly and I did appreciate that. It just kind of seemed like even though the travel plans were booked in advance, they weren't prepared for our arrival. When we were on our way home and at the airport the owner called us and asked why we hadn't called her. This very much confused us. Called her when? Before departure ? We gave the keys to her husband who was taking care of the lawn as we were leaving. They were a very nice couple I must say. We had no issues with safety or issues of any other kind while on the island. The trip as I said overall was wonderful but I find it only fair to mention these other issues. I see that no one else giving reviews had similar experiences so hopefully this was a one time fluke and they weren't prepared for us.

A beutyfull house and a beutyfull area

First and formal bob the owner of the house was very helpful wit all my question before the stay and the people the he have in charge of the house her name is felicita she was very helpful went we got to the property and her husband too...about the property I can say I was beyond my expectations everything very clean and everything in the house work from the a/c units all the way to all the accessories in the kitchen ...the pool was very clean and the access to the beach right by the pool ...all I can say is the I recommend this property 100 percent ....thank you bob ....hope for next summer I'm able to stay in your property again ....thanks att SoSas family
