We call it 'OBO (Ocean Breeze Oasis)' because of the refreshing sea breezes it offers all year round.

The Ocean Breeze Oasis is a large, ground level, ocean front property featuring absolutely fabulous 180* views from its front living and dining room windows.

And, since the shared patio is right on the South Mission Beach Boardwalk, it is an easy walk directly through the sandy beach right down to the ocean waves.

Look at our pictures and imagine yourself relaxing with a beer or glass of wine on our large oceanfront patio ....... maybe experiencing a GREEN FLASH at sunset ...

Without leaving home, you can be sitting right here ..... people watching on the Boardwalk or gazing at the rolling waves of the ocean ...

By about 5:00, the day-tourists begin to leave and, soon, the ENTIRE beach belongs to YOU ......

As locals, sitting on the oceanfront patio in the evening or walking along the deserted shore by moonshine are the BEST and most unique aspects of staying at the beach ....

Inside the Ocean Breeze Oasis, the tastefully decorated, spacious living and dining rooms provide a wonderfully relaxing and comfortable setting for a most enjoyable and memorable vacation on the ocean.

Original white oak hardwood floors and vaulted wood-beam ceilings add to the rustic charm of this 1400-square-foot unit.

Encompassing most of the north wall in the living room is a HUGE, Used Brick (working) Fireplace.

A built-in Bookcase filled with beautiful coffee table books, finishes that side of the room. The cabinets beneath contain numerous games, puzzles, paperback books, playing cards, and other fun activities.

In the roomy Master Bedroom, you will find a Country French décor with vaulted wood beam ceilings, a California King Bed, a wall mounted Smart TV, Quimper Wall Planters, a vintage glass topped, built-in Vanity and two large closets.

The second bedroom features two antique, hand-painted twin beds and several of Suzanne Nicoll’s unique artwork designs are on the walls.

The beautifully tiled second bathroom is found in the third bedroom which contains a Trundle Bed decorated with a Black & White French Damask comforter with pillows. In this bedroom are also a small desk and bookcase, along with a built-in dresser.

Vintage abalone sea horses adorn the walls of this second bathroom.

All the bedrooms are furnished with either Italian linens or 100% Cotton, high thread count sheets. Cozy down comforters, duvets and pillows are sure to offer you all the comforts of home … or BETTER!!

No need to bring beach towels for your stay at the OBO!

Huge, soft 100% cotton beach and bath towels ~ embroidered with OCEAN BREEZE OASIS ~ are stored in the Linen Closet for your use.

Our Laundry room, fully stocked with laundry soap, is located very conveniently INSIDE the house.

Although small, the Galley Kitchen is equipped with EVERYTHING you might need to enjoy meals prepared at home ……….. of course, that includes a gas barbecue outside.

We want you to be comfortable and have fun during your stay at the OBO!

Fabulous Location

This beach home has character with a massive brick fireplace. The open-concept kitchen allowed all of us to eat as a family and play games. The patio with umbrellas provided gorgeous views of the ocean. The entire home was spotless and the kitchen is stocked with everything you need to cook many meals. We would easily stay at this rental in the future.

2 Week Winter Getaway.

This is our second time visiting Mission Beach and we absolutely ADORE this property and its location. The house is laid out perfectly for 2 to 3 couples, and contains everything you need to be comfortable. The solid wall of glass on the ocean side gives you an eye-popping view of the beach, sunsets, and the great people watching along the strand walk. The place was meticulously clean and Jim was such an attentive host. We will be back next year!

Perfect family vacation!

We stayed for 4 nights with our family of 4 children (ages 6-13) and everything was just wonderful! The home was as described, cozy and well-maintained. The absolute best part was the location - far enough south of Belmont that the beach right outside the door was peaceful and quiet, but an easy walk into activity if we wanted it! The layout was perfect for our family and everyone slept great. We had crazy winds and rains one night and couldn't hear a thing in the house, it was incredible. The kitchen was tiny but had everything we needed. The kids absolutely loved all the game options and I loved seeing the moon over the ocean every night and watching the surfers in the morning with a cup of coffee Thanks for a great family vacation!

Great retreat on the beach!

A well-loved house right on the beach. We appreciated the proximity to Belmont Park, beach access, and ocean view from the large front room windows. It was just enough room for our family of six (five adults and a two-year old). Please do take note of the size of the garage in the property description and maximum vehicle size that will fit. We rented a Toyota Highlander that fit just right, but a vehicle any larger/longer will not fit.

Beach Front 40th Birthday Weekend

The location of this property cannot be beat. The view is breathtaking and the large patio was perfect for spending the day at the beach, but not on the sand. Walking distance to all the great bars and restaurants. My girlfriends are even planning to return with our kids. Jim was great and communicative. It had everything we needed for a 5 day stay. The shared garage is tight but works for a compact. Would be harder to get in and out with a truck.

Great Location

Rented the property for 4 days to spend time with my son/wife and our two grandchildren. Location was perfect. Everything we needed was there. We ate breakfast, lunch and dinner outside and never needed to go out to a restaurant. Everything was so casual. Sat outside every morning for the sunrise and every evening for the sunset. All the cooking supplies we needed were provided. We had 2 cars but there was free beach parking no more than 100 steps away and always found a spot without any problem. Great location for the kids as they loved playing in the sand. Owner stopped by to make sure everything was ok and I appreciated it.

OBO Beachfront South Mission Beach is not awesome

I will start out with the reason I do not recommend staying here. I will finish with what was positive about the rental. On our second night, we heard and felt jackhammers behind the house. My spouse went out to see what was happening and learned there was road demolition going on from 9:00 pm until 6:00 am and the water would be off. The crew confirmed that all owners were notified of this 9 hour, overnight major demolition project 2 weeks earlier. I called Jim immediately stating it was impossible to spend the night there as we would not actually sleep. He told me I was ridiculous and offered no solutions and no return of the money we paid to sleep in his house that night.. The construction noise and pounding included jackhammers, asphalt removal, earth diggers. water pipe removal and replacement, dirt replacers using scrapers, earth pounders and asphalt replacement. Not only was this happening 10 feet behind our rental, but up and down the alleyway in 3 other locations. The road was blocked the entire time so we couldn't leave to go to a hotel. It was truly a horrible experience. Jim could easily have contacted us as soon as he found out about this demolition project and offered to change our dates which we surely would have done. He will tell you that he left the city's note on the door in order to warn us, as though that was proper notice. I thought it was an ad. So we spent lots of hard earned dollars on a hellish sleepless night. We certainly did not get what we paid for. I would not stay again because of this deceptive practice and rude response. The house was at a great location with lovely views. It's too bad it was ruined for us with a high price tag attached.

When I was young, my family & friends used to vacation at Mission Beach, because we always enjoyed the beautiful setting & fabulous weather. Later, when my wife, Susan, and I were raising our two children, we too chose to have our family vacations at South Mission Beach - always staying on the ocean front.

Several years ago we were fortunate enough to purchase our own ocean front condo, Ocean Breeze Oasis, which we stay in occasionally but mostly offer as a rental.

We take great pride in maintaining and improving the property with personal touches, unlike a hotel. Our hope is that others will share the same type of wonderful experiences so that you too can enjoy staying at Ocean Breeze Oasis and create similar fond memories for your family.

Why they chose this property

South Mission Beach has the nicest beach – it is cleaner, has a wider beach with better sand, and offers a closer/friendlier community atmosphere. Also, in our opinion, the weather is the best in the U.S.

What makes this property unique

Our unit has a rustic charm because of the oak hardwood floors and the high wood- beamed ceiling which makes it very cozy and comfortable. Another gem is, because the condo has very large front windows and the floor is 3-4 feet above the ground and not on a slab, it offers an incredible view of the waves and beach from the large front windows – you can watch surfers, sail boats, ships, parasailers, various forms of sea life (dolphins, seals, etc.) and beautiful sunsets.

All of this helps create a relaxing beach experience that is hard to beat!
