Cosy wooden house in the heart of Andernos-les-Bains
Lovely wooden house built with tropical and exotic materials in the heart of Andernos-les-Bains, nestled in a 400m2 private garden hidden and surrounded in forestry surroundings. The chalet is closely situated to Arcachon Bay (800m) and a short drive (15mins) to the Atlantic Ocean. Close to endless bicycle routes
Downstairs
Enjoy the cosy 50's retro style living room that houses a full HDTV, DVD player, WIFI-broadband and original features from my wife's grandmother. The utility room has a washer/dryer.
Separate toilet.
A fully equipped open plan kitchen with a dishwasher, oven, ceramic hob, microwave, large fridge, Nespresso coffee machine, filter coffee maker, kettle and all amenities.
French doors opening up onto the patio with open plan views into our garden sufficiently shaded by numerous tall oak trees.
The house is very light inside and has more than enough windows and doors to keep it cool in the hot Summer and heated in Winter with a warm underfloor heating.
Gas barbecue next to the patio.
1'st Floor
With 3 bedrooms there is space for max 6 adults or a family with kids. A baby cot including high chair are available on request.

- 1 bedroom with a double bed (140x200)
- 1 bedroom with a single bed (80x200) that can turn into a Queen sized bed (160x200)

Our house is located in a quiet upmarket residential area. It stands out as it's surrounded by trees, and has a forestry feeling to it with woodpeckers that wake you up in the morning and squirrels jumping from branch to branch.
Guest access
The house has private secure parking for up to 3 cars. We would be delighted to share our favourite restaurants. The closest supermarket (Intermarche) is a 5 minute bicycle ride away, the baker is just around the corner.
Interaction with guests
During your stay we will always be available to answer your questions by phone/text or email. Our house manager lives in town, she will welcome you, check you out and is more than willing to help you out.

About the host
Your host
Married to a French/Italian beauty, so there is never a dull moment. We have two kids, and no3 is on its way. For our first holiday as a family, a couple of years back, we rented a house in Cap Ferret. We fell in love with the area and decided to buy our own holiday home.
Why they chose this property
Initially the cabane was meant for us, and then to rent it out now and again to pay towards its upkeep. During the entire (3) lockdowns we lived as a family of 4 in the cabane. Even though it is situated in a residential area, the forest around it creates such a unique experience, with the smell of the wood, the sounds of the tjirping birds, the sights of the squirrels jumping from branch to branch, the cosiness of rain drops falling on the roof. I miss it every day.
What makes this property unique
And thanks to the cabane my wife decided that life in Andernos is not that bad, it's actually quite relaxing. Life is good here, for a family in every day life, but especially for travellers like yourselves. So we built our own little piece heaven, down the road from the cabane and have settled down and kept our gemstone, possibly to retire in once the kids are grown up.
