Chalet Belmont couldn't be more convenient! This 2 bedroom vacation apartment is in the center of Wengen just off the high street near the supermarket, shops and just 170m from the train station. Located in the family-friendly “car-free” village of Wengen with the nursery ski slope right outside and just steps from the Maennlichen cable car, the mountains and ski areas are truly on your doorstep!



This top-floor apartment sleeps up to 6 people. It has 2 double bedrooms, each with a king-sized bed, and 1 double sofa bed on the mezzanine level. All beds are European sizes. There are 2 bathrooms, 1 with a bath, shower overhead and WC and 1 with a shower cubicle, plus a separate WC.



Belmont is a gorgeous penthouse apartment newly built to a high standard with a luxury feel and quality furnishings. Its modern open-concept living/dining and kitchen area is the perfect gathering place, making it easy to cook, eat, entertain and relax all in one space! Watch the world go by directly from the living room through the panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows or adjourn to the balcony with a glass of wine and some fine Swiss cheeses while you soak in the fabulous views and relax after a day of hiking or skiing!

What you should know...



Although Wengen is a "car-free" mountain village, arriving by car is no problem. There is a large multi-storey car park at Lauterbrunnen train station, with trolleys for your luggage and lifts to the station platforms. It is just a 14-minute scenic cog train ride up to Wengen. The trains depart every 30 minutes until 9.30 pm and then hourly. Taxis are available for hire at Wengen train station if required.

Ideal Base to Explore Jungfrau Region

Easy communication on all facets of booking. Apartment was as described and as depicted in pictures.Only annoyance was second shower & bathroom was on second floor. It would be helpful if there was instructions for the washing machine in English. Using an app to translate was still a little confusing.

Wengen, the place to be

The Chalet Belmont penthouse was fantastic. The apartment is very spacious, well equipped, clean and beautiful. Our family of three stayed for three nights during August. The apartment is right in the heart of Wengen and all the activities. Yet, when you close the doors and windows it’s quiet and calm. The village is somewhat lacking for quality food and coffee choices but you don’t come here for the culinary scene. We ended up having most of our meals in Lauterbrunnen. Speaking of Lauterbrunnen, be sure to try the pizza at the Hotel Spend at least one sunset sitting on a bench in front of Evangelisch reformierte Kirche, the church on Wengen’s north end. The alpenglow is stunningly beautiful.

Wonderful family apartment in Wengen.

This apartment is beautiful, so clean it seemed like it was brand new. Not even a single cob web in the window frames! Beautiful wood work throughout. Smell is fresh and wonderful. We are a family of four with a 6 and 8 year old, and it worked very well for a week-long home base in Wengen. One of the kugelbahn ball tracks was right outside, so our kids loved going by themselves to play, while we could see them from the balcony. I wondered if the Mannlichen cable car station would be noisy since it is right outside the balcony, but the cars themselves are very quiet and smooth. So clean! Nice to have a washing machine. Took a bit to figure out how to use it, and smaller loads that what we're used to in the U.S., but a fantastic amenity. Perhaps leaving the manual for the washing machine/dryer? For folks who are looking for absolute silence, know that when the windows/doors are open, you can hear happy tourists and families gathering outside the cable car station or playing kugelbahn. We kind of enjoyed that, and it was very quiet when doors/windows were closed. Just FYI. Also, you are looking directly at Mannlichen, so it is not a view of the Eiger/Monch/Jungfrau mountains, if that matters to you. Still a beautiful view of Mannlichen mountains and the village!

We loved the apartment. Everything was top notch and the convenient location was especially appreciated by my elderly parents. The weather was disappointing during our stay in the Jungfrau region (very overcast and rainy everyday), but having a such a roomy base with such nice amenities certainly made a big difference in making our stay more agreeable. Perhaps another European-Swiss power adapter available

Spectacular!

We could not have been more pleased with our stay at the Chalet Belmont Penthouse. It was absolutely beautiful, clean and equipped with every amenity imaginable to make our vacation easy and enjoyable. The location is unbeatable, with the tram being mere feet from the front door. And the ski rental stores are also within a minute walking distance away. The shed for ski storage was fabulous and the ease of check in and check out was wonderful, especially for tires travelers after an overnight flight. We cannot say enough great things about this rental!
