Pleasing country cottage
A gem for everyone seeking a quiet retreat from city bustle, Oakbank Farm Cottage is still merely 20 minutes outside Dumfries. Linda and Rab are delightful, friendly hosts, helpful in every instance. We will be pleased to stay with them again when the opportunity arises.

Mini break at Oakbank farm
We enjoyed our stay … the cottage is beautiful, absolutely spotless, home from home. Bed linen is clean and smells lovely- freshly laundered. Towels provided as well as complimentary tea, coffee and milk (we brought our own though), but all provided if needed. All necessary kitchen utensils are provided, pots and pans, cutlery, crockery, etc.. there’s absolutely nothing you need to bring on a stay at Oakbank farm except for your own personal clothing and toiletries. There’s Wi-Fi and tv available too. Loads of places to eat in the area - the welcome pack provides you with a number of contacts. We’d definitely stay again. Thank you.

Property as described, we've stayed before and it was still nice. We came up for Youthbeatz and the host was great and let us check-in early. Thanks for a lovely stay

Fantastic property
The cottage was perfect for a short getaway for my family. All the rooms were big and very clean and we had everything we needed for a fantastic stay. Linda was a great host and was always around for any questions we had. I can 100% recommend this property for people who want to see the real Scotland.

My husband a d i have lived in this area all our lives, we brought up our 4 children on the small holding beside the cottage.

Why they chose this property

This property was in my husbands family for many years, but sadly after his father died it was sold in 1980. We managed to by the property back in 1991 and after a few alterations made it into a beautiful family home where we chose to bring up our 4 children.

What makes this property unique

We have all the benefits of country living but are only 15 minutes to the nearest town, 15 minutes to the main A74 to Glasgow and 15 minutes to the nearest train station, our local shop is only a 10 minute walk away.
