Villa Alexandra is in a quiet setting on the hillside with stunning views overlooking Kalkan Bay and the Islands as well as Mountain views to the rear of the villa. It takes just a 15 minute stroll to the village and the cobbled streets of Kalkan with its wonderful shops and bars. The harbor is sublime and the pebbled beach has the most amazing crystal clear water. Kalkan has an excellent reputation as having some of the best restaurants in Turkey and are of the highest quality for that fine dining experience. There are many beach clubs in Kalkan some of which are reached by free water taxi from the harbor. Many beach clubs offer various water sports.

Kaputas beach is a simply stunning with its beautiful azure blue waters and fine sand is a 10 minute drive. At 11 miles, unspoilt Patara is Turkey’s longest beach. Even more important, Patara has escaped the development that mars many lesser beaches around the Mediterranean thanks to the ruins of the once mighty ancient city from which the beach gets its name, and the resident Loggerhead turtles, a protected species which has been laying its eggs is a 20 minute drive.

The historic town of Kalkan is an enchanting place. With the absence of mass tourism, Kalkan remains a charming and unspoiled haven of historic architecture, ancient history and warm traditional Turkish hospitality. Once a fishing village, it is now a charming holiday resort consisting of cobbled streets and interesting shops. In the evening the village comes alive and you can sample some of the finest food at the harbour side restaurants or those with roof top terraces offering views of Kalkan by night.

For those who want to venture further afield there are plenty of other places to enjoy. Kas which is a lovely, larger harbor village is about 20 mins along the coastal road or why not venture inland to the amazing Saklikent Gorge about 30 mins drive is a great daytrip with river tubing and restaurants.

The sunken city of Kekova can be reached by boat. From Kas, hop over to the nearby Greek Island of Meis.
