Stylish, contemporary beach cottage very close to the beach with stunning coastal path walks. Located on a popular surfing beach with Bigbury on Sea and Burgh Island only 10 minutes walk away, In season sea front bar and fish and chip beach shack. Just 15 mins walk to Journey's End Pub or 10 mins (tide permitting) to The Pilchard Inn on Burgh Island.
The Loft has two bedrooms, One king size double with TV, wardrobe and en suite bathroom with walk in shower. One Twin / King Size Double with wardrobe, TV / DVD. Family bathroom with large shower. Large kitchen and dining area with fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, gas hob and oven. First floor large living room, TV / DVD, opening onto a glass fronted enclosed balcony, with table and chairs. The Loft benefits from central heating and private Wi Fi. Private off road parking, outside shower to wash off on return from beach, we can offer safe storage for boards, bikes etc on request. BBQ also available. Quiet, calm location.

Lovely stay in a beautiful house. Had everything we needed for a relaxing family break. Lovely welcome pack on arrival. Bed linens all lovely, great selection of games, we especially enjoyed articulate. Challaborough itself has a beautiful beach, great for morning stroll with the dog. Can recommend for a relaxing break with fresh air, gorgeous views and then a lovely snug house time back to.

Very accommodating and greeted us on arrival with welcome gifts. Great location and very close to the beach. Property was very clean. Great location as the dogs loved the beach and coastal paths were easily accessible. Recommend a visit to the journeys end but booking essential. All in all a fantastic break away

Excellent, comfortable and tastefully appointed beach house just a few metres from the picturesque Challaborough surf beach, Bigbury, Burgh Island and the great ocean walk. The little villages of South Devon were a delight, particularly close-by Ringmore with excellent eating at free house The Journeys End.

The property was lovely and well equipped. We were surprised however to find that it overlooked a large caravan park. It was a quiet time and there was no noise but at high season it may be different.

A great beach.location, made for those that enjoy the sea, sand and fresh air offered on the Devon coast. The propert worked well for us and our dog. The hosts had really thiigh carefully about what is needed for a seaside homiday, the outside shower, the well equiped kitchen and a great outside space.

Really enjoyed our stay. A beautifully managed home - cosy space to relax in the evening, well provisioned kitchen and good size bedrooms - and hosts very welcoming (scones on arrival!). Location fantastic for both Challaborough and Bigbury beaches. Kids loved it.

Amazing location

We have just returned from the most amazing week. The location of the house to the beach made the holiday, it is literally minutes. We spent the week on the beach as had beautiful weather. We took the SUP to the beach daily, the weather meant we had calm waters. Russel and Amanda were fantastic hosts.

Mid-Week Break in Challaborough Bay

Lovely property in close proximity to the beach at Challaborough Bay and a short walk to Bigbury. The property was as described and overlooks the Challaborough Bay holiday park. It's great for surfing and visiting Bigbury/Burgh Island. Salcombe is a short drive and there are many National Trust places to visit. Note that the drive down to the property is a typical road to the coast (e.g. steep and narrow).
