About this property
Modern Villa, pool, terrace, small orchard, pebble beach, lovely views, sleeps 8
We offer DISCOUNTS for returning guests, for bookings in June and September and parties of less than 4. Please ask the owner.
Please note that this is a family Villa for our family vacation, and we rent it only when it is not used by us. We use the same space and equipment as our guests.
Our last guests from Sweden wrote in June 2024 in our Visitors' book: "Thank you so much for letting us stay in your Villa. Everything has been perfect!"
We apologise that we do not support instant booking. We like to be in contact with our future guests and we send them additional information about the house in the form of a "User's manual"
Set into a steep hillside Villa Lozna is built on 3 levels, covered with famous local white stone (used from Roman times), and offers all that is needed for an excellent vacation.
The ground level has a pool, a large stone terrace with 2 BBQs (inside and outside) a dining table, teak wood terrace for sunbathing and a small orchard (13 olive trees, lemons, oranges, pomegranate). The swimming pool (7x3m) is equipped with lights, massaging pumps and the endless pool pump. The house on that level comprises a large living room, kitchen and bathroom.
At the middle level there are 3 bedrooms with a balcony, two bathrooms (one en-suite) and a storage room for luggage.
On the top floor, which offers uninterrupted views of more than 50 km of the coastline, there is a living and dining room with terrace, well equipped kitchen and one bedroom and bathroom.
There is also private parking for 2 cars. The Villa was built in 2006 and is constantly modernised.
The entire Villa is very well equipped: Two fully equipped kitchens, internet TV, free unlimited WiFi, air conditioning in bedrooms and living room/kitchen, dishwasher in both kitchens. A great benefit for our guests is our hostess who speaks English, lives in the house next to us and is exceptionally helpful. Guest can get help with choosing places to eat, buy local produce, visit good places etc. The pool is inspected by a specialist technician daily and cleaned when necessary.
This Villa is primarily our own family house which we use in the summer. When we do not use it we offer it for rent and we expect our guests to look after it as if it was their own. Everything we use is left for the guests to use, and this will include, coffee and tea, oil, vinegar, spices and similar, that we have used. Books, maps, TV, everything is the same for us and for our guests. And in the visitors' book, in which our guests can leave their suggestions, they all appreciate the homeliness of the chalet.
We have unlimited internet, all in one printer, spare paper and ink cartridges, various electrical connectors which we use when we work from home from the chalet. So we recommend it if you need to work from home. Members of our family do it very often. A perfect place to mix pleasure with being a digital nomad.
Another service that some guests use is the very well developed dental business on the island. We recommend a dentist in Supetar for whom we have had many good reports. It is 10 km drive from our house and it is a main town on the island, so one can have a nice little excursion or shopping expedition, while at the same time having dental work done with the same quality and significantly lower prices than at home. If you want to consider it please phone them and for more information see: https://www.google.co.uk/maps/place/Ordinacija+dentalne+medicine+Dr.+Stazi%C4%87/@43.3796699,16.5203013,13.69z/data=!4m10!1m2!2m1!1ssu%5Betar+dentist+stazic!3m6!1s0x134a9d99f1782b3b:0x72c4b7252535a90a!8m2!3d43.3848877!4d16.550108!15sChZzdVtldGFyIGRlbnRpc3Qgc3RhemljWhgiFnN1IGV0YXIgZGVudGlzdCBzdGF6aWOSAQdkZW50aXN0mgEkQ2hkRFNVaE5NRzluUzBWSlEwRm5TVU55ZVdSNU5HbG5SUkFC4AEA-gEECAAQOg!16s%2Fg%2F1q6bkc4xx?hl=en&authuser=0&entry=ttu&g_ep=EgoyMDI0MTEyNC4xIKXMDSoASAFQAw%3D%3D
The owners will try to accommodate special needs that guests may have, but we apologize for not accepting pets.
Mala Lozna (Small Lozna) is a very popular bay with pebble beach which is less than 5 min walk away. The grocery shop is also nearby and the lovely old town is 15 min walk or less than 5 min by car.
Postire is an old fishing town on the Island of Brač and it now boasts a new and very modern fish processing factory where both fresh and processed fish can be bought. In the town there are a number of restaurants and coffee shops in the port, while groceries, butcher, bakery and farmers' market are just a minute away. There is also a new marina for yachts.
Brač is third biggest island of the Adriatic with the tallest mountain of all the islands and with fabulous views. It is well connected by ferry to Split, the second city in Croatia. There are many activities on the island, interesting places, towns, beaches, museums, and in particular the world famous white stone quarries from Roman times are in many places and you can buy many small (and big) stone products to take home with you. Excursions to Split, the site of the Roman Emperor's Diocletian Palace are recommended, and many of our guests like to take a catamaran and visit Hvar, the neighbouring island.
Various seaside activities from snorkelling to windsurfing are offered on the island but they change every year and we recommend that you investigate them on the web or ask us to help you. Brač also has an airport well linked to several cities during the summer season.

About the host
Hosted by Dr Jasna Knezevic

I am a retired pediatrician and we built this house to be enjoyed by our extended family. When we are not using it, we offer it to guests to enjoy it and help us meet the running and maintenance costs. It has everything for enjoyable holidays and it is set in the small town of Postire where we like the usual Mediterranean atmosphere, not overwhelmed by tourists. All our neighbours live there all year so we are among the locals, although we live in Zagreb.
Why they chose this property
We built the property in 2006.
Having visited the entire Croatian coast we believe that islands are more attractive than the mainland. But to minimise the problems with ferries and other logistics, we chose the island with best connections and very near the second biggest city in Croatia (Split). So we enjoy the best of both worlds.

What makes this property unique
A quiet immersion in the life of an Adriatic island community. All modern amenities with complete equipment for a memorable holiday. Lovely views from the balconies, life on the pool level with garden, barbeque, or you can enjoy the equally well equipped upper level with binoculars and extensive view over the sea and the mountainous mainland beyond.
