Newly renovated, the cottage offers high quality, comfortable accommodation for couples, families or larger groups of 8 or up to 14 when booked together with its neighbouring cottage which also sleeps 6 and the Hayloft which sleeps 2.
The cottage is fully kitted out with handmade mattresses, sumptuous toppers, unlimited fibre Wifi, Smart TV with Freeview, DVD player, Sonos music system, linens and towels supplied, underfloor heating in the kitchen and conservatory, woodburner, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, hairdryer in each bedroom, BBQ, solid oak floors throughout, garden with terrace, use of shed for storage of bikes.
First floor comprises, master bedroom with king size bed and views over the garden and paddock beyond. A twin bedroom with two full size beds and bathroom with shower and double ended claw foot bath. The third bedroom is on the ground floor again with a king size bed and separate toilet close by.
Cosy lounge with woodburner, fully equipped kitchen including dishwasher, microwave and washing machine, snug and conservatory with underfloor heating. Outside entertaining areas are perfect sun traps with a lower terrace leading up a couple of steps to the lawn and outside dining area.
Burley is a perfect location for exploring the beautiful New Forest and fabulous beaches, which are only a short drive away.
Forest trails are only minutes from the cottage taking you on a journey through ancient woodlands, past ponds where ponies gather, through idyllic glades and across the open heaths. There is much to explore and admire here.
The village has several traditional pubs and tea rooms, a cider farm, fine dining restaurant and spa treatment rooms, village store, bike hire, riding stable, golf course and fishing lake, along with an array of other quaint shops, all within walking distance.
The market town of Ringwood with its many pubs and eateries is a short drive away, along with tree top trails and lake based water activities.
Take a short drive in any direction and you will discover the Georgian market town of Lymington, with its nature reserve and ferrys to the Isle of Wight; the fabulous coastline and beaches towards Highcliffe Castle; Mudeford with its short ferry journey to the sandspit; Hengistbury Head with its land train; and the Priory town of Chritchurch with its river and boating activities. Alternatively head inland in the other direction along the beautiful Beaulieu river towards the historic village of Bucklers Hard, close to the world famous Beaulieu Motor Museum and Abbey or visit the stunning Exbury Gardens.

About the host
Hosted by Nicole

We moved to Burley 25 years ago and fell in love with the unique beauty of the area and New Forest life style, which coupled with the close proximity to some of the best beaches and coastline the South coast has to offer makes it the perfect location for relaxation and recreational pursuits.
It was the most wonderful area in which to bring up our daughter and we feel very spolit to have lived in such a superb location yet less than 2 hours from London.

Why they chose this property
Keepers Cottage was originally built at the turn of the last century for the housekeeper of Shappen House. When an opportunity arose to purchase the cottage we were wowed by its superb location, central to the village yet tucked away from the everyday hustle and bustle, so peaceful but not remote. We were lucky enough to secure the neighbouring Gardeners cottage too and so set about restoring the cottage to a wonderful Forest home for family and guests to experience the lifestyle we have so enjoyed.
