My answer il long but necessary. First I need to state that this was the worst experience in my almost 20 years of hospitality! The arrival. The guests asked me to reserve a table at a restaurant at Easter and the following bank holiday. I spent a whole afternoon on the phone looking for it, finally I found one which is very good( for its reviews and my personal experience). They didn't even tell me wether they liked it. They also asked me to arrive three hours earlier and I agreed.I was having my Easter meal and had to interrupt it to complete the preparation of the rooms. The swimming pool. I cleaned the swimming pool and activated the cleaning robot. When they arrived it was so windy causing leaves and insects to fall into the pool, that's why I chose to clean soon before their arrival. Last year I had the new covering canvas installed so my pool il brand new, I absolutely gave them a perfectly clean pool! If some leaves and insects were on the water....I cannot do anything to stop the wind. What I can do instead is checking the rickety short stair of the pool. The bare inside, the shower, the bare stone, the hard mattresses. It is a welcoming, clean country house. While restructuring it I chose to leave the original Luserna stone, the earthenware tiles, the cementine tiles, my house is furnished with my mother's original piedmontese furniture. Many architects do not install shower boxes anymore, I haven't a shower box in my own house. As regards curtains, there is no need of them if nobody can see inside and since the windows have mosquito nets, curtains would only make the rooms darker. In Monferrato, traditional houses have windows only on the front side, as for the door I will double check il but I don't think there is any problem. None of my guests ever complained about the mattresses being hard. Usually it is the soft one which is less appreciated. My English. I admit having problems with it. I am studying it hard but I would rather speak French, I can understand it better. From the car plate of my guests which was from Switzerland, I thought they spoke French so I asked if I could speak French with them. The lady answered I could so I always spoke only in French. Nobody ever complained of my inability to communicate. The photos. Everybody can see the photos of my house and its rooms! I suggest my guests taking a better look at the photos next time. The reviews. If they were only from my friends and acquaintances I would have friends all over the world. That would be wonderful! Indeed some of my guests have really become my own friends. I really suffered for this harmful review, which really damages me, but it was also useful to make things clear and push away all those in search of a " traditional" modern arrangement. Your review does not mention the location of my house, the cleaning, the furniture, the restaurant, the landscape around. I don't think I deserve only two stars. Anyway, even if you left in a hurry , you should at least have done waste sorting and dispose of it!
