The apartment has been recently renovated. On the ground floor there is the living room kitchen with a double sofa bed, a first bedroom with a double bed, a bathroom and a lovely terrace; you enter via a staircase to the upper mezzanine, where you will find a double bedroom overlooking the living room, a bathroom and a small bedroom with two single beds.
The living area consists of a comfortable kitchen complete with dishes, such as plates, glasses, cutlery, pots, mocha, kettle and is organized with basic necessities, such as oil, salt, vinegar, coffee, sugar, water and tea, and a living room equipped with all comforts. The city of Syracuse, starting from its foundation in 734-733 a. C. by the Corinthians, it experienced a succession of dominations including the Greek and the Roman ones, which made it important and enriched from many points of view.
This is testified by the places of interest that can still be visited today, including: Maniace Castle, Apollo Temple, Cathedral (former temple of Athena), Palazzo Bellomo, Fonte Aretusa, Jewish Baths, Church of Santa Lucia alla Badia where the painting is exhibited del Caravaggio (The burial of Santa Lucia), Collegio Church, Palazzo Impellizzeri, Palazzo Vermexio, the Municipal Theater, the Sanctuary of the Madonna delle Lacrime, the Church of Santa Lucia al Sepolcro, the Regional Archaeological Museum Paolo Orsi, the Archaeological Park of the Neapolis where you can visit the Greek Theater, the Roman Amphitheater, the Altar of Hieron, the Ear of Dionysius and the Latomie del Paradiso.
In addition to being a city of culture, it is also a city known for its clear sea, its beautiful sandy and rocky beaches as well as for its refined and traditional gastronomy.
The apartment is located in the Santa Lucia district (A Buggata in Syracuse), a district of historical importance second only to Ortigia.
The main monument in the neighborhood is the Church of Santa Lucia al Sepolcro outside the walls, in the square of the same name where legend has it that the martyrdom of Saint Lucia occurred.
The apartment is NOT located in a limited traffic area, but is still silent as it does not face the street, therefore guests can arrive by car and park comfortably under the house, and then move on foot: in fact, in 5 minutes they can be reached both the historic center of Ortigia, and the archaeological park of Neapolis, where Greek tragedies take place in the spring. During the summer, guests can walk to the free municipal solarium and the equipped beach in 2 minutes.
The apartment is well served by public transport, as well as by bars, shops, bakeries and everything that can be used to make guests' stay even more comfortable. The cycle path is also very close.
In the main square of Santa Lucia, a few steps from the apartment, on Sunday the typical flea market is set up, as well as the market for organic and typical local products.
