This was a perfect apartment for 3 people and right in the center of everything. And Luisa is an amazing host! The apartment was clean and had everything we needed- even some snacks and wine on arrival!

Well located. Nice appartment. However even if it says that there is a smoke detector, it is not installed and functionnal. The host is very responsive and nice. World stay there again.

Famille sympathique. Ils ont laissé l'appartement en bon état. Les informations sur le détecteur de fumée étaient obsolètes, comme je l'ai dit au client, et ont depuis été supprimées. J'ai montré l'appareil désactivé et j'ai dit qu'il n'était pas pertinent dans cet appartement. Si j'avais réalisé que l'hôte voulait vraiment l'allumer, j'aurais pu l'allumer...Je suis très triste car l'hôte a beaucoup pénalisé l'évaluation de l'appartement pour un aspect qui a été clarifié et il n'y a pas d'appartement à Évora avec ces conditions, mais l`hote n'a pas valorisé les nombreux aspects positifs et uniques du séjour, comme avoir un garage privé, ce qui est unique et exceptionnel compte tenu de la difficulté et du coût élevé parking dans le centre historique.
This apartment was an excellent experience. It started with our host explaining in great detail about the historic significance of our place. She also provided a map and indicated where all the essential spots were located. It was so cool to come back and relax where merchant stalls used to stand. I highly recommend you stay here while visiting Evora.

The rental is in an old part of the city, but still presents very modern. It is in a good location though somewhat difficult to get to by car given the narrow roads.
Luisa was an excellent host. She really went out of her way to accommodate our 2 year old. It was easily the most child-friendly experience we had at a rental over our 2-week vacation.

Apartment was nicely appointment and convenient to all Evora has to offer. The host, Luisa, was quite helpful in explaining facts about her apartment and things to see and do in Evora. Having a dedicated parking space in a secure garage is definitely a plus in this city as parking is very much at a premium. The garage is a 5-8 minute walk from the apartment.
The small medieval house has been renovated and is very cute. Very nicely decorated. I ranked it 3 on accuracy of listing because the listing says it has a washer and dryer then says coin operated laundry. I feel this is a little deceptive as it is listed under facilities. We book places to stay so that we can do laundry during our trips. We Did go to the laundry but the listing needs to indicate the laundry is not a party of the facility. If you don't care about laundry, it's a great place to stay in Evora.

Sorry for the discomfort about the washing machine, but the information was out of date and predated Covid, when I had a lady who did the guests' laundry. This no longer exists, but there is a good laundry room 50 meters away for self-service washing and drying.
You should have informed me that you needed laundry, which I had helped to sort it out!
This apartment is nicely renovated from a very old dwelling and is attractively decorated. It is in a very quiet neighborhood, a relatively easy walk to the main square of the town. Luisa is a very responsible owner and communicates well, so arrival and check-in were fairly simple.
Positives are Luisa the owner, the very comfortable bed, plenty of pillows and blankets.
Our disappointments were as follows:
Storage is definitely very limited. One very tiny dresser in the bedroom is mostly filled with owner's linens. There is one closet in the main room which is difficult to access because of dining furniture -- it would be much more helpful to have small closets with shelves and not have luggage racks and other things that take up space in the extremely small bedroom.
The lack of privacy (no doors on bedroom) was a big negative for us because we are older adults who were traveling with a cousin -- she really had no private place at all and it felt awkward for all of us.
So part of the blame rests on me in thinking this room arrangement would work -- it did not and my cousin moved to a nearby hotel. The apartment would be fine for a couple traveling alone or with small children. With parking provided in the nearby garage, it really is a very convenient place to stay!

I was very pleased to welcome this friendly family. This is a 500-year-old house, modernized and adapted for short-term stays, but where it was mandatory to maintain the initial design. It is an open space, as indicated in the ad. The wardrobe is large and has four huge empty drawers. There is a small chest of drawers where there are actually extra bath towels. Sorry for the inconvenience you felt!

Es ist mir schwer verständlich, warum so viele Mie ter von der Wohnung begeistert waren, weist sie doch viele Mängel auf.
Zuerst die Pluspunkte:
- zentrale Lage in der Altstadt, 250 Meter vom zentralen Platz entfernt
- sehr gute Restaurierung eines historischen Gebäudes
- Tiefgaragenparkplatz in 500 Meter Entfernung
Hier die Zahlreichen Minus Punkte:
- in der Annonce wird eine 75qm Wohnung angepriesen mit herrlichen Weitwinkel Bildern. In Wirklichkeit hat die Wohnung (elektronisch vermessen) maximal 43 qm. Dies ist eine Dreistigkeit.
- es gibt in der Wohnung keine Tür, weder im Schlafzimmer noch im Wohnzimmer, es gibt daher keine Privat Atmosphäre.
- die ganze Wohnung ist mit unnötigem Tand vollgestellt.
- der einzige Kleiderschrank liegt im Wohnzimmer, und auch der kann nur zu50% benutzt werden.
-alle anderen Kommoden sind voll Haushalts-Utensilien
-die winzige Küche ist total mit Geschirr überladen, so kann man den Herd und die Mikrowelle nur benutzen, wenn man zuvor Geschirr herausräumt!
-man kann die Wohnung nachts nicht richtig verdunkeln, da neben der Eingangstüre ständig Licht einfällt.
- die Wohnung wird für 4 Personen ausgeschrieben, dies ist ein Witz, im Wohnzimmer gibt es eine durchgelegener Schlafcouch, aber wie bereits erwähnt keine Privat Atmosphäre und keinen Stauraum für 4 Personen
- das Bett im Schlafzimmer ist nut 140 cm breit, neben dem Bett sind jeweils nur 40 cm Platz, einfach eine Zumutung
- die ganze Wohnung ist voll Räucherstäbchen und Duftsäckchen, für Asthmatiker ebenfalls eine Zumutung.
Fazit: total falsche Beschreibung, viel kleiner als erwartet, alles zugestellt, total unpraktisch. Dafür ist dann der Preis zu hoch

I regret that guests have so many complaints about the apartment and that they did not enjoy a comfortable stay!
I filed a complaint about these guests on the day of their arrival, as I was very uncomfortable. They were verbally aggressive, overbearing and implied that I was lying several times. First because they had booked the check-in, although later they recognized that they had not done so after all. Second, they complained to the VRBL website that I was falsifying the information about the area of the apartment and its typology. On this subject, I explained to the portal that the property is original medieval, over 500 years old and, for that reason, has an area of walls that is around 1/3 of the total area of implantation of the property. For this reason, the constant dimension of the ad is close to the correct one, as well as the description that the apartment is an open space
I do not wish to receive these guests again and I do not recommend them.
Lives up to every expectation. Perfect for a couple—and both bed and fold out couch very comfortable. Fully stocked with every necessity.

Our host gave us perfect directions to get us to the property. She met us and gave us an orientation. The apartment is in a 500 yr old building and it has been beautifully renovated. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking. The space is honey and warm with books and art. Great stay in Evora.
