About this property

The House of Oaks, with wanderfull view of Naples golf

Wide and comfortable two level villa, suitable for families or friends, where you can enjoy the beautiful sunsets of the Gulf of Naples, with the background of Capri, Ischia and Procida immersed in the silence and in the scents of the countryside of Punta Campanella
Accommodation consists of three bedrooms on the ground floor with two bathrooms and a large open-air spa for children's games and a ping pong table. On the first level one bedroom with awardrobe space and one bathroom; a guest bathroom; a large living room with a dining area, with TV area; a large kitchen with table for eight people, equipped with all appliances; a furnished terrace overlooking the living room; a side terrace with barbecue and table for 14 people; a garden among the olive trees with hammock.
Even in many people, there is always a chance to find a personal space.
All household equipments, furnishing and kitchen utensils and are accessible. TV SAT, Phone, and free Wi_Fi are available.
The accommodation is not shared with anyone, and I will not be present during guest stay.

The house is located in the countryside, exposed to the west and, 250 meters above the sea level. Surrounded by oaks and secular olive trees, you can enjoy a stay in the absolute quiet with a pleasant climate even on warmer days, thanks to wind breeze and the freshness of vegetation.
It is accessible mainly by car with a rural road paved in concrete, and 2 meters wide. We recommended the use of not large cars as SUV, or Jeep. The house is equipped with parking for more than four cars.
Access to public transport services is rather difficult. To reach Sorrento (train station and hydrofoil) you can use SITA bus, on a regular schedule, with a stop near the village of S. Maria, which can be reached in about 20 minutes on foot
By car in 10-15 minutes you will reach the center of Massa Lubrense, Marina del Lobra, and Marina del Cantone. Sorrento can be reached in 20 minutes; Positano in 30 minutes, Pompeii by the Circumvesuviana railway in 30 minutes. To reach the station is still preferable to use the car: near the station Sorrento there are numerous parking lots.

The municipality performs a very good collection service and is very strict in respect of the timetable. Information about this is clearly stated, and the guest must bring waste at Scola Street (about 300 m from the house)

Lovely house for the summer

This would be a lovely house in the summer but sadly the weather wasn’t great when we were there and the house was quite cold without any heating. The drive up to the house is also very steep so drivers would need to be quite confident!

Fabulous views

The house of olive trees is a spacious house with a large patio with amazing views. Getting to the house was a little challenging, but we managed fine, without damaging our rental car. (Kia Proceed for size reference) . And we were told that the access road will be improved in November. The house was perfectly clean when we arrived, it’s an older house, so don’t expect everything to be sterile. There are four bedrooms, three downstairs and one upstairs, and four bathrooms, two downstairs and two upstairs. The kitchen is well equipped, there were some missing items, but that was quickly taken care of. I wouldn’t recommend the house for someone with mobility issues, as it is built on a hill, there are a fair number of stairs. It wasn’t as quiet as we would have liked, there are several barking dogs on the hill and a rooster who likes to start his day at first light. But you forget all that while watching the sunset next to Capri or seeing the lights of Naples and the stars while enjoying a limoncello on the patio.

Property is very difficult to get to, cleanliness issues, no hot water, and poor follow up by owners

The very kind and friendly property owners met us at the bottom of the hill and escorted us up. Please note that you must have a very small car if you are to drive up the almost mile long very narrow and windy narrow pathway up to the home. Our drives up and down while staying there were daunting and we damaged our vehicles. The owners although very kind, introduced us to Simone the nextdoor neighbor who we were to contact with any questions or needs. Enzo appeared to speak very good English when we met at the home. Shortly after they left we noticed: the rooms and bathrooms were very dirty, no hot water in any of the bathrooms, and the kitchen was not fully equipped. We attempted many times to contact the owner and nextdoor neighbor. Simone would not answer our calls or knocks on the door. The owners did not respond to our calls for three days. When he finally answered he claimed to not speak English and directed us to call Simone. We saw that Simone's small car had come and gone a few times so we not only called, texted, and knocked on her door, we left her a note on her car which we know she received. Never heard from her. She came to the property the day before we left and only two of our friends were there and she was not very helpful. We all had to take very cold showers or go without showering. Bathrooms were very dirty. Views from the property are spectacular, but after staying there for 5 days we can honestly say not worth it.

Nella presentazione della casa è chiaramente evidenziata la difficoltà di accesso, si tratta di un percorso di 300 m e non di un miglio come tu dici. All'atto della consegna non è stata fatta nessuna contestazione per la pulizia dei bagni e l'ineguatezza della cucina, che è invece molto attrezzata , come rilevato da tutti i precedenti ospiti. Gli scaldabagni sono tutti funzionanti e si doveva azionarli con un tasto presente in ciascun bagno : operazione elementare. Ti ricordo infine che la cosa vacanza non è un albergo e i proprietario deve intervenire solo in caso di guasti o emergenze. Sono sorpresa dei tuoi rilievi , che nessun ospite precedente ha mai fatto, e dato che ci comportiamo con tutti allo stesso modo ritengono che siano infondati. Cetty

Wir waren zu siebt in der Unterkunft; es gab mehrere Bäder und ausreichend Zimmer. Die Terrassen bieten einen wundervollen Meerblick, das war sehr toll. Die Vermieterin war in greifbarer Nähe und sprach Englisch, aber da wir Italienisch konnten, war das nicht nötig. Ich kam mir vor, wie im richtigen Italien, weil das Haus auch so eingerichtet war, wie ich es von meiner Italienischen Nonna kannte. Es gab in der Küche alles, was man für Kochen an Geschirr / Töpfen brauchte und sogar mehr. Die letzten Meter zum Haus sind in der Tat sehr steil und eng - davor wird man in der Anzeige hingewiesen. Ein zu großes Auto schafft das wirklich nicht. Wir haben unseren VW-Bus unten an der Straße stehen lassen und sind die letzten Meter immer zu Fuß hochgelaufen., hat ca. 13 Minuten gedauert. Das war zwar manchmal etwas anstrengend, hält aber fit. Wir würden auf jeden Fall wieder dort hin fahren.

Ruheoase mit traumhafter Aussicht

Wer die Abgeschiedenheit sucht, ist hier genau richtig. Hier lässt sich ungestört die Ruhe genießen. Das Haus ist vollständig eingerichtet. Die Gastgeber sind zuvorkommend und haben sich viel Mühe gegeben auf unsere Wünsche einzugehen. Die Aussicht ist traumhaft. Wie beschrieben ist die Zufahrt nur für kleine Autos geeignet.

Erholsamer Urlaub mit kulinarischen und kulturellen Hoghlights

Geräumiges, ruhig gelegenes Haus mit herrlichem Ausblick auf den Golf von Neapel, Ischia und Capri, Das Kochen in der gut ausgestatteten Küche war toll, Abendessen bei Sonnenuntergang auf der Terrasse war ein Erlebnis. Einzig die Zufahrt war eine absolute Herausfertigung.

Vacation with two families

We had a nice stay at this property. Cetty and her husband were very friendly hosts and very responsive if we had questions. The view from the balcony is breathtaking. The kitchen is very spacious, so great for cooking with a larger crowd of people. The road to the house is indeed very steep narrow and not in great condition. Only for very experienced drivers. If you don’t have a lot of luggage it’s also possible to park at the Main Street and walk up to the property, it takes less than 10 minutes by foot. The only negative point for us was that the pool was not in a usable state when we arrived, but the hosts provided us with all things required to clean it ourselves. For us it was a lovely stay.

Het huis ligt op een prachtige plek, met een schitterend uitzicht op zee, Capri en Napels. Het huis is gezellig en heerlijk ruim, zowel binnen als buiten op het terras. Nadeel was dat de beneden slaapkamers nogal vochtig waren, waardoor alles klam werd. Daarnaast was er 1 badkamer minder dan op de site stond vermeld. Kleinere auto’s zijn echt een vereiste om het huis te bereiken hebben we gemerkt. Maar bovenal hebben we genoten van de geweldige omgeving en de sfeer van het huis.

Villa bien agencée

Villa avec une vue magnifique sur les iles et la baie de Naples. Idéale pour 3 couples , max 4 . Les 3 chambres avec sdb permettent une intimité et un confort parfait . La cuisine et la terrasse sont grandes et le mobilier est suffisant pour 8 mais les équipements sont vieillissants. Attention l'accès est difficile, étroit et très pentu . Pour pilote expérimenté.

Stupenda villa vista mare

I proprietari sono persone gentilissime e sempre a disposizione. La villa ha una vista mare spettacolare con tramonti mozzafiato, noi eravamo in 10 e tutti hanno trovato un posto per rilassarsi da quanto spazio la villa offriva .

Un sogno anche in inverno!

In primavera ed estate sicuramente la villa darebbe il meglio di sé, con i suoi magnifici terrazzi in cui si può ammirare tutto il golfo di Napoli e l'isola di Capri, ma anche se non ce li siamo potuto godere a pieno all'esterno data la stagione, abbiamo ammirato tutti i giorni i magnifici tramonti dall'interno attraverso le enormi finestre! Già solo questo sarebbe bastato per giustificare un viaggio da Milano in auto! Poi la penisola sorrentina ha fatto il resto! La villetta indipendente e molto grande, noi eravamo solo in 6 ma ci si può stare comodissimi anche in più persone : ci sono 4 camere da letto separate e altrettanti bagni! Si sviluppa su due livelli e al piano superiore c'è un grande salotto e una enorme cucina abbondantemente attrezzata di piatti, pentole e posate! I contatti con la proprietaria sono stati eccellenti, ad ogni minima richiesta ci rispondeva in pochissimi minuti e l'accoglienza iniziale è stata tra le migliori che abbiamo mai ricevuto (e sono anni che utilizziamo gli affitti brevi!) Come segnalato già nella descrizione di Homeaway, la stradina per raggiungere l'ingresso della villa è in salita e piuttosto stretta, auto di grosse dimensioni avrebbero difficoltà a passare. Sicuramente un posto che consigliamo e riutilizzeremo se torneremo in zona!

Un'oasi di pace in uno scenario straordinario

Una vera oasi di pace, dove il cielo, il mare e la terra si incontrano in una armonia di colori. Di primo acchito può sembrare di non arrivare mai a casa ma una volta entrati si scopre una villa con tutto quanto può servire, semplice, funzionale ed accogliente. Una bellissima terrazza da cui si gode un panorama mozzafiato, tra Capri, Ischia, Procida e il golfo di Napoli. Gentilissima la proprietaria Cetty ed il marito, due veri signori della Napoli bene. Torneremo senza alcun dubbio!
