About this property

Green Garden House nearby historic centre of Amersfoort

Nice, cosy and well maintained garden house at walking distance (5 min.) of the historical centre of Amersfoort. You have your own entrance, good facilities and a lot of flexibility from our side to make your stay as comfortable as you wish (eg bike rental, breakfast, parking). The house is suitable for five persons, ideal for families. On the first floor a living room, kitchen, sleeping corner and bath room. On the second a large bedroom. You are very welcome! We speak English, Deutsch and French.

In the area there are a lot of public parcs (eg park Randenbroek). You can always lend our bikes and museum passes to explore the rest of the (green) area, like Soesterduinen or 'de Utrechtse Heuvelrug', Austerlitz or surrounding villages. Amsterdam is only 30 min by train and Utrecht 15 min. You are in the heart of the Netherlands!

Nice place, very close to lovely old town centre.

The "garden house" is pleasant and very convenient for the lovely old town centre of Amersfoort as well as being central for many other trips around Holland.

Wonderful visit

This is our second time staying at the Green Garden House and I have nothing but praise for the hosts and the house. The house is clean, well located and suits our needs perfectly. We will be returning to Amersfoort in the future and hope to stay with Paul and Karen each time. Thanks for a wonderful experience.

Brilliant location

Really close to the town centre - within easy walking distance. The owners were flexible, allowing us to check in early after an overnight ferry from England. They responded quickly to problems (bulb needed replacing, and TV issues), and were very friendly. The parking was a short walk away which was not clearly stated in the listing, but there was helpful information about this in the information pack. Some information in the pack was out of date (i.e. TV instructions). The stairs were very steep which might be a problem for elderly visitors, though there is a bed downstairs. The lighting was not ideal, particularly for reading. The fresh coffee beans provided were great! We would stay there again.

disappointing

A neglected garden with fruit rotting on the ground and trees. Poor reading lights in the sitting room. no proper TV. only nex flics or you tube. Even then the TV is only in the bedroom. Very limited sitting space or counter for preparing food.the young man who met us there had no idea of what to do. The owners were on holidays. the sister was there with limited info. No coffe or suger. When the coffee come it was the wrong size for the pot. Grandma came the next day to rectifie the error. No I do not recommend this place

Dear Diane, Thanks for your stay. Unfortunately we were not around during your stay - our apologize for this. Regarding your comments : 1) the garden is large with many different trees, we do our best to maintain it well. 2) reading lights, limited sitting space or counter for preparing food - reading lights are next to each of the beds and there’re strong lights in the common areas of the house. A sofa set (for 4 adults) on the ground floor and a sofa (for 2 adults) on the first floor plus chairs on both floors should be sufficient for up to five persons. A counter is available on the kitchen block. 3) the tv can be configured (receiving other channels) and placed on the ground floor as well - please indicate any preferences before arrival so we can take care of it (see also the house manual you received one week before arrival). 4) coffee/thea, there is normally an inventory in the garden house, please see the kitchen cupboard Best regards, Paul Schüller Karen van Weelden

Prettig en rustig verblijf nabij stadskern

We hebben een fijn verblijf gehad in dit tuinhuis. Op sommige vlakken is het nog een beetje improviseren (koken, TV-kijken) maar de gastheer en gastvrouw zijn heel toegankelijk en bereidwillig om mee te denken. Een aanrader!

Zauberhafte Übernachtungsmöglichkeit

Wir hatten eine wunderbare Zeit in einem sehr geschmackvoll eingerichteten Häuschen. Es hat uns an nichts gefehlt. Die zentrale Lage hat uns sehr gut gefallen, da man fussläufig in wenigen Minuten in der zauberhaften Altstadt von Amersfoort war. Die Vermieter waren super!!!! Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Casa molto accogliente e silenziosa. Paul e Karen sono estremamente gentili a pronti ad aiutarti in caso di bisogno. Ben fornita di tutto quello che serve per un soggiorno anche di più giorni.
