Hisa Gradnikova 1850's stone cottage in the heart of Tolmin old centre

Hisa Gradnikova... a quaint 1850's stone built cottage in the heart of Tolmin old centre. A unique style, with a curvy exterior, built around one of the tiny side streets of the old town. Our house is ideally located less than 850m from the festival venue in rock, metal days, reggae.

Our house is one of the closest rental properties you can get to the beautiful Soca Valley river, where the festivals and water activities take place, where you access the river by walking down the the Dijaška Ulica road. It's location means you can walk to all the amenities; supermarkets, bars, and restaurants, and beach area.

The house had two front doors, one was used as the entrance for the animals, to the animal quarters with the living quarters above, now one is a floor to ceiling window. The original 1850's cow ring and large stones in the walls, as well as brick work around the windows are all preserved.

There is a lounge, with lots of windows and a door this leads to a very small courtyard, with outside seating for 4 people and BBQ. The lounge windows views out onto the old narrow streets of Tolmin centre.

A modern kitchen, whilst keeping some of the original features, such as the 1850's stone sink, and seating, hob, and wood burning stove, and a downstairs cloakroom.

Upstairs there are two bedrooms, one having ensuite shower room, and a further family ensuite shower room. Both showers are small(70*70cm). Again, the views from the bedroom windows look out onto the old narrow streets of Tolmin old centre.

There is solid 1850's original wooden flooring throughout the upper level.

If you are looking for a clinically clean, smooth edges, modern property, do not book. We have curvy walls, in fact the entire house is curvy, old worn floorboards, and original stone walls.

We have two large fans, as well as a portable air cooling unit.

** we do our very best to have house ready by 15:00, but occasionally it might not be possible depending on how the house is left on change over days. We will keep you updated on the day of arrival in the rare occasion that this is not possible and request you to arrive a little later
