About the host
Hosted by Lisa King
We came here on holiday and never left! I am married to Geoff and we love our life here in this wonderful country. We are British and have made this our 'adopted home' complete with cat.
Why they chose this property
We spent years deciding on a place to 'retire' to and found exactly what we were looking for. We bought the house we rented for a week in this peaceful and beautiful village and spent some time renovating the barn on another parcel of land nestled under the hillside. It is a green and peaceful land where the people appreciate everything they have and welcome you as if they have known you for ever. There is always something new and exciting to do and so many things to see and learn. It truly is one of the world's secret special locations.
What makes this property unique
Every day we see different views, the mountains from our windows, walking across the fields and if we are feeling very energetic, a climb to a very special church. The views are ever changing with the seasons. Life has a very different meaning here and is to be lived each day with a new sense of wonder. The garden is my own personal favourite, I have planted a rose garden and kiwi fruits run across the roof of the terrace. A perfect spot for that evening glass of something and a barbecue.
