Cozy Lakefront Cottage on a Quiet Cove

We have opened our home again for your vacation stay after an extensive renovation. Enjoy one of the top 12 most luxurious lakes in the world, according to cityneversleeps.com. Picture yourself sitting lakeside on a large screened-in porch, sipping on a cup of coffee in the morning, enjoying the peaceful lake life. After relaxation time, you can enjoy kayaks available on the property or take a nice walk at our local nature preserve in our community. We also offer a boat slip to park your boat or rent one at the local marina about 10 minutes away. In the evening, enjoy watching the sunset on the dock or sit by the fire pit and talk about the great memories you created. This is a great property to experience family time. If you have young ones, we have a separate room in the basement to enjoy a game or watch a movie. If adventure seeking is on the list, the National White Water Center is approximately 30 minutes away. There is also a beautiful nature park, complete with a greenway to take your morning jog, located less than a mile from your lake house. If more outdoor activities are on your list, we have several state parks about 45 minutes away if you want to hike the trails in North Carolina. Your cozy cottage is approximately 35 minutes from the Charlotte International Airport.

Thank you for staying at our lake cottage this week. We hope you and your family had a great stay! Below is some check out instructions. Before your departure:
Interior: Please remove linens and leave them on the bed. Leave towels on floor in the bathroom If you can please load the dishwasher and start it. Please take all trash to the outdoor containers.
Exterior: Make sure all doors are locked Please place all outdoor furniture in the same position as when you arrived. We wish you safe travels!
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Strict occupancy limit, any violation of holding events or having more than reservation limit will result in forfeiture of stay and loss of deposit.
Property Manager lives next door cottage and will check-in and out guest when available.
Owner will check guest in and out via phone or in person to overview function of stove, grill. Written rules will be sent via email as well.

Truly delightful! The only thing better than this beautiful home, on the lake with kayaks, beach area, and dock, was the accommodating host. Wow! He did everything to make our visit seamlessly spectacular!!Oh, did I mention the amazing screened in porch?? Ahhhhh, it was lovely. The large kitchen was perfect for cooking and entertaining.The neighborhood was great for going on walks. Shopping is close by if you need groceries as well as restaurants.Honestly, I can’t say enough to explain how much we enjoyed your delightful home.Thank you, Ed.Also, thank you for sending Em's retainer, she says her teeth are happy again!!

Fantastic House! Great Hosts

The house was perfect for 4 couples. Exactly as described, so many areas for hanging out. The back screened porch was amazing! Dock was great to hang on, I would recommend bringing beach chairs if you want to sit on the dock all day like we did! Was clean, responsive and super awesome.

The lake cottage had all the amenities you can ask for and more. Each bedroom was comfortable, the living room, screened in porch had everything you can ask for from dining to just relaxing. The kitchen was well equipped, too. Access to tge lake was easy. We are ready to return.

Me and my family loved this place. We took our boat and enjoyed boating and lounging on the dock. The house was great and had everything that we needed to feel at home. Lovely Escape

This is an absolutely beautiful property. Everything in the house feels brand new. The screened in porch is the perfect place to have your morning coffee or to eat dinner and watch the sunset. The bed was super comfy and the house/kitchen was well stocked. Everything was just beautiful! The owners were very easy and friendly to deal with. We wanted a place to slow down and escape the hustle and bustle of life and this was definitely it! There is enough close by that you can do as much or as little as you want. I would definitely stay here again.

Great time at Thanksgiving

It was a wonderful vacation for our family. The house exactly how it was described and more. Owners are very fast to respond any time. Lake was wonderful to watch. All rooms are spacious and we had everything we need. Sunroom was a blast. They left us a bottle of wine, even some treat for our dog. There were plenty of spices, teas we can use if we need. Thank you Diane and Ed. We will be back.

Absolutely Perfect

Beautiful house in the perfect location! Private, yet easy access to anything you need. Very roomy. Screened in porch was amazing. Everyone loved the comfy beds and all the amenities provided. Owners communicated great and were very responsive throughout the booking process…no need to talk with them during our stay, but have no doubt they would have been equally so then. Already trying to figure a week for our next stay! (We will bring toilet paper though. One-ply just doesn’t do the job!)

Relaxing, Peaceful Vacation

What a beautiful location! This was our first visit to Lake Norman and this Cozy Lakefront Cottage made for a perfect vacation. The house was clean and the beds were comfortable. Many conveniences were provided (even ketchup and mustard in the fridge). Ed was so helpful with providing information for a boat rental and other questions we had before our arrival. The pontoon boat we rented for the week fit into the dock perfectly. We were on the lake for hours each day. I can't explain the feeling of sitting on the balcony drinking coffee in the morning and eating dinner at night. We met Ed and Diane a day or two after we arrived, they were willing to assist in any way. I don't know how they arranged it but there were no mosquitoes to deal with and there were lightning bugs! The snacks and wine they left were such a nice touch. While there were options for things to do within an hour or so, we opted to stay on the water. The house has a couple of tubes that were available to pull behind the boat and a couple of kayaks and bicycles. There's a great Italian/Pizza place, Giovanni's, that we tried close by as well. We made so many great memories here with our son and daughter-in-law who joined us from Virginia with their dog. We can't wait to do it again!

I can't do it justice, But I'll try? It's Amazing!

I am so glad I chose this place, even happier the dates were available. I wasn't on vacation, But it felt like I was. I was there on business and I had only 1 complaint, It was tuff, Really Really Tuff to leave and go to work! IIt is Quiet, Clean, Very well stocked, it's got every thing you will need except your toothbrush. Your with in minutes of what ever you may need, but far enough out where you can see the Stars, have a fire in the fire pit or sit on the dock or deck or both and relax. If the weather is bad, they have that covered too with a covered deck up stairs and a covered porch/patio down. The walk out basement has a TV with VCR & Movies(I used it as my office), a full Bathroom, a Foosball table and you can shoot hoops at their arcade style indoor mini basketball game. Ed, His Family and the Home, the Views, Dock, Neighbors and Yard are ALL First Class and Second to none. You will not be disappointed renting this place, but you might be if you don't! I'd like to Thank Ed and his Family for allowing me into their Lake house and making me feel welcome while I was there. He went above and beyond to make sure everything was 100%. But it was really 110%, I don't think my stay could have been any better. This is the kind of place you want to keep quiet about and all to your self, but Ed is the kind of guy you want to do all you can to try and repay him for his kindness. I absolutely recommend this place and it's owners if your thinking about a great vacation. BUT, if your using it for business, I recommend having excuses ready to turn it into a Great Vacation. Well-provisioned vacation home

I have rented several vacation houses at various locations through VRBO and other organizations. This one was, by far, the best in terms of supplies stocked. The kitchen had everything we needed, and then some. Soap, shampoo, laundry detergent, and toilet paper were provided in abundance. There were a number of food items, such as popcorn, coffee, and some seasonings. The owners provided many extras, such as an air hockey table, a small selection of DVDs, 2 kayaks, 2 bicycles, pool toys, and even extra firewood for an outdoor fire pit. Ed and Diane have clearly thought through what renters might need to make their stay more comfortable and enjoyable. They were always available to quickly respond to questions, but not at all intrusive. I would recommend their property to anyone who is looking for a place to rent on Lake Norman.

We love this property because it features a 1 acre wooded area on a private drive that is that is located on quiet cove. The unique benefits of this property is that it is nestled in a quiet cove that allows for swimming and kayaking. It also is only minutes from the main channel to enjoy tubing or sightseeing.
Lake Norman also features several lakeside restaurants that you can pull your boat right up to and enjoy lunch or dinner on the lake.
