About this property

Cabin on White Water Toccoa River!

That's right, when you stay at Reeves Roost you'll also agree. Dense woods provide privacy and an intimate setting for your complete satisfaction!

Quaintly located on the Toccoa River in the center of the Aska Recreation Area, with beautiful scenic views, you can enjoy everything the river has to offer: swimming, fishing, and our favorite, tubing from right in front of the cabin. Along the river and at the base of our cabin lies a green field decorated by colorful wild flowers a fire pit ,hammock, dinning table and swing. At night, fire flies and stars light up the sky. Sorry, pets are NOT allowed.

Relax in one of the many swings, rocking chairs, or hammocks on the porch, which is nestled high amongst tall pine trees. Plenty of trails are located in the bordering Chattahoochee National Forest, including the Appalachian Trail. Other activities nearby include horseback riding,zip lining, multiple golf courses, whitewater rafting, trout fish hatchery, water falls, and antique shopping. Nearby towns are Blairsville, Blue Ridge, Dahlonega, Elijay, Helen, and Dillard.

We loved this cabin for a quick weekend getaway. We were fly fishing close by so we loved the location and the area was quiet and beautiful. The cabin was clean and quite comfortable. We will for sure for another weekend away!

Great stay! The cabin was beautiful, the location beautiful and quiet, with the river a comforting tone in the background. The driveway in is a little tricky, ,and if you have a huge car it might be a problem, but this is made clear in the instructions. The single master bedroom is plenty large, and the upstairs loft is spacious, although if other than your kids are staying there they better be good friends. Still, it was a super stay and we did absolutely enjoy it.

This was a really great experience with both the cabin and location and with the host. The communication with Jim was perfect and smooth.Whenever i had a question i got a quick response.The cabin was perfectly located in a beautiful mountain area. Unfortunately we couldn't access the "River" behind the cabin, as a severe storm with large amounts of rain came though the day of our travel to the cabin. It basically made the creek flow really fast with lots of muddy water. Too dangerous to get in and see where you were going. It did not allow me to fish there...That being said, the entire area, including Blue ridge and Ellijay was beautiful and very quaint. Overall a great experience and we will be back in the future!Eric.

Such a nice getaway! The cabin was nice, quiet and relaxing. It was really cold for a couple of days and there was even a crockpot that we made soup in and enjoyed just chilling out. The cabin was extremely well stocked. Loved feeding the birds every day!

Cabin was nice, well equipped. I spent most of the time that we were home just sitting on the back porch, listening to the birds and the river. Beautiful setting but some caveats:1. Lots of raw wood that attracts and holds dust. Not for you if you're allergic to dust. My grandson's allergies acted up pretty strongly any time he was in the cabin.2. Second bedroom is up some pretty steep stairs. Not for you if you have mobility issues, as does my daughter. It was quite difficult for her to go up and down. Because of that, she slept on the couch, which wasn't particularly comfortable. 3. The walk down to the river is quite steep and long. Again, not for you if you have mobility issues. 4. The cabin is pretty remote, quite far from anything you might need. I know I'm listing lots of negatives but just want everyone to make an informed decision. It's a nice place if you none of the issues i listed will affect you.

I'm sorry you didn't enjoy our cabin as most people do. You should had told us you that you had people with modality issue's. We are in our mid 70's and have no problem with the stairs or the walk to the river

Very good location. Remote, but very quiet and peaceful. Cabin is very well equipped, especially the kitchen utensils and appliances. Would recommend to anyone who enjoys peace and quiet. It was a great escape from the Florida heat.

There are as many as 4 birds on the feeders at a time. At night the flying squirrels come to the feeders as well !

We are both third and forth generation Tampa natives. We both are retired and enjoying every minute of it. We now live on a large ski lake in Land-o-Lakes,Fl. just north of Tampa .

Why they chose this property

We vacation in the area in the area in a small travel trailer with our two sons and fell in love with area. We then started looking of a lot on the river to build our cabin. We now spend more time with our grandkids and love it as much as we do.

What makes this property unique

We love the solitude, fireflys, deer, the sounds of the river, dinning on the porch and rain on the tin roof top.
