Reopened in the Historic Center of Ponta Delgada, Warehouses Cogumbreiro, the largest establishment of the Azores of the early twentieth century. The building underwent a profound intervention, based on a project by the famous Portuguese architect Manuel Aires de Mateus, and is now reborn with all its charm as a local accommodation and with an offer of cafeteria and ice cream.

Cogumbreiro Warehouses now have 9 T0 apartments and a selection cafeteria where you can taste various regional products, artisani artisan ice creams, and a variety of healthy meals.

Each apartment is thought to offer you all the comforts and ensure the greatest comfort and well-being that invite to the ritual of well-deserved rest for those who come on vacation or at work, having air conditioning, bathroom and a functional kitchen, without dispensing Wi-Fi, telephone and cable TV.

Very nice, clean place

As others have commented, this is a very comfortable, clean apartment in a nice neighborhood. The cafe downstairs is an added bonus. The food is great. We had a great time

Loved Ponta Delgada!

Very nice Air B&B overall. Wondered why there were ear plugs on the bed side table. Found out Friday and Saturday night. Very loud partying till 8 AM in the morning. Mariana was a great hostess and the Cafe was fantastic.

Lovely apartment!

Perfect location, easy check-in at the coffee shop downstairs, and host is communicative (I had no issues). The bed was extremely comfortable with both memory foam and feather pillows provided. The shower is spacious and the water pressure is "just ok". Having the cafe downstairs for breakfast was convenient, but it didn't open until 9, so I was already gone most mornings. I would absolutely stay here again for the nice accommodations and the location. Worth noting: If you are driving, the location is tricky to get to, and there is only on-street, metered parking nearby, which is a little inconvenient, but manageable. Also, the apartment is right above a couple of nightclubs, so the street below is noisy all night long, one morning people were out there literally screaming, even until 7:30AM. Housekeeping did proactively provide earplugs.

Nice week long stay

We had a nice stay in this studio for 6 nights. The location is super central Ponta Delgado: a supermarket next door and the harbor within a 5 minute walk. Less than 10 minutes from the airport. The only downside to the location are the nightclubs in the alley on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday mostly (and holidays): there is a lot of noise on the street from 10pm until 8am: earplugs are not always enough to keep the noise out. The hallway can also be noisey at times due to the other guests in the apartments next door: but not noteably. The cafetaria below is very cute and has amazing homemade pies as well, and if you have a question regarding your room the ladies will help out or reach out to the 'boss' (the vrbo-owner): they don't all speak English that well so keep that in mind and be thoughtful as they are willing to try! For example our room-lock suddenly wasn't working, apparently due to the batteries being empty, and this was fixed within 1,5h. We booked this room also because we like cooking locally once or twice during our stay as well, however we found this was nearly impossible (even a simple seafood pasta) because the room has almost nothing for cooking: a very small cooking pan, not the best knifes, a small cutting board and no spices/oil. We managed, but some basics might have been nice, as well as more light! All in all these would be our only remarks, and when lucky enough to visit Sao Miguel again we would be delighted to stay in the same room!
