Romantic hideaway, AC/Heater, Private cottage for 2!

Honeymoon Hideaway is self catered two-floor cottage has one spacious bedroom with a large queen bed (150 cm x 200 cm) on the second floor. The main floor hosts the fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, fridge, electric stove, oven ; dining room for 4, living room with a sofa bed for 1 adult; fiber Wi Fi, 2 full bathrooms (one with walk in shower and the other with a soaking tub). We have installed wall units for AC/heater and dehumidifier.
Decorated very nicely. You will be very comfortable and relaxed !

There's a beautiful covered terrace with stolen view of the ocean. Another covered terrace next to the kitchen entrance is perfect to enjoy breakfast with the morning sun shining through the giant plantano trees.
There is parking available inside the property gate.
Travel to all the great attractions of hikes, island touring from this hidden gem..
25 minutes from Ponta Delgada, 30 minutes to the airport.

Extra tourist tax
This is a new rule that came into effect in 2025.
Upon arrival at the Accommodation there will be an additional cost with the Tourist Tax of €2 per person and per night, with a maximum charge of 3 nights, that is, €6 per person.

Load and start the dishwasher
Gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys
Checkout is at 10 am or earlier. Please let the owner know which time it will be prior to arrival? Normally this cottage has same day guests arrivals. Cleaning time is as early as possible.
All trash should be removed from property. If its trash day, trucks pick up in morning. If not trash day, all trash can be taken to the Casa do Povo street bins across from church.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Property should be left in good condition upon checkout- trash must be removed prior to checkout-extra charges for private truck to remove it for you.
Housekeeping rules binder on the table at the cottage apply to all guests.

The property was fantastic. Our host Bonita was incredible. Very nice, great communicator, and informative on sites to see, Restaraunt recommendations and general information. We loved the set up of the home from every aspect. I love to cook and the kitchen had absolutely everything I needed for our extended stay. Will definitely be rebooking if available for our next stay.

The cottage is located in a rural area. You need a car to enjoy the location. I felt very safe here. The local store is a short drive. Maria, there is super helpful and gives lots of good information about what to see. The Miradouro das Cumeeiras is a 9 minute drive away. It's a wonderful spot to enjoy the sunset over Sete Cidades. Mosteiros and Ferraria are less than a 20 minute drive. The house borders a ravine where birds nest. You wake up to the sounds of nature. If nature is your thing, this place is a balm for your soul. There are sheltered patios around the house so you can enjoy the outdoors even if there is a bit of a wind.

Great little spot!

Great place with lots of privacy. The patio has a nice view of the ocean and we had our coffee there each morning. You need to drive to get to touristy parts of the island, but each drive is spectacularly beautiful! Bonita was super helpful in orienting us and giving us recommendations on the island. Would definitely go back!

Beautiful private property

Our stay here was perfect and exactly what we were looking for. It’s farther from all the other tourist destinations so will only work for you if you have a rental car. Views of the ocean with a nice breeze made sitting outside for morning coffee and dinner an added bonus for an already great stay. I would recommend.

Joao, This cottage is immaculate in condition and cleaning . According to Portugal law, shutters are for use to provide privacy. It is advertised that this is a secluded home. Yes there are Cacarros, sea birds that fly in at night and screech, part of the island nature. There was never a moldy or musty smell in this house. It is a cement house as all houses are here. The scent in the houses is cool cement similar as your basement in USA, nothing more. To better enjoy a foreign country is to research the area and conditions before you choose to visit or at least contact the host to learn more. You did neither!

Short but sweet

We had some difficulty finding the house but once we arrived it was lovely. The night sky was star-filled and one could hear the ocean waves in the distance. We enjoyed the patio with only the sounds of the wind and chirping birds to interrupt the silence. Our stay was cut short by a flight delay of 2 days so we only had 2 nights to take in the glorious view and impeccable accomodstions. Bonita was a helpful host. The bed was really comfy and the cottage is well supplied with all you need. We would certainly plan a return visit.

Prachtig verblijf, uitstekend schoongemaakt voor de aankomst. Veel ruimte, heerlijk rustige omgeving. Alles was aanwezig. De foto's geven de werkelijkheid weer. Elke morgen ontbijt met uitzicht op de zee. We hebben nog nooit zo'n schoon huisje aangetroffen.

Des informations incomplètes et contradictoires ont causées une surcharge non-autorisées de 100$ CAN à notre retour concernant la façon de disposer des déchets. Aucunes vérifications à savoir comment se déroulait notre séjour. Aucune reconnaissance concernant le fait que nous avons fait des tâches non-demandées pour laisser la maison très propre et ordonnée.

Séjour au calme à la campagne

Très agréable temps passé côte Sud. Très calme mais aussi très à la campagne. Ça nous a vraiment convenu et c’est ce qu’on recherchait. Il faut prendre la voiture si on veut aller à la plage ou si on veut aller au restaurant. En 5 minutes on est au bord de la Caldeira de Sete Cidades. Un mini léger manque de confort dans la literie (couette synthétique chaude et oreillers pas très conforts) mais c’est mineur par rapport au sentiment global de la maison qui est vraiment très confortable, facile à aérer et vraiment très très calme. Je recommande cette location à 200%. Et encore merci à Bonita pour nous avoir accueilli si chaleureusement.
