Hello, we are Eddie and Millie Lennox from the Mid Ulster area near our home town of Magherafelt. As a family more used to living in the country we purchased this holiday home in 2017 for our extended family and friends to enjoy peaceful days by the seaside with that cosy feeling of Village life. Although we have owned this home for only a short time we have gained some very good friends, during the extensive renovation period and hopefully for life. We carried out the renovations ourselves with help from friends and during this time the neighbours where a great help and enjoyed the latest updates on how things where getting on. We look forward to getting back to Freehall and Blue Doors as our escape and free time, we hope you do to.

Why they chose this property

We chose this property due to its location in a quite residential area of Castlerock. There is quite a strong community feeling with everyone looking out for each other. We have very good neighbours always willing to stop for a whiles crack and gossip and always willing to tell you what's going on in the area. Our Holiday home has all the benefits of a standard sized 3 bedroom, house with a secure rear yard for the children all to help you enjoy your stay safely without that cabin feeling. You will find we have provided those small items for all the family, especially those that make a house a family home but don't fit into the suitcase. Some toys for the kids, free WIFI, a small collection of DVD's and a good read for cosy nights in front of the wood burner Stove. During the renovation we tried to make the transistion between home and holiday home less daunting.

What makes this property unique

The Blue Doors is perfectly situated to North Coast transport links and for you to enjoy rural country walks down School lane towards the Mussenden Temple and Black Glen or a beautiful evenings stroll along the sea shore. Its Close to all the village amenities, use the short cut down Duck lane to the play areas. Cross the Railway footpath to the bars and restaurants and the Beach is great for the children with no need to worry about the car or travel. Just hop on the Train and travel from as far as Londonderry to Dublin taking in Coleraine and Portrush or take the bus from the stop on Freehall Road to where ever the wind takes you. Most important for us is the people of the Village. Castlerock is a living community all year round, rather than the usual holiday resort.
