Apartment in the heart of Città Alta Bergamo

It is one of the most evocative streets of Bergamo, 50 meters from the Funicular, in a quiet area, even if very central, of the Upper Town. The back window faces Via San Giacomo. The apartment is very nice, with new furniture and with a fireplace for a romantic evening. The bedroom has a real 1950s booth to divide the sleeping area from a living room that turns into a further double bed. The bathroom is essential, to give more space to everything else :-)

If you reach Città Alta with the Funicolare you enjoy a unique panorama and just get off, you just have to take 50 steps, and you have arrived. The apartment is located in a quiet area, in the street parallel to the shops. The less known, but more fascinating because it leads to Piazza Vecchia and Santa Maria Maggiore from a magical side of the Upper Town. The apartment is ideal for a romantic couple or for a family with children. As soon as you enter the door you breathe the air of the stately homes of the historic village. Climb up a flight of stairs overlooking the pretty inner courtyard and you have arrived. Inside you have everything you need to feel at home: a kitchen with a window, a fireplace, a small bathroom (remember that it is small, but essential), a living area that borders the room. In the middle a real 1950s restored booth.

Suffice it to say that it is the quarter where Finicato arrives, in the splendid Piazza "delle 7 vie" called Piazza Mercato delle Scarpe. At the beginning of the Upper Town, in the most evocative quarter of the whole historic village. In the square you will find two outdoor bars, a restaurant, a pub, a take-away pizzeria, an ice cream parlor. You will be 100 meters from the Rocca di Bergamo, 100 meters from Piazza Vecchia, 100 meters from the Duomo, Santa Maria Maggiore and the Colleoni Chapel, 100 meters from the Venetian Walls. Hence the name of our house. You can always meet people of all nationalities. You will stay in the side street, the quietest, the least crowded, the one that few know, but also the most magical.

You will be 50 steps away from the Funicular where you can also take the bus to the station and from there take the train or shuttle to the airport. Very easy. The house is in the best served place in the entire Upper Town. You can enter the historic center (ZTL area) with your car, thanks to the permit for the car that will be issued to you upon your arrival. The house is in the historic center and therefore once you have parked or arrived, you will already be where you need to be. Everything will be reachable with a walk.
