Beautiful charming loft in the center of Ghent - free parking!

Loft in historic house very close to the historical centre of Ghent, 5 min walk to Vrijdagsmarkt, many restaurants, shops and bars nearby. Quite area with museums, sightseeing, nice shops and bars. Stylish, warm and comfortable. Plenty of natural day light. Fully equipped (heating, well-equipped kitchen, washer/dryer). 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and 3 toilets. Free on site parking (9m long garage, suitable for two medium-sized cars parked the one after the other, or 1 long car).

Big (82m2) living room with fully equipped open kitchen (refrigerator, freezer, electric stove, microwave, oven, dishwasher, dishes, cutlery, glasses...). Television, radio.
Spacious bathroom with shower and bath tub.
Two bedrooms can be closed with a door. The third and fourth bedrooms are each located on a separate mezzanine, and are equipped with curtains providing full privacy. Three bedrooms have box-spring beds which we can make up either as double beds either as single beds, according to your wishes. The fourth bedroom has 3 single beds. All bedrooms can be darkened. There is also a hairdryer, washing machine, dryer, an iron and ironing board in our place. Baby-cot, high chair and toys are available. Do not let kids play unsupervised in the house because of the open staircases. The gas stove is out of use. This should not impact on your comfort since the central heating system is fully operational.
There is a city-tax payable of 7 euro per person per night, for all guests older than 18 years. This city-tax is due prior to check-in.

We stayed for 6 days, the house is very good , the living room big e very nice , the rooms are very good ( 2 of them are smaller with curtains, but works well ) the other two are bigger . The bathrooms are cozy and the showers goodThe house has a special location, near the historical center and 15 minutes far from the train station so we could visit Bruges, Antwerp and Lille easily We were 4 couples ( family) and the house worked perfectly for us

Great place to stay!

We came to Gent for a conference and a visit with friends. The property was perfect for our group of 7 adults and children. Centrally located, spacious, and modern - both the adults and the kids thought it was a cool place. The owner responded quickly to any inquiry and was very gracious. Highly recommend!!

Great Location

We enjoyed our stay in Ghent! House had plenty of space, big bedrooms, and a nicely stocked kitchen. It’s located in a great area and an easy walk to good coffee and tons of restaurants. The garage was a bonus!

Brilliant place

Len was a fantastic host, he was really helpful. It was the perfect place to stay, tonnes of room for us and bikes on a trip to watch the Tour of Flanders. Great location too with only a 5-10 min walk to some great bars and restaurants. Thanks Len 👍

Spacious loft apartment

Superb apartment about 10 minute amble along the river into main area of Ghent. Owner very welcoming, great explanation of amenities, places to eat etc. Lovely and clean, beer, wine and chocolates left for us also tea and coffee. Lovely bakery just round the corner and a Lidl not far away for those self catering but we ate out mostly, great choice of eateries.

Holiday Fun

Lovely property with parking was perfect. Just 3 in our group so plenty of space to spread out and recharge after sightseeing and enjoying the holiday festivities. Safe quiet neighborhood, felt private yet relatively close to all the activities and attractions. The only negative for us were the scratchy towels and toiletries offered. Nice place to stay for people who enjoy walking and exploring, I would definitely recommend.

Lovely loft!

We thought the apartment was lovely..cool, comfortable and spacious. It’s in a great location, a quiet area but near good places to eat and an easy walk to the centre. Host was easy to contact and prompt to reply. Only problem was the sofa cushions were a bit dusty, some of us a bit allergic… other than that, fabulous!

Beautiful designed loft within walking distance to the historic City Center of Gent. Spacious facility for group of 6 people. The only area to improve: kitchen equipment (ovens and glasses) and upper bedroom were not cleaned.

Charming home close to town

Spacious home with lots of character. Unique design. It was about an easy 7 minute walk to the central area of Gent and there were a couple of nice neighborhood restaurants and a small market even closer. We were able to drop our bags off earlier which was nice. Large windows and skylights let in lots of light, The more modern exterior of the building did not reflect the charm of the interior. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Light and airy loft for a group

The loft was perfect for the four of us. Location is a short walk to the center of Ghent. Across the canal was a hidden gem--Industrie Museum. And a lovely Italian restaurant. The loft was light and airy, the bathrooms modern. The common area has a nice seating area, a huge dining table and an adequate kitchen and a small powder room. Common area is up one flight of stairs, 3 bedrooms and baths a second and the fourth bedroom another flight (in case stairs are a problem). The host was immediately responsive to all of our messages.

Enjoyable experience in a unique property steps from the centre of Ghent.

We enjoyed the location, the size, and the uniqueness of this property and would stay again in a heartbeat. The only minor complaint thay we had was that although the property was tidy and well equipped, it was not quite clean when we arrived. We communicated this upon our dwparture and I'm sure it will be rectified for future guests as the host was very redponse and communicative throughout the rental process. We did not let the minor issues affect our stay at the great property so close to the centre of Ghent. Thank you for allowing us to stay.

The Apartment ist very beautiful. But some Things must by repair..the toilet flush doesnt gone...in the Corners some Things are Not good..need Paint...the kitchen is Not realy Clean..inside dirty by the knifes teribel...you need better knifes.... An the beds are too small....

Beautiful and spacious

It's really a great, massive, open space. Very cozy, lots of room. Great showers and such. Very nice to hang out by the fireplace with your friends. There was an unfortunate problem our first night - during heavy rain, some kind of problem flooded the house with a really horrible sewage smell. The property owner responded and apologized immediately, but we had to live with the smell until the next morning when someone arrived to fix the problem, which originated from the garage. Hopefully the remedy means future guests won't have the same experience. Other than that, perfect, and great communication from the host.

Unique place, lots of steps

Our whole family loved the loft. It was unique. The kitchen was more than fully equipped, although we would have liked instructions on how to use the oven/microwave. In the end, we were very grateful for the toaster. It took a day or so to get used to the steep staircases. This place probably would not be suitable for toddlers or less-mobile adults, but our 8-12-year-old grandkids loved the top floor and had no problem scrambling up the ladder-style steps to the top-floor loft. We had no problem walking to sites all over Ghent. The neighbors on the whole block were friendly and showed us how to use the parking meters on the street. The garage accommodates one medium SUV-style car. We were visited a few times by a small mouse on the kitchen level, but the kids found it entertaining. We recommend this spacious, interesting loft.

Heerlijk vriendenweekend gehad in deze ruime en centraal gelegen accomodatie. Schoon en modern sanitair, sfeervolle inrichting. Misschien de keuken nog wat fatsoeneren en een beetje meer poetsen, maar verder helemaal niets op aan te merken.
