What a wonderful find! We thoroughly enjoyed staying at the Garden flat, it was perfect for our needs. The hosts (including B the dog!) were friendly and helpful. A fantastic location for exploring the area. We will certainly stay there again if in the area. Highly recommend.

Such a pleasure to meet you both (and your beautiful grand-daughter), thank you for your lovely review - much appreciated. We hope you welcome you again on a future trip. Louise
The garden flat was beautiful and we had no troubles with the property at all. The roads in Surrey are a bit tricky at times, but everything else about our stay was wonderful. Louise was helpful and informative without being intrusive. We had a wonderful stay and would recommend the garden flat highly.
The property is fully self-contained - provided all the ‘necessary cooking, cleaning and washing appliances and amenities.
Very comfortable and quiet living conditions.
Beautiful setting with views of the Surrey Hills. Wonderful gardens with lawns, flowers, plants and hedges around the building itself, with extensive grounds then leading down to a large body of water just outside the perimeter of the property.
Highly recommend.
This is a great location for exploring the Surrey countryside. A well equipped kitchen with everything in good condition and a comfortable bed for a great night's sleep. The outdoor space allowed us to enjoy the beautiful garden and have direct access to the many hiking trails in the area. All together a great spot to enjoy a relaxing holiday.
Our stay in the garden flat was perfect for us and we look forward to returning some day in the future. Upon arrival we were greeted with a tray of tea, bread, granola cake on the kitchen table and milk in the fridge. From the day we arrived till the day we left the property, we felt welcomed by our hosts Louise, Peter, and B their dog, (well trained and eagerly checked in with us daily).
When we chose this property, we thought we would have to quarantine, which it turns out was not required due to a change in UK rules. It was a good choice regardless. The flat is clean, comfortable, and quiet. The internet connection worked great as my husband worked remotely whilst there. I had a fully equipped kitchen where I could cook and bake. The gardens are beautiful as is the surrounding area for walks in the countryside. The location is ideal for access to the local village, railway to London, or main roads to other parts of the country. We felt very lucky to have stayed here on the first leg of our extended trip through the UK to visit family and friends. We hope to return someday.
The flat worked perfectly for us and was only 5 minutes from Dorking which has excellent shops. The weather was very good during our stay so we were able to eat outside overlooking the garden which was most pleasant. Everything was there that we required.
This is a wonderful place to stay. I quarantined here after arriving from the US and it turned out to be a perfect place to stay. The flat is warm and cozy with lovely views over the garden and the North Downs. There was a delicious loaf of bread, butter, tea and milk waiting for me which was most welcome. Louis is so easy to deal with and the communication was smooth. There was plenty of room for me to work at the table and look out at the view. The kitchen was extremely well equipped and all the appliances are up to date. Comfortable bed and sitting room furniture. I really cannot recommend this place highly enough.
I stayed during my quarantine after arriving back in the UK so spent a lot of time in the cottage. Very comfortable and clean with everything you need for a self catering break. Louise was lovely and always available with suggestions and to answer any questions. Highly recommend.
A peaceful and comfortably appointed home away from home. A beautiful garden and access to walks in the North Downs. A short drive away from Dorking and the M25. We will return for a longer stay and to meet up with Bea the lab. Charming hosts. Highly recommended

Thank you very much for your very kind review. We so enjoyed chatting with you and hope the rest of your trip goes well.

Thank you for your lovely review Philine, very good to meet you and your family.

About the host
Hosted by Louise Scillitoe-Brown
We have lived here for almost 30 years, arriving with a tiny baby to dilapidated house and derelict garden.
We are still making discovers in the garden as we peel back layers. We are currently in the throes of creating a new kitchen garden and have found lots of rubble!
We love living here, walking in the beautiful Surrey Hills and seeing the seasons change. We also enjoy being close enough to London, to visit galleries, museums and the theatre and to the coast for bracing walks on flat sands.
Why they chose this property
Set in the beautiful Surrey Hills Lots of pretty villages, country pubs and interesting market towns About one hour to London or the coast outside of rush hour
What makes this property unique
Views - space - pretty historical garden - 10 minutes easy walk to the centre of the village with a bakers and general store, bike shop and art gallery
