This leopoldinian farmhouse of early ‘800s is placed in front of the beautiful Bòggina vineyard which produces our best Sangiovese wine.
The Bòggina holiday farmhouse is surrounded by a large garden, away from main streets but of easy access. The house is at walking distance from the village of Mercatale Valdarno (600m) convenient for a coffee, grocery shops, pharmacy, bancomat and restaurant.
The opposite side of this farmhouse has a small independent apartment used by the owner (named Bòggina II). The garden and the swimming pool of Bòggina however, will remain for your private and exclusive use.
Villa Bòggina welcomes up to 9 people with 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms and it is so arranged:
Ground floor: Large living room with Sat-Tv, Wi-fi, fireplace, kitchen equipped with dishwasher, microwave and kettle. Access to the garden. 1 double bedroom with private bathroom and direct access to the garden.
First Floor: entrance from an external staircase onto a covered terrace, 1 double bedroom with private bathroom, 1 twin/double bedroom and 1 bathroom shared with a bedroom on the second floor.
Garden and swimming pool: exclusive private use. Outdoor table and chairs, Barbecue, Wood oven. Deck chairs and sun loungers, pool umbrellas. The swimming pool is fenced, 6x12m wide and 1.6m deep and is maintained daily by our staff.

Private chef is available upon request.

Landmark of the estate is the medieval watchtower of Galatrona while precious renaissance works by Giovanni Della Robbia can be found in the old Parish Church of Galatrona. You can visit these charming hidden places with our assistance and include a visit of our winery and tasting of the special wines, olive oil and honey we passionately produce.

Get in touch with us for any further assistance on your holidays. Reception, 700 meters from the house is open all weekdays with staff ready to assist you during your holiday period.

Imagine waking up to the sunrise over the vineyard...

The Boggina villa on the Petrolo estate exceeded expectations. It was well equipped for our large group and had plenty of space for us to stretch out and explore. I HIGHLY recommend having their chef prepare one or more of your dinners for you. Incredible food and an excellent experience. Marco was an excellent host and took care of every detail. We made memories that will last for many years. Our entire group had an excellent experience. We hope to return!

Comfortable Farmhouse in a Lovely Setting

Our family group of 10 arrived at Boggina after a hectic but exciting week in Rome and Florence. We were ready for some rural peacefullness. We found it at Petrolo Winery. The house is casual and comfortable. We had rented both adjoining apartments, so we had access to 2 kitchens. We used the larger one for preparing family meals, which we ate outside at the large outdoor table. I loved waking each morning to look out over the vineyard and olive groves or sitting on one of the covered porches after a day of sightseeing. The kids loved the pool. The property is located within easy driving distance of favorite places in Tuscany. We arranged a tasting at the winery (very nice wines!), had a catered dinner at the house (delicious!) and were lucky enough to arrive on a day when we could visit the ancient tower that overlooks the property. Many thanks to Marco for the arrangements that made for a wonderful visit.
