Welcome to La Capanna @ Villa Volpaia. A tuscan farmhouse in the heart of the Chianti Region. Built over the old animal stalls, this cozy, newly renovated 1800 sq foot stone house is nestled in the picturesque hills between the medieval towns of Radda in Chianti and Volpaia. The area offers an abundance of old world charm, spectacular views, and is ideally situated for exploring the regions wineries and famous tuscan towns like Florence, San Gimignano and Siena.

The main floor has a fully stocked kitchen and dining area with an original fireplace.
Our comfy living room is a perfect place to sit and chat. It features 2 sofas one of which is a double couch bed that sleeps 1 -2 people.
Off the living room, you will also find a laundry room with washer and dryer and a full bathroom with tub and shower.

The second floor has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms (2 of them en suite) with luxurious linens and beautiful views.

The garden includes a private pool, where you can relax and soak up the sun while enjoying the breathtaking views. Right off the kitchen you will find a covered patio with a seating and dining area, perfect for al fresco meals and evening cocktails.

If you are looking for a peaceful retreat or a base for exploring Tuscany, this charming house will be just what you are looking for.

Hi! We are Michelle and Carlo Matteoni. We bought this beautiful property in 2022 as a Holiday rental and a place to come together with family and friends. Carlo is born and raised in Italy and I was born in California.

Why they chose this property

When we were looking for a property to call our own, this one stood out to us mainly because of the incredible views and because when we were first dating, Carlo took me on a trip through Tuscany and we stayed in the town of Volpaia for a couple of days. We immediately fell in love with the area and had since returned many times. It kinda seemed like fate that we found this property.

What makes this property unique

I am not sure I would say that our property is necessarily unique. Tuscany is full of gorgeous homes. I would just say that our house has an energy about it that makes you feel relaxed and happy. When we arrive at our house after being away for a while, we immediately exhale and smile.
