A comfortable well equipped flat with views of distant mountains, located in woodland off a cul-de-sac next to the Aviemore Centre, just a few minutes walk to the railway station, shops, restaurants etc. Aviemore is a popular holiday resort located in the Cairngorm mountains in the Highlands of Scotland. perfect for walking, cycling, wildlife, bird-watching and water sports. In the winter skiing can be enjoyed and it is ideal for both summer and winter sports and sightseeing. The scenery is spectacular and the wildlife abundant, as seen on BBC 'Spring Watch'. The flat is located in the centre of the village within easy walking distance of station, shops, restaurants, bars etc. It is set back from the main road in a woodland setting next to the MacDonald hotel complex with mountain views. It sleeps four adults comfortably with the possibility of also accommodating a small child. The accommodation is well equipped and of a high standard, with a 'home-from-home', comfortable feeling. There is ample parking and space for bicycle/ski/pushchair storage. Also within five minutes walk is a nature reserve, trout lake (where Osprey may be seen) and the newly refurbished Aviemore centre with a super new swimming pool , sauna and other sports facilities. There are many excursions to explore the surrounding Cairngorms National Park (e.g. to take a sleigh ride pulled by huskies, to feed the reindeer) or further afield to Inverness, Culloden, Braemar, etc.

We had an absolutely lovely stay at Grampian Court. The flat was wonderfully clean and fresh throughout. Everything you could need was there for you, linen, towels, teabags, washing up liquid etc etc and a fully stocked kitchen in terms of cooking for yourself. We found eating out in Aviemore and especially on the mountain to be pricey so it was great to be able to balance that with a bit of home cooking too. Some might find the furniture / decor a little old fashioned but we just found it quite charming. The heating seems to have a scheduled function as well as a boost operation on the electric radiators which we took a day or so to understand. Overall a very pleasant stay and the location was great for Aviemore itself and for getting to the mountain.

Thank you for your lovely review and I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay. I hope you make a return visit to the beautiful Highlands.
All we were looking for was somewhere comfortable to sleep during the Thunder in the Glens Rally weekend we got that and much more . The flat was clean and comfortable, not only that but close to the Macdonald resort where most of the activities were being held and just a short walk to pubs, restaurants and centre of town. I would certainly book againThank you Jackie

Thank you Steve. I look forward to welcoming you to Avie' again. Jackie
We liked the flat, it was fully equipped with everything we needed. It was very quit during the evenings and nights. It was nicely furnished and made us fell welcomed. It was perfectly situated for daytrips around the highland. It was walking distance to many restaurant and pubs as well as shops and the Strathspey Railway. It was easy to park right outside the building.
great place for trains busses and local walks, flat had everything you need, plenty crockery utensils and pans ,no oven but one was on order, but there was air fryer hot plate microwave and toaster,I was happy staying there and would do so again

So glad you enjoyed your 25th anniversary of Thunder in the Glen - hope to welcome you again
We already knew the area so finding this property right in the centre of town was a real bonus, we’ve been used to staying in a lodge about 6 miles out. The property was exactly as advertised and the joining notes from Jackie were comprehensive and we exchanged feats during our stay making us feel very welcome. Thanks Jackie.accurate, also we

Thank you Dave for your kind review. I look forward to your next stay in Avie'. Haste ye back! Jackie
Lovely spot. A personal welcome. This is a lovely location for sleep & go. I highly recommend the location for two adults! It’s a cute little flat with all of the amenities. Due to size the kitchen, eating area and sitting room are all the same space. The kitchen is well equipped but only two adults can lounge on the two seater, the other sitting options are bar stools, so no room for 4 adults to sit and socialize inside. A lovely garden if the weather is good. The queen bed was quite comfortable and it was nice to have a toilet attached to the room. The toilet is very loud, I do not suggest nighttime use. The single beds were less supportive for adultGuests, it would be a lovely room for children.

Hi Kris. Thank you for your 5 stars however are you sure that you have submitted the correct review as this doesn't sound like our flat? We have a separate kitchen, two settees seating 5 people, no bar stools and no garden as we're on the first floor. Many thanks anyway. Jackie
The apartment was in walking distance of the quaint town of Aviemore. You need a car or bike to explore the national park but restaurants and pubs are close by. This unit is on the 3rd floor so that should be added to the description. But for the price- it was a great base camp for the week in the Highlands.

Thank you for your very positive review. I've noted the suggestion regarding the level of the flat, which is actually on the second floor (in UK the floors count after the ground floor). I hope you return to Avie' in the future where you can be assured of a warm welcome
place needs a good change , wi-fi didn't work television was over ten years old didn't support our needs as we had a young child , no soap no toilet roll .. or shampoo , condiments or anything i know it's not a hotel but it's supposed to be a welcoming home and really was not , the close was something i'd except to walk into int the darkest places of edinburgh .. not a holiday home for a family anyway , for the price it was a joke really

I’m sorry to receive this since you allowed your 3 year-old to play with the front door key, feeding it into the storage heater. I can only repeat what I have explained to you in response to your previous complaints. This is my holiday home, furnished to my taste, since I stay there myself. There are plenty of photographs on the website of both inside and outside the flat and building, which is set in a woodland cul-de-sac (hardly the darkest places of Edinburgh you describe). The flat had undergone recent refurbishment three months before your arrival including: a completely new bathroom, new mattresses on all beds, new dishwasher, new microwave, new airfryer. It had also been redecorated throughout, with new carpets. If the furnishings were not to your taste, then why make the booking if you wanted a place looking like a Travel Lodge? Likewise little freebie body wash and shampoo sachets (most people prefer to use their own). I supply hand wash and washing up liquid. The cleaner left 3 toilet rolls, one for each night of your stay. She checked the wifi and confirmed it was working and the current visitors have also confirmed this. I supplied you with comprehensive information about the flat and Aviemore, including house rules, which regrettably you broke. I’m very sorry that the accommodation has not lived up to your expectations, so maybe it would be a good idea to look at the details of any future holiday accommodation before booking, thereby avoiding disappointment.
