🌊WALK TO BEACH, BAY, SHOPS and RESTAURANTS, near DISNEYLAND, CATALINA, AQUARIUM

My 2 story house is 1/2 block from oceanfront beach and 4 blocks from bay which is perfect for children.
There are 3 bedrooms that can sleep 6. There’s a generous sized master with king bed, bedroom with a double and twin bed and den/family room with a queen sofa bed. There is a Japanese floor mattress to sleep one extra (child).
There is one large full bath upstairs with tub and shower and double sinks, and a small 1/2 guest bath downstairs.
The kitchen has all the basic modern appliances and there’s a brand new washer and dryer conveniently located in the master bedroom.
There is central air and heating, a wood burning/gas fireplace in living room. There’s a charcoal barbecue grill on the kitchen patio.

I have a front brick patio with two lounge chairs, a table with four dining chairs and two captain’s chairs.
If you look toward the beach you often see the kite surfers’ colorful kites floating above the ocean.
and Catalina is also often visible.
You can't find a better location to be in the Los Angeles area than where I live. You get a small town feel with the convenience of walking yet with all the amenities of a big city. You are close to all the SoCal attractions like Disneyland, Sports venues and Hollywood, as well as all the best beaches for surfing and other water activities.

Perfect cottage for the Holiday

This beach cottage is beautiful and in the perfect location. Restaurants and shopping on 2nd street is just a few blocks up and the beach is only steps away. We had a wonderful time and would love to stay here again.

I couldn’t say enough nice things about this rental. It was the perfect escape from the heat with the sea breeze. Only 20 minutes from Disney too so you can enjoy all things SoCal has to offer. I will be back to rental yearly!

Adorable, well furnished

Our family of 5 stayed three nights. We walked to restaurants and coffee. The home was comfy and well stocked including extra linens, games and books. We did not cook in the kitchen but it had a big frig and stove. Beach and restaurants are easy walks. Quiet neighborhood w street parking although full. We were grateful for the single car designated parking in the rear. Host was easy and communicative. Would def stay again.

Great location and property in Long Beach

Catherine has a wonderful property in Long Beach which fit our needs perfectly! We needed a 3 bedroom, 2 bath home for a week long visit to the Long Beach/Seal Beach area for our party of 3 adults and a 4 year old grandson. The house is a cute, very comfortable, two story Cape Cod with an artistic, "beachy" decor. Very well stocked and having all the necessary appliances including a full size washer and dryer more than fulfilled our desires. Another plus was the availability of parking directly in front of the house on most days. One of our favorite places was the front patio with it's French countryside feel. Lush plants, flowers, birds, the friendly local squirrel and a waterfall to soothe the spirit made the relaxing environment complete. Catherine's house is within walking distance of beaches and playgrounds and has easy access to the shopping district, Aquarium and other Long Beach amenities. We found working with Catherine and VRBO to be very straightforward and problem free. This was a most enjoyable stay and will likely be our go-to location next time we're in the Long Beach area.

Adorable beach cottage!

We loved our adorable beach cottage! SInce I hate long winded reviews here it is: Charm beyond words - adored the white washed wood floors, perfect for 6 people very comfy beds, we were allowed to bring our 2 small dogs and they loved it too, My favorite part was the fenced in front patio - we ate all our dinner's outside, enjoyed bbq'ing out there, played ball with our dogs, took naps on the two lounge chairs. Parking spot behind the house was clutch! We used to live in Belmont Shore we enjoyed walking to shopping, meals and morning coffee! The only slight downside was the 1 1/2 bath for 6 is tight but the house is a jewel! ENJOY!

Comfy, cozy, super cute! Very close to beach!

We were lucky enough to stay at Catherine's home for a week. It is located in a part of Belmont Shore where I grew up. I left in the 70's. We were delighted with the house. Super comfy beds, close to the beach. It is filled with beautiful mosaics. Super cute patio and front yard with a potted plant garden. A deck off the master to watch the sunset. It has everything you need. We found the home and the owner delightful! We will definitely return!!!

We are Tracy and Catherine …. Tracy is a retired television comedy writer with a 30 year career, with credits including the Golden Girls and Home Improvement and created his own show “8 Simple Rules” with John Ritter.

I am an artist, currently doing stained glass mosaics, but love all sorts of arts and crafts involving wood, metal, ceramics etc, but mostly using repurposed materials.
I was born in Montana, grew up in Midwest until I was 10 (Chicago area) and Tracy was born close by in Santa Monica, and has lived in California all his life.
We have three children - two girls and the youngest a son, all born in Southern California.
We recently bought a home in Vancouver WA - we love green spaces and seasonal weather. We will be back and forth from there to Long Beach to visit family and friends.
We have done a lot of traveling ourselves over the years.

We are proud to have our daughter be property manager and Co-host - she takes great care of our guests!

Why they chose this property

Location, location, location!
We stumbled on this area when looking for colleges for my daughter and fell in love immediately. I love it here for so many reasons - it's what I call "a big small town."
I like the small streets of Belmont Shore where I live, the beach city vibe, easy for walking or biking. The canals of Naples are a must see (on other side of bay and across from Peninsula) and little Seal Beach next door has a beautiful beach for swimming and surfing and a Main St. of it’s own.
The people are friendly and it's a relaxed place to be but for those who want action there's plenty. There's the beach and bay for swimming and other water activities and local attractions like Aquarium of the Pacific, the Laugh Factory, and the Queen Mary and Catalina a 40 minute boat ride away. Disneyland is just a 30 minutes drive on the freeway (that’s with no traffic).
You have the Performing Arts and Convention Centers and various sporting events hosted here like beach volleyball and the Long Beach Grand Prix, and other sporting and music events at larger venues around LA. There’s even an 18 hole El Dorado golf course and Catalina is just a 40 minute boat ride away. In September there’s the Classic Car show on 2nd St and there are various planned activities on the beach during summer, like a Polynesian Festival, boat races and movie nights on the beach.
There are great restaurants everywhere, Pine Ave/downtown, Shoreline Village, Alamitos Bay and in my neighborhood on 2nd St.
Many more SoCal attractions include Hollywood Bowl, Universal Studios
