Spectacular Private Beach Home, why walk when you can live right on the beach.
The Sandbar House, a summer vacation home in Wesquage, Narragansett, overlooks Narragansett Bay and Bonnet Shores with a view of the island of Jamestown and historic Beavertail Lighthouse ( the first lighthouse to be built in Rhode Island). The sprawling front yard, with lots of room for play, is the only thing that lies between you and the beach sand. The back yard includes a private stone patio; a fully enclosed out door shower and changing room as well as a beautiful fish pond. Off the front of the house is a beautify deck that overlooks the beach and includes patio furniture and a gas grill. Swim, surf, kayak, fish, and build a castle in the sand! Play in tide pools and catch a crab or a starfish; walk the beach in the moonlight or gather seashells by day.
The first floor includes a TV Room with a 42” wall mounted TV with sleep sofa and love seat; a sun room, living room, full bathroom, laundry room, and the Sand Bar Lounge; a family bar that has existed since 1970.
The second floor has a large living room and dining room with windows across the front that look out over the ocean. There is also access to the screened in porch and front deck which delivers panoramic views of the ocean and beach. The living room includes a 42” of TV, wireless internet and cable TV. The second floor also includes a fully equipped kitchen, master bedroom & bath, and two guest bedrooms - one with a queen bed and the other with two sets of bunk beds. Both guest bedrooms share a full bathroom. Relax, and succumb to the charm of Wesquage.

We booked this property for a girls trip and loved it. It was very charming, clean and comfortable. The location is also great for walking to coffee shops, ice cream etc. I would book this property again!

Hi Katherine,
Thank you for your wonderful review and please tell the girls you are all welcome back!
Best,

We really enjoyed our stay! Place is beautiful, clean and very accommodating. Beautiful sunrise! Beautiful views and great location right on the beach!
We rented this house for URI graduation weekend. It was the perfect location, weather was spectacular, plenty of room for everyone No need for an ocean sound machine to help you sleep, there is one just outside. Outside shower was amazing.
We really enjoyed this property. It was peaceful and we even saw a herd of deer on the beach. And within a short walk of property there are three respectable restaurants.
Beautiful location! The beach view is amazing and the sounds of the waves allow for a peaceful sleep. Everything you need, such as kitchen supplies bedding. and towels are included. The only downside was the blowup bed. This should have been noted in the listing. Otherwise this location is a wonderful summer and fall stay for the family.
The house was beautiful and felt like home (a REALLY nice home!) from the beginning. The primary bedroom was absolutely gorgeous and the other rooms were very comfortable as well. The location was great - walking distance to coffee, bagels, restaurants and ice cream which was very important to us. The proximity to the beach could not be beat and we visited it daily and always enjoyed the sights and sounds. The property manager was available for questions when needed and the guest rules were very reasonable. One of the best places we've stayed!

We had a wonderful weekend at the sand bar. Only regret is that we did not book it for longer!

The Sandbar House was perfect for our girls getaway! The check-in process was so easy. Our host and the caretaker answered all of our questions and were very easy to communicate with. The view was spectacular! We all enjoyed the screened in porch and deck. We also loved the easy access to the beach. The kitchen was well equipped, plenty of towels in the bathrooms and there was information about local restaurants and attractions to enjoy. The house was very comfortable with plenty of space for our group. Thank you for a wonderful week!
