About this property

villagehouse charming & traditional

The 2 level house is located in the heart of the maintowns` old and quiet part "Kastro", surrounded by white washed steps, flowers, small chapels, overviewing the rooftops and harbour. Comfortably for 4 guests and is so cozy you`ll love beeing there.
Its' location gives you the choice of a peaceful, romantic envirement around the house. And also just a few steps and paths up or down the village a great variaty of sophisticated shops, cafe`s & tavernas. Since the steps prevent cars from coming in this part of town, you find parking possibilities at the upper ringroad about 50m from the house. (Suitcases can be pulled most of the way from the parking) The house has been renovated recently and kept loving taken care of.
Of course children are very welcome! They should be familiar with steps thow.
The kitchen has all you need, the bathroom is small but complete. Wooden stairs lead to the first and second floor where you find a bedroom with two single beds and in the attic a large bedroom with a double-bed. Here is a balcony for two persons wonderful to enjoy a coffee or glass of wine watching the boats come in and out the harbour.......Apart of spending time on one of the beautyful beaches, Skopelos offers lots of possibilities to have a great time such as hiking, sailing, kayaking, boattrips to the neighbour islands, sightseeing, or just exploring the beauty and charme of Skopelos town with its hundreds of chapels, having little breaks for coffee or a good traditional "meze" (titbit) in one of the tavernas at the promanade.
For any further questions please don`t hazitate. I`m glad to help!
Guests have their intire privacy.
In case of need they can always find me on my cell phone.
By your arrival I`ll pick you up from the harbour and take you to the house. I`m mostly on the island myself and you can always reach me by mobile phone. The house is all yours during your stay.
In case I`m not available at the harbour you will be sent exact instructions how to get to the house. And be in touch.....
The neighbourhood is so pretty, that it reminds you of the typical greek postcards. White washed houses and steps, flowers everywhere,a little chapel right opposite ,cats dozing in the sun, and no cars or motorbikes!!! Wandering through town you might here a "gia sou" (hello) or have a little chat with one of the local women who sometimes sit on their doorstep in the afternoon. Or go to listen to some unplugged life greek music in a taverna further up the steps......
To get to the beaches there are buses all day long. And you can easely rent a car or bike. Also bicycels are for rent.

Perfect!
My wife & I were doing 3 Greek Islands in 2 weeks and we kicked it off with 6 nights at Villagehouse and it was just perfect for us, a whole house rather than an apartment, bags and bags of character, lovely wooden stairs up to a twin bedded room on 1st floor and onwards to a king room in a very spacious attic which had views of the harbour and beyond. We wanted to be high on the hill side in Chora, near Kastro rather than being down in the port. Because of that please be aware that it is a stiff walk up many steps once or twice daily in the heat. It is what we wanted but might not suit elderly or disabled folks. Francesca, who manages the house on behalf of Mimis the owner was always on hand to answer questions. We booked through Owners Direct (now HomeAway) and to be honest the pricing on their website is a mess so please ensure you get the correct price for the month you are staying from Francesca before you confirm. If we ever go back to Skopelos we wouldnt stay anywhere else though and it spoilt us for the rest of the trip.
