Self Catering Rural Farm Cottage + Heated Pool Cornwall

This superior cottage is the perfect base for a memorable Cornish adventure. This thoughtfully converted spacious two storey barn conversion is the perfect place to get away from it all. The “upside down” arrangement allows for the entire first floor to be a large living space for cooking, eating, sitting & relaxing. Woodburner. Pine stairs (with stair gate at the top) lead up from the ground floor entrance hall to a fully fitted kitchen area with washing machine, dishwasher and microwave. The sitting area has a colour TV with free-view, DVD player. The floor to ceiling windows allow lots of natural light in, and the French doors lead out to a balcony with views over the swimming pool and the valley beyond. With slate floor throughout, Godrevy Barn offers a master bedroom with en-suite shower room with WC, a twin-bedded room and one with bunk beds. Central Heating. Family bathroom has a bath with shower. Onsite car park. WiFi. Travel cot & Highchair on request. The pool is shared between the 4 cottages, and is open May -Sept. Superfast Wi-Fi.

Wir würden herzhaft empfangen mit frischen Scones, Tee sowie frischer Milch. Das Anwesen eignet sich hervorragend für Familien mit Kindern. Es gibt eine Schaukel, jede Menge Tiere und einen kindersicheren Swimmingpool. Der Blick aus dem Fenster war stets sehr erholsam und wunderschön zugleich. Einzig die Sauberkeit dürfte in der Ferienwohnung etwas besser sein, zudem sind manche Stellen renovierungsbedürftig. Alles im allen war es ein sehr netter Aufenthalt der vor allem durch die freundliche und hilfsbereite Art der Ferienhaus Besitzer gekennzeichnet war.

Fantastic accommodation and location

The property is just fantastic. We stayed in the Godrevy Barn and it met all our needs . We were welcomed by scones and tea left out for us on arrival and lovely flowers in living area and bed rooms . Beautifully cleaned and well maintained. The swimming pool was a lovely addition to our stay and very well kept. The surrounding area was so central to all the places we wanted to visit and our grandchild loved looking at the animals on Coombes farm . Jez and Lou were very welcoming and had time for us helping with places to go and lovely general catch up . They put on a Friday night BBQ for those who want to join them which was a lovely send off . We will definitely return.

Brilliant holiday home, everything you could need for a week away. Pool was lovely and the children enjoyed it so much. Lovely farm and we enjoyed feeding the animals and looking round. Beautiful, peaceful location but great for sight seeing in North Cornwall.

An incredible break at the characteristic Godrevy Barn. What a delight. Unparalleled accommodation, first class owners, a beautiful setting, a traditional feel, yet with modern luxuries. The children loved the farm animals, trips to the beach were amazing, and so much to see/ do locally. First class. We will return soon. A hidden gem.

Relaxing and welcoming family break

We stayed at the cottage with friends over the Easter holiday and found it to be the ideal location to explore Cornwall. Lots of fun trips out, as recommended by Louise and Jeremy, the very friendly hosts for whom nothing was too much trouble. The cottage was immaculate, very comfortable and well equipped. The kids loved the morning tour around the farm to feed the animals and loved collecting the eggs every day. The only downside was that it was too cold to use the lovely swimming pool, had to make door with the playground this time. We will definitely be rebooking for a summer break!!!

Farmer Jez and Lou have created a tranquil hideaway in a beautiful valley setting. Our cottage was very well maintained, clean and had all we needed for our week away. Kids loved feeding the many animals with farmer Jez. A++++

We moved to the farm in 2013, and haven't looked back. We love the peaceful location of the farm, and the fact that it is so accessible that you can be back on the A30 in 5 minutes and explore all the lovely places there are to find in Cornwall.

Why they chose this property

Coombe Farm is a rural location of safety and peace. It is an ideal place to relax and chill out, yet a super convenient spot for exploring North Cornwall, and even South Cornwall. The heated pool is very popular, boasting temperatures of 30 degrees (open from end May to September) it is hard to drag yourself out. When you do, however, it is well worth it and there are so many fantastic places to explore. To name a few these include; Tintagel, Boscastle, Eden Project, Trebarwith Strand Beach, Widemouth Bay, Crackington Haven, surfing at Polzeath, rock pooling, fishing for crabs, climb Roughtor on Bodmin Moor, Port Isaac, and much more depending on what you are into. There is lots for everyone!
