Quinta dos Carvalhais is a farm with 27.00 ha (olive groves, blueberries, currant, cereals and forest) located next to the Serra da Estrela Natural Park and next to the Mondego River.
With a prime location, the views are magnificent and inspiring. In the distance you can see the four mountain villages that surround the Quinta ... The horizons are vast and luminous!
At night the starry sky is unique and authentic. This is a world without pollution.
Guests can participate in agricultural activities if they wish.
The house, fully equipped, combines the old and traditional traces of Beira Interior and Serra da Estrela, to interior, comfortable and contemporary materials.

Great holiday home

This is a great holiday home for everyone who wants to enjoy Portugals nature. The apartment itself is nice and equipt with everything you need. The pool is also very nice. Joao is a very pleasant host and wants to give you the best experience possible, so i would certainly reccomend this holiday home!

Chilled out...

The perfect spot to relax and unwind, this is a little piece of heaven. Susana makes the most divine mirtle jam which was wonderful for breakfast on the terrace. We can’t wait for an excuse to return.

A quiet place

Relaxing as expected, quiet and peaceful. As someone else mentioned before, the lack of a living room needs to be pointed out. When the weather is nice, this is not a big issue but during rainy days it is. Joao, Susana and their assistant are caring Hosts who want you to have a perfect stay and are always available.

l'appartement est très bien au calme . nous avons pu nous reposer autour de la piscine .plein de choses de la nature à voir autour de la maison . oiseaux qui viennent nourrir leurs petits dans le mur entourant la piscine. etc Joao est très gentil pour aller à l'appartement il vaut mieux passé par la sortie 24 que la sortie 25 la route est plus facile

Un endroit parfait pour se reposer

Location confortable avec de beaux volumes. Cadre très agréable au milieu des plantations d'oliviers et de myrtilliers. Une zone pas très touristique mais avec des choses à voir pour animer le séjour... entre deux moments au bord de la piscine ! Nous avons passé un très bon séjour. Propriétaires sympathiques et nous recommandons également leur huile d'olive !

Tranquillité

Endroit super tranquille pour passer des vacances reposantes. En contre bas, nous avons eu la possibilité d'aller cueillir de très bonnes myrtilles sur le terrain de Joao. Nous n'avons manqué de rien et Joao et Susanna ont été à l'écoute pour s'assurer que nous passions de bonnes vacances. La Quinta est composée de deux appartements en bas et d'une autre location au dessus. Nous pensions être seuls mais nos voisins n'ont pas été dérangeants compte tenu de l'espace extérieur. Nous avons tout de même pu profiter de la Quinta en famille, seuls pendant une semaine grâce à la gentillesse de Joao qui a bloqué les réservations sur la deuxième semaine. Concernant les environs, beaucoup de choses à voir : La Sierra da Estrella, le marché de Trancoso le vendredi, Guarda et Viseu. Bref, nous avons passé les vacances que nous voulions et nous aurions bien aimé rester plus longtemps pour profiter de ce merveilleux pays (tant pour la gastronomie, les paysages que les gens). Location d'une semaine avec trois enfants dans les deux appartements. Superbe piscine, avec un paysage très beau devant soi. Un endroit où l'on vie dehors grace aux terasses et au climat 😉 Des belles ballades dans la Serra de Estralla, au pont d'arouca et au Passadiços do Paiva. De jolies produits locaux proposés par Joao et Suzana (huile l'olive qu'il fabrique, miel, vin rouge et vin blanc) Ils sont très sympa et disponible.

Tolle Unterkunft

Leider waren wir nur 4 Nächte vor Ort, wir wären gern länger geblieben. Die Aufteilung der Räume, der saubere Pool, die gesamte Umgebung: einfach nur toll! Entspannung pur und ein ruhiger schöner Ort, um mit dem Auto die Region zu erkunden. Danke für den supernetten Empfang und Betreuung.

Ein ruhiger Platz in ländlicher Umgebung. Geräumige, saubere und top ausgestatte Unterkunft. Ideal zum Erkunden der umliegenden Städte und Burgen sowie Ausflüge in die Serra da Estrela. Ein eigener (Miet)wagen ist empfohlen, die Öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel haben wir nicht getestet. Die Gastgeber sind sehr hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend.

A wonderful time

We had a good time at this lovely place, stayed here for two weeks. We loved the site, the landscape, the silence, the lovely pool, the blueberries and the currants, the hills, the days and the nights. Pontos Bons: Limpeza da casa (faltavam chavenas para o pequeno almoço) Simpatia extrema do anfitrião Sossego do local Local fantástico e lindo Pontos fracos: Internet fraca Aquecimento não funciona à noite Ficámos numa casa só de um quarto que não aparece no anuncio. De resto, no verão deve ser muito bom para aproveitar a piscina. De referir a gatinha, malhadinha, que era também muito simpática!

Olá, O aquecimento funciona 24 horas/dia, se os hospedes o entenderem. O alojamento em questão tem 3 aquecedores a biomassa e 2 eléctricos. É só ligar.... As chávenas para o pequeno almoço existem e estão na cozinha que é totalmente equipada! A Internet actualmente boa, com a aquisição de um novo equipamento! Obrigado! Até breve!

A Quinta dos Carvalhais é um local fabuloso. Toda a área envolvente é muito bonita, a casa está muito bem cuidada com áreas generosas. A vista é dislumbrante. É o ideal para passar umas excelentes férias com a familía e/ou amigos. Tanto o Sr. João, como a esposa, são pessoas muito atenciosas e preocupadas com o nosso bem estar. Uma experiência a repetir sem dúvida.
