About the host

We have lived in Greenport and on the North Fork for 27 years. We are designers and our studio is based in Aquebogue 25 miles west of Greenport.
Ask about our North Fork winery and artist studio tours. We love introducing visitors to our friends and their work. We can tailor a tour just for you.

Why they chose this property
The tree-lined block is beautiful has several nineteenth century houses and is bordered by the Peconic Bay. Swimming and boating from the public dock at the end of the street is perfect in summer weather.
Greenport is a great walkable village. We love it for its scenic waterfront, its historic architecture and its proximity to beaches, agriculture and aquaculture.

What makes this property unique
Greenport offers an unusual set of amenities. The harbor is alive year-round with ferries, kayaks or seabirds. The boat to Shelter Island is fun. The restaurants like Scrimshaw, American Beech, 1947, and Noah's serve local wines, seafood, and brick oven pizza along with great views and good design. Our local microbrewery Greenport Harbor Brewery is literally around the corner in a restored firehouse (growler comes with the house). Our friends at Beall & Bell present an eclectic array of antique and modern furnishings and objects - like a cool museum. The period carousel on the waterfront at Mitchell Park is guaranteed good for a spin. The park also hosts numerous free concerts and dances in summertime. You are of course only a bike ride away from 59 steps beach on Long Island Sound or Orient and its quiet streets, historic Oysterponds schoolhouse and other treasures.
That's just a short list - we have much more.
